WHERE: Sakura's dreamscapes
WHEN: August 19th
WHAT: Sakura could use some help escaping her dreamscapes, guys. Try not to get stuck in them.
WARNINGS: There's a lot, so gonna cover them underneath each prompt.
I. Church on the Hill
[When the dreamscape finally settles, a building will loom right in front of you – most likely a church, as the stone cross that sits at the very top is pretty conspicuous. However, given that the weather has suddenly shifted into a wet evening, rain clouds gathered ominously in the sky, the sight might not seem very godly.
The doors to the church appear shut. However, the silence is cut abruptly by the sound of broken… glass? Maybe a busted window?
Who knows. Have a look around: either through the church doors, or to hunt down the mystery of that noise. There might be plenty here to find.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature human parasites of the worm variety, emotional/physical trauma and abuse (mostly discussed, some shown), and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around, just lemme know what you prefer)]
II. Matou Mansion
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re inside a house.
... Or, at the very least, a very long hallway. It is the stuff made of nightmares because it’s dark, it’s cold, it creaks with unexplainable noises, and even if you turn around, there won't be a door.
Looks like the only way is forward for now. This should go fiiiine.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature the emotional/physical abuse of a child (discussed, not shown!), murder, discussion of human parasites, looooots of worms, and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around)]
III. All the World's Evil
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re in a large, expansive room – to call it a basement would not do it justice. It looks and feels like a crypt, instead, a place where the dead sleep, and the holes lining the walls won’t do anything to dissuade you from that thought. In fact, a whiff of the air comes back with the stink of decayed bodies, and though it might be faint, there seems to be… squirming noises.
No matter where you look, though, you won’t find anything living. The floors are bare. No bodies come crawling down the walls. It's as blank as a tomb. Instead, there are three potential ways to move forward. A wooden door to the left and a bolted door to the right – and then, a staircase that seems to lead up and up, to an unknown destination.
Try a door or try the stairs. Try something quick. Just because it seems empty doesn't mean someone isn't watching.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature discussion of trauma and abuse, murder, possession, suicide ideation, a girl who is obviously not in her right mind, and will absolutely involve some level of a physical or mental battle. 'Cause, y'know. Dark Sakura is not very nice.]

Shuji approaches. Slowly, but he comes closer as bidden.]
no subject
Hopefully.
-- As once he's within range, the tendrils that gestured for him to come closer are going to curl towards Shuji's eyes, as if to cover them. It's his choice if he wants to stay in place or try and book it out of the way.]
no subject
But - too many of his friends have powers and memories they're afraid of, even if they haven't hurt Shuji yet.
Shuji doesn't run. He closes his eyes and waits.]
no subject
-- Not to the point of agony. Nothing that would cause Shuji to flinch back in pain. But there's a surprising heat to them all the same, the warmth of a disease only barely kept in check.
But with his eyes closed and covered, Shuji will suddenly "see" Sakura standing before him, in the exact spot the creature had stood. She looks to him, quiet.
"... This is not the place for you."]
no subject
More importantly, there's Sakura. Speaking softly. This is not the place for him, and he'd like nothing better than to leave, but-]
Then come with me. We'll leave together.
[He holds his hand out, even if he's not sure she's really there to take it.]
no subject
"I cannot leave like I am."
A gesture to herself, head shaking again.
"I'm... fractured. Saving me would not save the other pieces."]
no subject
[Sakura, all of Sakura, all her faults, all her flaws, all her trauma - is his dear friend.]
How can I do that?
no subject
Such a simple request, but her expression is sad while she says it, and she lifts a finger to point behind her, where another door -- the steel door locked in place -- stands.
"All except my darkest side will know you're coming, though I can't guarantee they will help you. I'm sorry. All I can do is unlock the way for you."]
no subject
[It's time to try the steel door. Who's next, if it isn't this Sakura?]
no subject
The tendrils will be removed from his eyes. No more uncomfortable heat, lucky him, and thankfully nothing seems out of place when he blinks his eyes open.
The only difference is that there is now a tiny shadow that's riding on his shoulder, whereas the creature from before has vanished.
As for the steel door... nothing particularly interesting about it at first glance, besides the fact it is closed. Will Shuji try to listen for what's on the other side, or just get it open?]
no subject
Whatever's on the other side of the door, it doesn't change that Shuji has to go through to rescue Sakura, which is obviously non-negotiable. So he decides to just go ahead and open it.]
no subject
It doesn't open.
-- Or no, that's not quite correct. The door gives when Shuji attempts to pull, but it only gets as far as a crack before it pulls itself shut, as if someone on the other side is trying to bar him entry.]
no subject
So he knocks.]
It's Shuji, can I come in?
no subject
Hm. That's not very nice, is it? Though a couple things to note from Shuji's end.
The voice seems female. It also seems... very young, like a girl no older than six.
"I'm not allowed to let strangers in."]
no subject
But saying that won't decrease the number of creepy stranger vibes he's likely giving off, so he restrains himself.]
Okay. Can we just talk through the door?
