TEAM ONE EVENT LOG
READY: START. Roster: Theodore Leonhardt + Atsushi Nakajima, Augustine Sauveterre, Shinji Matou + Makoto Yuuki, Nazuna Nito + Apollo Justice, Sakutarou Oda + Howard Phillips, Carter + Mao Yata + Izumi Miyamura, Hitori Togusa + Sora Pu'uwai, Pitou Blythe + Astin Beaufort, Elizabeth Brisby + Ritsu Sakuma, Junpei Tenmyouji, Light Averly, Kiyotaka Ishida, Soujirou Katsuki + Peter Hoboken On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering at the beach with several other volunteers. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a small fishing boat equipped to carry your group. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached. All aboard! Welcome, good morning, thanks for coming out. We've got a little journey ahead of us. Hope you like the ocean. Stepping aboard, you'll notice that the boat is equip with everything you could need for a short trip three hours south of the city: fishing poles, breakfast, life jackets, etc. In addition, you'll find a handful of flares with the Retrospec symbol stamped on them that you may want to take with you. At the end of this trip, you'll find yourself pulling into a harbor of a region known as Pesgare. ![]() Constantly overcast with the threat of rain, Pesgare is a bustling little harborside town with a wide ocean and streams leading fishermen and traders in from all parts of the world. There’s greenery and the scent of salt in the area and it’s a balmy sort of feeling the longer you linger outside. The region known as Pesgare is filled with cramped quarters and cobblestone-esque roads and it’s hard to tell who is and isn’t from the area. There are multiple languages that can be heard (including some that are absolutely not from this earth) and it’s hard to track all of the activity in the main village. Along the roads are brick buildings and wooden shacks and the general area of the town itself is only about 500 square miles. Most of the area to explore ahead is the ocean itself to other ports and islands around. Everyone in the town is friendly. Literally everyone. It’s hard to find anyone who isn’t in a jovial mood and who isn’t willing to help a neighbor or a stranger and they will be happy to chat about the places they’ve traveled or the people they’ve met along the way. Several of the stories revolve around travels around the globe from once upon a time, and there are others that speak of worlds far off and strange planets that you may never have heard of. It’s hard to tell if they’re serious stories or not though as the townspeople regale the tales and laugh all the while. It’s hard to go anywhere in the town without someone stopping to offer you a free loaf of bread or rush up to talk about how you remind them of someone. It’s busy, busy, busy. A lot of the places in the area appear to be trade posts for certain specialties. This includes weaponry, types of fish, cured meats and veggies, bakeries, books, equipment, curio wares and more. It’s all about supply and demand and barter and trade here. It’s not recommended to travel at night, so most out-of-towners are directed to the inn at the top of the hill, The Ontispan. Several stories high and easily the most recognizable building in the port, you will find that it’s near the lighthouse and the owners, an elderly couple, are more than happy to take you in. There’s plenty of room! The lodging is nice and comfortable and the rolling sea outside your window is calming. However, payment must be made in the morning. No problem, right? You must have your wallet on you, mustn’t you? But the amount due is in a currency you do not have. You’ve never even heard of it! How are you supposed to pay for something like this? It’s all about supply and demand and barter and trade. The boat you came on is nowhere in sight and none of the other fishermen will consider taking you back to the mainland while you're trying to leave without payment. Looks like you'll just have to work off your debt, now won’t you? This is the Team One Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.
Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner! People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following: -Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts. -Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are. -Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.) -Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur. These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want! Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions, Participation Reporting, NPC questions. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links. You must ICly tap into the log within the first 48 hours, or you will be removed from your team. If your activity is low per objective, the moderators may reach out to you about reassignment as well. I think so. It's close enough, right? Ready, aand~ [ and, with the boost, nazuna wobbles just a little, but successfully grabs onto the fabric and gives it a tug. it comes loose--along with a bag of white down feathers, which overturns immediately on them both. he squawks an-- Unya! [ and grabs on to the shelf. ] Dun you dare drop me!!
