WHERE: Sakura's dreamscapes
WHEN: August 19th
WHAT: Sakura could use some help escaping her dreamscapes, guys. Try not to get stuck in them.
WARNINGS: There's a lot, so gonna cover them underneath each prompt.
I. Church on the Hill
[When the dreamscape finally settles, a building will loom right in front of you – most likely a church, as the stone cross that sits at the very top is pretty conspicuous. However, given that the weather has suddenly shifted into a wet evening, rain clouds gathered ominously in the sky, the sight might not seem very godly.
The doors to the church appear shut. However, the silence is cut abruptly by the sound of broken… glass? Maybe a busted window?
Who knows. Have a look around: either through the church doors, or to hunt down the mystery of that noise. There might be plenty here to find.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature human parasites of the worm variety, emotional/physical trauma and abuse (mostly discussed, some shown), and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around, just lemme know what you prefer)]
II. Matou Mansion
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re inside a house.
... Or, at the very least, a very long hallway. It is the stuff made of nightmares because it’s dark, it’s cold, it creaks with unexplainable noises, and even if you turn around, there won't be a door.
Looks like the only way is forward for now. This should go fiiiine.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature the emotional/physical abuse of a child (discussed, not shown!), murder, discussion of human parasites, looooots of worms, and might involve a physical fight (though that can be worked around)]
III. All the World's Evil
[When the dreamscape finally settles, you’re in a large, expansive room – to call it a basement would not do it justice. It looks and feels like a crypt, instead, a place where the dead sleep, and the holes lining the walls won’t do anything to dissuade you from that thought. In fact, a whiff of the air comes back with the stink of decayed bodies, and though it might be faint, there seems to be… squirming noises.
No matter where you look, though, you won’t find anything living. The floors are bare. No bodies come crawling down the walls. It's as blank as a tomb. Instead, there are three potential ways to move forward. A wooden door to the left and a bolted door to the right – and then, a staircase that seems to lead up and up, to an unknown destination.
Try a door or try the stairs. Try something quick. Just because it seems empty doesn't mean someone isn't watching.]
[ooc: this prompt will potentially feature discussion of trauma and abuse, murder, possession, suicide ideation, a girl who is obviously not in her right mind, and will absolutely involve some level of a physical or mental battle. 'Cause, y'know. Dark Sakura is not very nice.]
[ooc: and as a final note, if any/all of the prompts contain themes you'd rather not deal with, just drop me a pp at

[She sounds almost surprised by the admission, as if such a promise had been made outside her memories. Perhaps that's the truth of it -- the way Sakura looks at May is neither fond or aware. It's the gaze of a predator sizing up a mouse.
And apparently the tremble in May's shoulders has made an impression.
With a wide, easy smile, Sakura drops the other girl's hair, lets her face smack into the ground. Almost delicately she turns to face May, arms folded, humming in amusement]
Well then -- you're here! Congratulations. I hope you're not disappointed. It must have taken a while for you to get here, mm?
[The tendrils that make up her "dress" squirm with her chuckle of laughter]
So then, tell me. What do you plan to do? Oh -- though I have a few suggestions! Poor Nee-san was going to be all alone when I stripped her soul and gave her a taste of the training I went through.
[Smiling wider and wider, shoulders trembling with anticipation]
But now she's going to have a friend! You'll volunteer, won't you?

She swung up the anchor to rest on her shoulders, narrowing her gaze.-
I ain't gonna go down like a chump. But more importantly, as much as I know you wanna hurt others, to make people feel like you did, when no one else seemed to care, I also know that ain't you. This isn't you. Or...
Well. Actually it is. But we all have that inside of us. Something that wants to lash out and show others just how bad we got it.
-Talking through it all... seemed to seep some of that fear and apprehension away as May stepped forward, the grip on the anchor tightening.-
And even if you don't know it, I've understood from the beginning. I got every right to want to burn it all down right alongside you. Life's been cruel, it's been painful, and...
-She swung out the anchor, pointing it directly at Sakura.-
That's why I can't let this go any further. Because even if this is you, it's also not. Sakura almost killed herself because of you. I ain't so good with words, but I do know that if I just let this happen, it'd all be for nothin'... So no matter how angry the cruelty of this world makes me, the fact that everything she went through would be meaningless is a hell of a lot more cruel.
So take your best shot, bitch. I ain't about to be brought down by someone like you!

That is one way to wipe the smirk off of Sakura's face. She'd expected groveling and apologies, not judgment cast upon her, and everything from her smile to her shoulders freeze in place, stiff and brittle before it crumbles into a rage that makes the cave itself begin to shake.]
You--!
[A low-hummed howling erupts as shadows -- two of them -- rise from the ground. They grow to the size of buildings, hovering nearby the mistress's side as she slowly gathers herself, sneer morphing into manic laughter once more.]
Oh, I see... You're just making excuses! Is that why you're trying to act tough now? Let me guess -- it's because you feel guilty, hm? That I ran away without telling you? That the only reason I came back was because John-san found me in the woods?
That's why I came back. It wasn't because of friendship, or love, or you. Just poor luck.
[There are tears of malice in her eyes, down her face in a river's stream, until she rubs them away with another sneer]
How I pity you... You finally meet the real me and all you can say is this can't be right. "It's just a piece of Sakura! There's more to her than this!"
[Her head tilts at a sharp angle, almost unnatural, and the giant shadows make a slow advance toward May. If she doesn't start moving, they will soon try to engulf her.]
Fine then, I'll show you who I really am deep down. No matter how you scream, I won't help you at all. So get out of my sight.
Die already--!

I'm still not going to let everything she did be a waste! You're about to see just how far I'll go for her sake!
-May planted her feet into the hook of the anchor as gravity took hold once more and brought her down, aiming her descent for Sakura.-

-- But Sakura can move, quickly if need be. Maybe not enough to clear the impact tremors, but she darts away from the weapon as it explodes into the ground, kicking up dust and debris in a shower of rocks.
It's from that dust cloud that the black tendrils of Sakura's "dress" erupt and spread outward, snaking through the air as they aim to wrap around May's arms and legs if she's not careful.]
