TEAM ONE EVENT LOG
READY: START. Roster: Theodore Leonhardt + Atsushi Nakajima, Augustine Sauveterre, Shinji Matou + Makoto Yuuki, Nazuna Nito + Apollo Justice, Sakutarou Oda + Howard Phillips, Carter + Mao Yata + Izumi Miyamura, Hitori Togusa + Sora Pu'uwai, Pitou Blythe + Astin Beaufort, Elizabeth Brisby + Ritsu Sakuma, Junpei Tenmyouji, Light Averly, Kiyotaka Ishida, Soujirou Katsuki + Peter Hoboken On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering at the beach with several other volunteers. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a small fishing boat equipped to carry your group. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached. All aboard! Welcome, good morning, thanks for coming out. We've got a little journey ahead of us. Hope you like the ocean. Stepping aboard, you'll notice that the boat is equip with everything you could need for a short trip three hours south of the city: fishing poles, breakfast, life jackets, etc. In addition, you'll find a handful of flares with the Retrospec symbol stamped on them that you may want to take with you. At the end of this trip, you'll find yourself pulling into a harbor of a region known as Pesgare. ![]() Constantly overcast with the threat of rain, Pesgare is a bustling little harborside town with a wide ocean and streams leading fishermen and traders in from all parts of the world. There’s greenery and the scent of salt in the area and it’s a balmy sort of feeling the longer you linger outside. The region known as Pesgare is filled with cramped quarters and cobblestone-esque roads and it’s hard to tell who is and isn’t from the area. There are multiple languages that can be heard (including some that are absolutely not from this earth) and it’s hard to track all of the activity in the main village. Along the roads are brick buildings and wooden shacks and the general area of the town itself is only about 500 square miles. Most of the area to explore ahead is the ocean itself to other ports and islands around. Everyone in the town is friendly. Literally everyone. It’s hard to find anyone who isn’t in a jovial mood and who isn’t willing to help a neighbor or a stranger and they will be happy to chat about the places they’ve traveled or the people they’ve met along the way. Several of the stories revolve around travels around the globe from once upon a time, and there are others that speak of worlds far off and strange planets that you may never have heard of. It’s hard to tell if they’re serious stories or not though as the townspeople regale the tales and laugh all the while. It’s hard to go anywhere in the town without someone stopping to offer you a free loaf of bread or rush up to talk about how you remind them of someone. It’s busy, busy, busy. A lot of the places in the area appear to be trade posts for certain specialties. This includes weaponry, types of fish, cured meats and veggies, bakeries, books, equipment, curio wares and more. It’s all about supply and demand and barter and trade here. It’s not recommended to travel at night, so most out-of-towners are directed to the inn at the top of the hill, The Ontispan. Several stories high and easily the most recognizable building in the port, you will find that it’s near the lighthouse and the owners, an elderly couple, are more than happy to take you in. There’s plenty of room! The lodging is nice and comfortable and the rolling sea outside your window is calming. However, payment must be made in the morning. No problem, right? You must have your wallet on you, mustn’t you? But the amount due is in a currency you do not have. You’ve never even heard of it! How are you supposed to pay for something like this? It’s all about supply and demand and barter and trade. The boat you came on is nowhere in sight and none of the other fishermen will consider taking you back to the mainland while you're trying to leave without payment. Looks like you'll just have to work off your debt, now won’t you? This is the Team One Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.
Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner! People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following: -Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts. -Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are. -Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.) -Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur. These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want! Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions, Participation Reporting, NPC questions. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links. OBJECTIVE ONE;
The inn could use a fresh coat of paint, but the couple is very specific about the kind of blue they want for their project. Get them the paint, you'll be able to pay off the debt. Extra luckily, they will be able to point you to the supply shop at the heart of town where this paint can be located.
Some of you may venture off to pursue the paint. Others of you may have other assignments you may wish to take up instead. However, as you approach the shop it becomes obvious that most people in this town are willing to barter and trade. The supply shop owner is a gruff sort of man, working with the tools that he has and skeptical of the need for this specific color of paint. He'll happily give it to you though...for three smoked salmon and some wire for his fishing hooks. Where are you supposed to locate those? Guess it's time to start looking.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Talk to everyone in town, collect the objects they require for trade, and return to the inn with the jar of blue paint.
The order of operations is as follows:
-Inn owners want paint, they’ll send characters to the supply shack.
-Supply shack owner wants three smoked salmon and wire for his fishing hooks. Speak to him a little more about where the wire can be obtained, learn the location of the curio shop, and barter and trade items on your person in the marketplace for the fish. You may also fish yourself and try to catch three salmon.
-Locate the curio shop and explore! Find the owner of the shop by navigating the interior of the shop, as he will have something you need.
-Map out the town and locate all important shops, talk to the townspeople, and get a feel for what's happened in the last several months.
-Head down to the docks and explore/loot the boats for items. Be sure not to get caught by fishermen if you steal, but if you speak to them they may provide you with something useful.
Some of these sub-objectives will need to be completed prior to receiving new objectives! Please pick and choose small groups to focus on the above.

