WHERE: Sakura's dreamscapes
WHEN: August 19th
WHAT: Sakura could use some help escaping her dreamscapes, guys. Try not to get stuck in them.
WARNINGS: There's a lot, so gonna cover them underneath each prompt.
I. Church on the Hill
[When the dreamscape finally settles, a building will loom right in front of you – most likely a church, as the stone cross that sits at the very top is pretty conspicuous. However, given that the weather has suddenly shifted into a wet evening, rain clouds gathered ominously in the sky, the sight might not seem very godly.
The doors to the church appear shut. However, the silence is cut abruptly by the sound of broken… glass? Maybe a busted window?
Who knows. Have a look around: either through the church doors, or to hunt down the mystery of that noise. There might be plenty here to find.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature human parasites of the worm variety, emotional/physical trauma and abuse (mostly discussed, some shown), and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around, just lemme know what you prefer)]
II. Matou Mansion
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re inside a house.
... Or, at the very least, a very long hallway. It is the stuff made of nightmares because it’s dark, it’s cold, it creaks with unexplainable noises, and even if you turn around, there won't be a door.
Looks like the only way is forward for now. This should go fiiiine.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature the emotional/physical abuse of a child (discussed, not shown!), murder, discussion of human parasites, looooots of worms, and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around)]
III. All the World's Evil
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re in a large, expansive room – to call it a basement would not do it justice. It looks and feels like a crypt, instead, a place where the dead sleep, and the holes lining the walls won’t do anything to dissuade you from that thought. In fact, a whiff of the air comes back with the stink of decayed bodies, and though it might be faint, there seems to be… squirming noises.
No matter where you look, though, you won’t find anything living. The floors are bare. No bodies come crawling down the walls. It's as blank as a tomb. Instead, there are three potential ways to move forward. A wooden door to the left and a bolted door to the right – and then, a staircase that seems to lead up and up, to an unknown destination.
Try a door or try the stairs. Try something quick. Just because it seems empty doesn't mean someone isn't watching.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature discussion of trauma and abuse, murder, possession, suicide ideation, a girl who is obviously not in her right mind, and will absolutely involve some level of a physical or mental battle. 'Cause, y'know. Dark Sakura is not very nice.]

iii because im fucked up
he recognizes this place, from sakura's memories-- when he saw her as a child, covered in worms that not even his worst nightmares could produce. so, of course, the first thing he thinks of is calling the possible owner of...whatever this is ]
Sakura? Sakura, are you here?!
jaosdfhias oda is trying his best
Silence.
Not a sound or a whisper. For all intents and purposes, Sakura is not in this basement. In fact, nothing seems to be, not even the worms. Only eeriness and quiet will follow Oda until he picks a path to go.]

[ well, if that's the case, then oda's going to try to open the door to the left-- what is there? ]

Granted, he very definitely tries to find another way to go besides "forward," but once he realizes that's a no go, he gives a light sigh and begins walking down it. Slowly, and as silently as possible, his dream self the "Theo" most people on the app are familiar with, plain brown hair and simple clothes and all.]
no subject
He's got three choices from here: explore the dining room more closely, head straight into another hallway that looks as dark and sinister as the last, or perhaps check the wall to the right, which will show him a wooden door.]
no subject
So with that in mind, he's going to quietly go up to the wooden door and listen at it. Does he hear anything ominous, perhaps?]

Best to figure out just where this is for now.]

Given his background, he'll be able to feel it quite clearly: there is something evil lurking on the other side.
Shall he continue?]

He's already prepared to move quickly to dodge as necessary when he opens the door.]

-- And the light? It does not radiate friendliness. It might even be creepier than the basement. Whatever is on the other side stands to be worse than what she's left behind, but it's up to her if she wants to open that door or not.]
no subject
...
But she had no choice. She had to move forward. Something was waiting behind this light. Something she needed to see. Part of her knew this as a truth so profound that it briefly overrode her fear, allowing her to step into that light, through that door...-

iii let's get wrecked
[Howard's eyes flit back and forth. There are holes. Why are there holes? He clutches at his arms, shuddering. He...needs to get out. He really needs to get out.]
[His gaze alights on the stairs - he moves towards them to start to go up. Maybe there's an exit there...]
yeeeees let's go let's goooo
There's a door that twinkles in the distance, easy to see as whatever is on the other side is illuminating that room in light.
Though it doesn't seem to be a particularly friendly light -- in fact, if Howard has any sixth sense for this sort of thing, it will be screaming at him to reconsider his options.
... He also doesn't have many other options, so. Will he continue up?]
no subject
[That's light. That means it's a way out. His hand hovers above the doorknob though - his own paranoia, even without the help of dreams, is telling him that maybe this isn't a good idea. But he doesn't want to stay in this room, so...what to do, what to do?]
[Indecisive, he places his ear against the door. Can he hear anything?]

If Shuji has any sixth sense to guide him, then he might feel uneasy the closer he gets to the door -- like whatever is on the other side can't be good for him.
What will he do, then?]

It's disgusting.
Her eyes flicker around her; seeing the two doors and the flight of stairs. Does it really matter what she chooses? Going up the stairs will doubtfully actually get her out, and going through the obvious wooden door doesn't sound like a great idea, either. Of course, she's going to keep her caution and see what she can do, first.
Let's check that bolted door first and see how, exactly, it works. If she has to, she will absolutely make the attempt to destroy the door, depending on what it's made of. After all, locked doors are there for a reason, aren't they? ]
no subject
Otherwise, it sits silently at the girl's approach. Would she like to press her ear against the door, listen in? Locked doors are indeed locked for a reason.
Maybe this one is keeping something in it.]

When she reaches the door, she raps hard on it three times with the butt of the Zodiac spear and then pushes inside.]
Hello?
yea yea yea
-- That doesn't mean it's silent, however. Penelope is going to hear two voices: one clearly belonging to a female, the other a male. And the two are locked in an argument:]
"Are you planning to kill Sakura?"
[The boy's voice is shocked, but in contrast, the girl replies with cool regard.]
"What? You're telling me you didn't come here prepared for that? Killing her is for her own good now."
[The voices seem to be coming from a room far off to the right, probably a door that's set deep into the wall. Will Penelope wait to eavesdrop more, or try to find the source of the voices?]

That's all she'll get from a cursory glance. Does Elda decide to explore the dining room proper, or would she prefer to keep walking along the hall?]

I is the loneliest number
What the...? [He soon starts moving, in search of a source.]
[ooc: He's not exactly one for physical fighting, but I don't mind him potentially getting involved in one!]
no subject
However, there are foot prints instead. Leading into a grassy field, very pointedly away from the church.
Which means Byakuya has a choice: follow the footprints, or take a look inside the church.]
