[ Large gatherings of people = unarguably and infinitely uncomfortable to Ritsu most of the time, but he had questions, and if there were going to be answers here, then he'd have to go and say his piece--but mostly to listen. He really didn't know much right now. ]

I don't have anything on Retrospec, but I got a strange recollection of something I'm pretty sure didn't happen. I was in a really dangerous situation, and I couldn't get away when I was grabbed from the back, but I can't remember the face of that adult when I turned to look at them.

... I think I would remember if it really did happen. I got "reminded" of it with a recent incident with some local bullies, but it both feels real and doesn't. Has anyone here experienced something similar?

[ Crowds aren't Yuuko's thing either, but the promise of information tempts the mystery aficionado out of the woodwork. Of course, even though she can't stay in crowds for long, she loves the attention. With a flip of her hair, she speaks up. ]

It feels like a memory, but it doesn't. A flashback of something that's never happened before. Or maybe, a vision of the future? Given the gaps in our hallucinations, we can't say for sure.

It's only been a week, and I've gone from thinking people must be mistaken about their accounts and just need to watch their health, but now I've experienced it too. That was wrong of me, to judge.

It's difficult to predict what might happen next, especially after the whole chocobo switcheroo. No, I think it started before that.

Before the Chocobos? In which way? Or is it more things that... "most people" don't notice?

[ It vaguely feels like they're in a giant dollhouse and being quite literally toyed around with, Ritsu didn't like it. ]

Mm, I think it started... when we got this app. "Retrospec". You have it too, right? Only people who have the app remember horses being a thing. You must have it. It installed itself on our phones all of a sudden... There's no way to delete it either.

Oh, yes just as of the start of the month. My... late recollection on horses ended up being a little embarrassing as well. [ no one must know of "IT'S CODE FOR A SECRET ORGANIZATION RIGHT" ]

I've also been told about its building being empty, so this event... their involvement might lead us somewhere.

I think so, too. Actually... I've been in that building. You're right, it was empty. But everything was also locked, and the only way up was an elevator that wouldn't open.

[ Did she mention she was trapped?? She was trapped. But she doesn't need to scare him. It's not like she died... ]

Things might be different now, though. As far as I know, nothing is certain at the moment but one thing: the company's sudden appearance and the hallucinations we've been getting can't be a coincidence.

I have to agree. The unease that they somehow know so much about us--and how they plant these things into our brains, I hope we get answers sooner than later.

Oh, you know, the bad-tempered sort who think they're better than focusing on school and about pondering their less-than-ideal projected future. The encounter I mentioned wasn't even about me, it was lifting some other kid's instrument out of his reach. ... That was when I remembered, after the chase was done.

Bullies are terrible. I can't stand by when I see it happening.

Come to think of it, something like that's been happening to me, too. But every time I bring this stuff up, people act like I'm crazy.

I mean, it's like... they didn't exist, and suddenly they did, right? Sometimes people say they get lapses of a song briefly stuck in their head even if they hated it, but it's not the same, since that requires you to have actually heard it before.

But this thing most definitely... never happened. So it latches onto a similar but not exact experience.

[ Ritsu was starting to put two and two together, in regards to that garbled mess of a Retrospec welcoming message he received at the beginning of the month. ] Is it okay to ask what you "remembered" in yours?

Mostly just normal, everyday stuff. You know, training and dealing with challenge letters. Walking home in the rain.

Except for that one thing with Bigfoot.

Well, what does that matter? The point is, everything else was pretty normal.

So what makes you doubt the normal stuff, if they're already everyday to you as you say? I'll hear you out and not judge.

The only thing that was odd about them is that I'm remembering more things than usual. But that could be due to the changing of the seasons.

Oh... Yeah, I ended up assuming someone was simply lacking sleep before I got a recollection of my own. That was my bad.

Spring is a time for beginnings after all, out with the old and in with the new. But it's not bad to wish things were just... normal, right?

Well, normally yes. But I absolutely loathe some of the other things that have been happening lately.

I had to fill out a Mad Lib just to try and talk to someone at that stupid Retrograde company, and no one was even inside! Infuriating.

Ahh, given what we've seen so far I'd be impressed if they managed to get that much faith from any investors.

I'm inclined to thinking "spoiled rich people with too much free time" at the moment, myself.