OBJECTIVE TWO;
The fishermen give you the items you ask for and offer secrets of the ocean. The curio shop owner provides the wire you need and is pleased by your efforts. The supplies shop owner can't thank you enough for the fish and the wire. And when you obtain the blue paint, the couple at the inn are grateful for your assistance.
However, this is just the beginning. You see, now that the townspeople trust you, they're willing to let you in on a few additional secrets and desperately need your help to ensure the safety.
On the ninth, a new boat comes into the harbor with the Retrospec logo emblazoned on the side. A large box of supplies is hauled off of the boat but before anyone can board the boat sails off again. Inside the box are several items including fresh water, food, blankets, swimsuits for all sizes, and most importantly currency so that you may stay more nights at the inn.
On the evening of the ninth, however, another large boat comes into the harbor. Stepping off of the ship is a man, tall in stature and followed by a bodyguard, an assistant, and a contractor. The group doesn't even give you a second glance as they head forward toward the city's local government office.
As the group steps inside and the door shuts, the town immediately begins to buzz with nervous energy and talks about packing up and moving. Some talk about staying to fight. But more often than not the townspeople will look to you and compliment your communication and gathering skills.
You're willing to take the next step, aren't you?
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Find out what's happening in the town and come up with a plan to save the harbor village from being bought out.
Here is a suggested list of sub-objectives you can assign sub-groups to in order to complete this objective:
-Speak to the townspeople now that they trust the group and learn about the mysterious man
-Help the innskeepers paint their lighthouse with the blue paint that you've collected and replace one of the lights
-Gather supplies and organize a peaceful protest
-Speak to the head of the village specifically and learn about what can be done to try and stop this deal
-Ransack the ship the mysterious man showed up on and find what secrets he's hiding
-Track down this mysterious man and bargain with him. Depending on player action, this may help or harm the situation!
-Wildcard! You're free to suggest a sub-objective and run it by the mod team by replying to this comment. We will decide if it ties into this objective's theme and clear it while providing information

So I've been thinking.
You've all done really great so far on assignment and you've helped out where you needed to.
There are some things I need to look into though and instead of keeping you waiting around for a while how would you guys like an intermission?
24 hours. Back to the city for 24 hours, do whatever you want, if you want to come back and finish the assignment you meet back at your original meeting locations and I'll send you back.
I've never hidden the fact that this is all voluntary, but we needed to handle it this way to see what would come up.

OBJECTIVE THREE;
The lighthouse is newly painted with fresh lights and in perfect working condition. Trade around the market is at a high and it seems as though you've established yourself fairly well among the people in the city. Maybe there really isn't anything else for you to do here for now?
But overhead the sky rumbles and the clouds roll in as the rain begins to gather. Several of the sellers in the marketplace and shopkeeps close early to hurry home to their homes and their families. The first of millions of fat rain drops pitter-patter on the roads and the brick as the lighthouse shines brightly through the fog. For anyone who looks out to the ocean, however, they will see there are ten wayward ships trying to make their way into the harbor.
You wouldn't be so cruel as to leave them out there, would you?
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Head out to sea and rescue the wayward ships to guide them into the harbor.

But inside, everything is nice and toasty. There's plenty of hot food, blankets, and good company. Hope you like being nice and toasty because this storm lasts for days. Boats can't leave while the weather's like this and the fishermen are disgruntled but willing to share stories of the sea.
They'll talk about places they've sailed to, all on Earth and a strange amount of distance from Recollé itself. They'll share some of their treasures and stories about giant "monsters" they've encountered such as whales and squids.
Unfortunately for the man who wanted to take over the village, he remains locked away awaiting for the storm to be finished before they send him out for solitary confinement. The water crashes against his holding cell and every day, the chief of the village goes to ensure he's still held captive.
The fishermen will also tell the tale of a large sea serpent that lives out in the ocean and about some of the strange things they've seen. They'll talk about floating islands that seemingly disappear, creatures that try to pull boats in to drown them, and a strange blue, pulsating light they can see under the water. Some will call it magic or trickery, but no one can really pinpoint a solid theory beyond tall tales of the sea.
The stories are just stories, but if the party looks out the window they just might see the head and some scales of something far in the distance. Blink and you'll miss it though.
Thanks to the party's generosity in helping them with their little town's problems, the villagers will be gracious and offer them wares to take with them including food, clothing, small items and more. They will also be willing to negotiate setting up a barter system between the party and the villagers should they ever wish to come back and discuss opening a larger trade with the city of Recollé.
On March 1st, the storm will let up and the sun finally comes out as the waves calm down. The ocean settles down and the children begin to cheer. Hooray! They don't have to stay cooped up for any longer. The villagers pour out of the inn and back to their shops, checking for weather damage, uncovering boats and more. They will request help but will also understand if this group would like to rest.
On March 2nd, the boat the party originally arrived on will appear and a text from Zee comes to everyone.
