I. Church on the Hill
[When the dreamscape finally settles, a building will loom right in front of you – most likely a church, as the stone cross that sits at the very top is pretty conspicuous. However, given that the weather has suddenly shifted into a wet evening, rain clouds gathered ominously in the sky, the sight might not seem very godly.
The doors to the church appear shut. However, the silence is cut abruptly by the sound of broken… glass? Maybe a busted window?
Who knows. Have a look around: either through the church doors, or to hunt down the mystery of that noise. There might be plenty here to find.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature human parasites of the worm variety, emotional/physical trauma and abuse (mostly discussed, some shown), and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around, just lemme know what you prefer)]
II. Matou Mansion
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re inside a house.
... Or, at the very least, a very long hallway. It is the stuff made of nightmares because it’s dark, it’s cold, it creaks with unexplainable noises, and even if you turn around, there won't be a door.
Looks like the only way is forward for now. This should go fiiiine.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature the emotional/physical abuse of a child (discussed, not shown!), murder, discussion of human parasites, looooots of worms, and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around)]
III. All the World's Evil
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re in a large, expansive room – to call it a basement would not do it justice. It looks and feels like a crypt, instead, a place where the dead sleep, and the holes lining the walls won’t do anything to dissuade you from that thought. In fact, a whiff of the air comes back with the stink of decayed bodies, and though it might be faint, there seems to be… squirming noises.
No matter where you look, though, you won’t find anything living. The floors are bare. No bodies come crawling down the walls. It's as blank as a tomb. Instead, there are three potential ways to move forward. A wooden door to the left and a bolted door to the right – and then, a staircase that seems to lead up and up, to an unknown destination.
Try a door or try the stairs. Try something quick. Just because it seems empty doesn't mean someone isn't watching.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature discussion of trauma and abuse, murder, possession, suicide ideation, a girl who is obviously not in her right mind, and will absolutely involve some level of a physical or mental battle. 'Cause, y'know. Dark Sakura is not very nice.]

Kill them. Stop them. Protect the girl.
Only one of those voices is honest, and even still Penelope doubts it.
She does test the door, however, trying to widen the crack a little and slip through to get a better view.]

There is also a table in the middle of the room, obscured by the door until she decides to slip inside. Then she'll see it's less a table and more a stone slab, the top covered in what appears to be... parasitic worms.
Dead, thankfully. None of them move, even if she gets closer. But the stench might be enough to keep her away, sharp and decayed and smelling faintly of blood.
Otherwise this is simply a room, sparsely furnished with the usual trinkets of chairs and desks, but little else.
There is a window that appears to be shattered, however.
... There might also be a figure in the furthest corner of the room, obscured by shadow.]

The Espers inside SCREAM their fury at the dead creatures, though. Something about them sets the power hungry godlings off, and they are not pleased. That's all indistinct to Pen though, because her attention has diverted towards the figure in the corner.
Lowering her spear...]
Show yourself.

... Or perhaps he can't. The shadow cast over the figure (a tall, broad shouldered man, if you judge by his height and stature) seems unnaturally set given the well-lit room. It forever hides his face and half of his chest, though Penelope will pick out that he stands tall, arms folded behind him.
However, he will address the young woman, with a voice that is both clear and distorted. At no point will Penelope have trouble understanding him, but trying to trace his tone, the depth of his voice, his emotions while he speaks--
It all somehow gets lost in the room, almost like a spell has been cast.]
"Are you looking for Sakura Matou? She has already left, though given the complications of her operation, I do not think she will have made it far yet."
no subject
[Drawing herself up and staring right into the shadow's 'face' she sticks out her chin a little.]
What operation?
[The window seems to be the obvious way that she's gone.]
no subject
[The figure gestures to the window.]
"Her life should have ended tonight, but I prolonged it on a whim. Of course, should the worms in her nerves or heart start to move again, she will attack others to supplement the mana her body seeks."
no subject
[Record scratch. She has no idea what a crest worm is, but she can gather from context and the table that they're parasites. Oh. Fucking. Boy.
Her hand tightens on the spear...]
The fuck is wrong with you. [Well...]
Are you trying to make her into a murderer? Or were these worms killing her too?
no subject
[Even with the lack of intonation in his voice, the stranger does not seem to take any responsibility for his actions.]
"The worms would have killed her in time. Or perhaps her Grandfather. Or her sister. As I told you, she does not have long. What she decides to do with her borrowed time is up to her."
no subject
[And with that, she leaps out the window and starts looking for a trail.
Honestly, Sakura. Why are the people in your past self's life such asshats?]