[ worse has arrived ]
no subject
but nonetheless, even with apollo being the wet macaroni he is, somehow manages to hoist nazuna up enough to reach the shelf in question, though it's not without a struggle. nazuna is hardly heavy, after all, but apollo's arms begin to shake not long after he raises nazuna. there's absolutely no muscle on this boy, and it's a wonder he didn't just try to find a ladder, or better yet, climb the shelves.
there's an i told you so on the tip of his tongue, but he manages to keep it mental, at least (which means nazuna hears it regardless). he does begin to sway, the strain on his arms getting the better of him, but he stands his ground. somehow.) D-Don't worry, I won't drop you! Just... try to keep your balance and I'll let you down carefully?
no subject
thankfully, this two-short-people operation is successful enough, aside from the bag of feathers. they're sticking in his hair, to his face, on the tip of his nose, and nazuna grabs onto the shelf a little tighter and-- ] Ah, ah, choo!
[ he wobbles again, dangerously, and clings to the shelf as apollo starts to sway even worse. ]
Apochin!! [ it's kind of whiny, to be honest, but after a couple more seconds of wobbling, he seems to get his balance. ] O--okay. 'm ready--be careful!!
no subject
the feathers manage to avoid apollo narrowly, his own nose safe from the threat of sneezing and almost losing his balance. because he's sure if anything goes horribly wrong in the next five seconds, they're both going to end up on the floor with nasty bruises.) H-Hey, don't sneeze, that'll just make it worse!
(all apollo can do at this point is grip nazuna tighter, pray his back doesn't give out, and hope for the best. feeling nazuna become so unsteady and wobbly was horrible to his poor heart, his life flashing before his eyes--
okay, nothing that dramatic, but he was terrified for a moment. there's a shaky sigh as nazuna indicates he's okay, and apollo slowly begins lowering him.) Okay... okay, don't worry, I've got you, you're gonna be fine.
no subject
he grins, and holds up the blue ribbon. it's pretty long, even, and right as he opens his mouth to say something, a feather floats in front of his nose. he pauses, blows it out of the way, and then practically giggles. ] Pffftht. That was kinda fun, right? We did it!
[ though.. it's pretty small... ] Now we just need to find more!
no subject
and even apollo lets out a huff of laughter as the feather falls and flies away comically from nazuna's face, unaware of the few feathers sticking out of his own hair spikes.) I wouldn't call it "fun", but we got what we came for.
(he begins glancing around the shelves once more, trying to find something for them to use.) Did the shopkeeper say how big the vest needed to be?
no subject
nazuna lets out an 'mm!' of agreement, and reaches up to pluck the feathers from apollo's hair spikes with a fond little laugh, dropping them into his own hand. ] Let's make it for a barbie doll, or something. If that's the case, we only need maybe a piece or two.
Piece of cake, Apochin!~♪ Let's keep looking~! [ and he'll just march on! nazuna's optimism is unending sometimes. ]
no subject
he almost flinches away as nazuna reaches out, but once he sees the feathers falling from his hair, he instead just blushes and tries to brush out the rest of his hair without mussing it up at all. he's going to pretend that just!! never!! happened!!!) Y-Yeah, let's go, let's get looking and finish this up!
(meanwhile, apollo will try to subtly check his hair to see if it's been ruined at all, or worse, if he still has feathers in it. could this be, gasp, self-consciousness about his appearance?)
no subject
a few minutes of searching passes, but nazuna makes a little "mm!" noise and turns around. ] Apochin, catch!
[ and he tosses him a small hand mirror he found on one of the shelves. it's not far...don't drop it. ]
no subject
(regardless, he is silently thankful for the mirror, taking a little bit longer to straighten out his hair and search for any more stray feathers. once he's finished, he hands it back to nazuna. with his hands. and without tossing it.) Here, you can clean yourself up, and I'll look around for any pieces we can find.
no subject
it seems, even despite the situation, nazuna's in a pretty good mood. he's poking through what looks like an antique clock when he brings back the mirror, but he waves it off. ] It's just a couple feathers, Apochin, it's not the end of the world. You should see me on fingerpainting Friday ~
[ he will take the mirror, though! he takes a quick peek, then sets it back on the shelf. ]
no subject
apollo is hardly surprised by nazuna's good mood, it takes a lot to bring him down, after all.) I have seen you on fingerpainting Friday. You look like you got out of a paintball war.
