[ Souji has received this letter last night and he just couldn't stop looking over it. Is this real? Or is it just someone's idea of a practical joke? It's too elaborate to be a joke and who would even pull something like that? He's not too sure, which is why he's sent out that network post, asking for people to gather to share about their info about this mysterious company. It's better to do this in person so they don't have to worry about Retrospec reading their stuff. He just hopes that someone will come by, so he stands by the fountain, the letter tucked away safely in his pocket. When someone does approach and make his way over to the fountain, he just raises a hand in a short wave. ]

[ dave, shades firmly in place because that is still a Thing, lifts a hand and waves back. ]

[ is the weather even worthy of shades, probably not. BUT THIS IS HIS LIFE NOW. ]

[She paused as she approached. Since last they had spoken, her hair had been dyed purple and she was wrapped in a heavy green cloak like something out of a Renaissance Festival. Looking him over, she sighed and drew near with a small smile concealed by the high collar of her outfit.]

This is not another of your pranks, I hope? You do seem to enjoy getting a rise out of people, so it seems fitting to be sure.

[It's none other than Ardyn who appears, and he can't help but tilt the brim of his hat in Souji's direction as he approaches the fountain, a bit playfully.]

Ever drawn to the prospect of a brewing mystery. I'm quite predictable.

[Also, he's a bit obligated, being family. Why was Souji the one to receive this "something"? He'd be remiss not to follow up on it. And so, before anything else:]

[ Souji has arrived at the cafe a little earlier than the time that they've agreed at, to grab himself and Sauveterre a table just outside the cafe and to also grab themselves both a cup of coffee. He's figured that since he's the one calling for people to come out and share info then he should at least buy them a drink. ]

[ But he'll just wait here until the professor shows up to discuss about whatever they know about the company and app. ]

[Well. Anya's change is obvious even as she walks up. She's centered her hood on the top of her head, enough to hide her new silver hair from anyone casually looking over, but if you look at her straight on it's definitely different from the light blonde it used to be.

The smile she gives him is shy, not quite as bright and peppy as it used to be. Her regains have tempered her personality some, it seems.]

[Once Dante's finished arguing semantics over what to call the weird quasi-memories/hallucinations they've all been having, he's going to come over Souji's way.]

[To be honest, there was a time when she wouldn't have cared, specifically the time frame between the chocobos turning up and the secrets being aired publicly thing. But after that? She wants answers. She went all the way out to their HQ and had nothing to show for it, so if this is a lead, she'll take it.

She's also sporting some newfound red eyes.

I wouldn't miss it. I'm starting to get tired of all this weird stuff going on.

[About what all this is, and what all this means. He's still just on the edges, only really having remembered... horses and having experienced little else of the strange oddities the others have already gone through. But the more he sees of their posts, the more interested he gets in the cause of it all.]

[By this time she's had some time to get over the whole unpleasant affair with her secret getting spilled for all to see and hear. Sure, some people'd heard it, but hardly all. It helped that there were enough secrets floating around for it to get lost in the noise.]

Togusa had mentioned that he felt he owed the twins a debt, thanks to the- very positive outcome of their Valentine's setup. And if there is anything to be discussed about Retrospec, Togusa can at least come here in an unofficial capacity. He's still working on his superiors. But if any of the police show up, it's at least going to be him.

"Souji." He raises a hand in return. "I asked if there was any way I could repay you, so here I am. What's going on?"

[ Émilie didn't think she had much in the way of useful information so far, but still... she shows up to the meeting as impeccably dressed as ever. Not the best thing to wear to secret meetings. ]

[ So. Honoka gets the feeling this is going to be a day for talking about Weird, Uncomfortable Stuff. All this Retrospec biz is the sort of thing she shoves to the back of her mind and tries not to think about but with all the weird stuff happening lately? She feels like she doesn't have a choice.

When Honoka shows up it's with a gigantic strawberry cream frappe, the straw jammed right into her mouth and her cheeks working as she gnaws on it. It's a textbook Unhappy Honoka Face as if her mood weren't made clear enough by the way she all but flops against his shoulder like she's about to die. ]

Uuuugghhhh, I hate all this weird stuff and talking about it but I hate not knowing what's going on even more. All of it sucks.

[ dave will show up for a portion of the afternoon to sit on the edge of the fountain and share anything whatever he has that he feels like sharing. for the most part this involves tipping his shades down very slightly to give a small view of his anime-red eyes before he shoves them back into place. because yes, he now wears those shades 24/7. ]

So, I'm still team "hallucinomemories" and not just 'cause my Bro thought it up.

[Anya's probably sitting by Dave at this point, swinging her legs as she sits on the fountain side and has her hood up halfway - enough to obscure her new silver hair from casual observers but anyone facing her head on can probably notice the glints of unnatural hair color.

She's keeping to herself for the most part of this meeting when dealing with people she doesn't know so well, which is already odd enough, but well - she'll talk to Dave easily at least.]

[Kashuu actually completely blabbed regarding Dave's eyes when she'd asked, so she already knows about his them despite not seeing them yet...it's why she approaches him the moment she sees him from afar.

It's not like talking to him will solve anything, but since they've both got them now...]

[ She's keeping to herself and fluttering about to look for information and people she knows. With Dave, she's most definitely fooling around. Like, 80%. The other twenty has her locked in on a glimpse of his anime eyes. From the (expensive) shades she's donning, he can probably guess why. ]

[ it goes out a bit slurred because she has to say it around the Fancy Starbucks Straw she's somehow gnawing and drinking from at the same time in a way that makes her look incredibly salty. ]

[ Large gatherings of people = unarguably and infinitely uncomfortable to Ritsu most of the time, but he had questions, and if there were going to be answers here, then he'd have to go and say his piece--but mostly to listen. He really didn't know much right now. ]

I don't have anything on Retrospec, but I got a strange recollection of something I'm pretty sure didn't happen. I was in a really dangerous situation, and I couldn't get away when I was grabbed from the back, but I can't remember the face of that adult when I turned to look at them.

... I think I would remember if it really did happen. I got "reminded" of it with a recent incident with some local bullies, but it both feels real and doesn't. Has anyone here experienced something similar?

[ Crowds aren't Yuuko's thing either, but the promise of information tempts the mystery aficionado out of the woodwork. Of course, even though she can't stay in crowds for long, she loves the attention. With a flip of her hair, she speaks up. ]

Like everyone else in the anime red eyes club, she's wearing shades now. So that's A Thing. ]

It feels like a memory, but it doesn't. A flashback of something that's never happened before. Or maybe, a vision of the future? Given the gaps in our hallucinations, we can't say for sure.