(but apollo soon joins him on searching through the shelves to find any more scraps of blue velvet, and silently questioning why the shop owner couldn't just amke one himself!! the lazy fuck.)
no subject
[ he sounds a little singsong when he says so, imagining it for a minute--apollo swarmed by kids. it's a cute mental image, actually, and he makes a mental note to ask the administration about it... it might be fun. ]
Mmm... what else might be made of blue velvet? [ besides the ribbon anyway. nazuna can hear the little pings to apollo's thoughts every now and then, and, out of curiosity, he tries to make himself think. ] I can hear you complaining, you know, you should be a little more optimistic!
no subject
he presses a finger to his forehead in his usual position of thought, humming quietly as he thinks back to everything they've seen in the shop.) We might need to stick to just looking at clothing for now. It's all I can think of.
(he glances back towards nazuna, eyes wide as he thinks to himself (he hopes) that this can't possibly be happening, there's no way nazuna can read minds.) ... no you can't.
no subject
he tries again. ] You can hear me too?
[ so much for the blue velvet hunt, but suddenly finding out you can read your best friend's mind is a little bit more important!! ]
no subject
(WHAT DID RECOLLE BREAK THIS TIME, HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE MIND LINKED TO HIS BEST FRIEND no offense nazuna.)
no subject
I have no idea! I wasn't trying to listen, I'm sorry! [ at least he doesn't stutter much in his head... ] Maybe it was something we touched?
no subject
complete with wild, waving arm gestures, but also answering with vocal words instead of mental ones.) I-I don't know, how am I supposed to know!? It's not like we got a signal for this!
(but he has to calm down eventually, handle the rest of their task like a rational human being. he lets out a frustrated sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose.) We can... figure it out later. For now, we should probably just finish this guy's vest.
no subject
it's best to just ignore it. maybe. he nods, slightly shaken, and goes back to hunting for velvet... the cavernous shelves on his side aren't really offering anything good yet, though, and he squints up higher than his sight line, trying to check closer to the ceiling.
which means, of course, his thoughts drift a little. ] If only I was taller...!!
[ really was it nazuna who thought that or apollo, who knows ] What might have blue velvet on it...? Maybe a piece of furniture?
no subject
apollo himself is just in a bit of a daze from all this, choosing instead to attempt to focus on finding velvet instead of. anything else (it's not working).
it's certainly hard to tell if that thought was his own or nazuna's, but again, really not gonna try to focus on that. they could search around for a ladder, or a step stool, but who knows how long that would take. he simply shrugs at nazuna's question, humming in thought.) Probably. Like a pillow or something? Ah, but the owner might notice if we rip one up.
no subject
when he pulls back, he's covered in dust, and he sneezes, wiping his nose. ] ...and I don't think he takes inventory that often.
no subject
he can't deny, nazuna does have a point. the shop owner seems to have a very... relaxed sort of ownership. they haven't seen a single other worker their entire time here, and apollo is beginning to wonder if the old man runs this place alone. he shrugs with a quick nod in agreement.) I wonder when the last time this guy actually went through his own store. I think we're leaving footprints in the dust.
(... they aren't. but it'd be believable if they did.)
no subject
hmm... well, if no one's looking, it's not always wrong to be a little bad. nazuna claps his hands together, then, with a smile. ] O~kay! Let's find a pillow, then.
no subject
he can't help but be a bit amused at how easily nazuna is willing to vandalize a complete stranger's property juts to make his own life a little easier. looks like he'll never be able to defend nazuna with a clear conscience.) When did you become a troublemaker, niichan?
no subject
Bu~ut, even a rabbit can be a little tricky sometimes, nihihi. ♪ [ he is clearly enjoying this way too much. with that said, he traipses off to start looking for a big pile of bedding or something! ]
