TEAM TARZAN LOG
READY: START Team Tarzan roster: Anastasia, Ikuo Ryuuzaki, Jack Kelly, Kasen Ibaraki, Keigo Asano, Kurogane, Kurt Wagner, Silver, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yaeger, Yosuke Hanamura, Yugi Mutou. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the monkeys howling... This is the Team Tarzan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!
The schedule for Team Tarzan is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 1 Part TwoObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |
ROOM THREE
Of course, the main thing that stands out is that tile puzzle.]
Oh man! It's like some kinda ancient puzzle... Radical!
[He hopes it's not cursed.]
no subject
Eeeh...? It's huge!
[ and then, most importantly: ]
...did you just say 'radical?'
no subject
You heard right, homeboy! How else would you describe this?
no subject
I dunno... "Amazing," or ... "incredible," I guess?
[ "radical" means something else entirely to keigo, whoops. ]
no subject
Kurt pauses for a moment and then concedes with a shrug.]
...Okay, those would work, too. But rad is still rad!
[He reaches out towards the puzzle, though his hand lingers a few inches away.]
Think it's safe to touch?
no subject
Don't these kinda things have like... little holes 'r somethin' for poison darts to shoot out of?
[ HMM. ]
'cause I don't see any.
no subject
And I don't see any. So... maybe it is safe...?
no subject
I mean, it can't be any more dangerous than anything else I've seen around these parts, so I guess we might as well try it.
[ the problem was... who. ]
You wanna try it first?
no subject
Alright. Here goes nothing!
[He nervously gulps, reaches out and... touches the tile! He manages to do that much without dying, so he slides it to the side experimentally.]
Dude, it's legit!
no subject
...but it seemed to be okay! ]
Thank God... I didn't wanna have to scrape you off of the walls or somethin'.
[ what a lovely mental image! ]
But hm... look at it. There's like, lines on the tiles. Maybe it makes a picture?
no subject
[He grins at Keigo's description.]
Yeah, that's gotta be it! I think I've seen puzzles like this before. Just not on cave walls!
[He experiments with sliding some tiles to and fro, trying to get a sense of what the picture's supposed to be.]
no subject
Here, move that one, I think...
[ ...maybe??? these types of things weren't that difficult to figure out once you started connected the lines together. hopefully. ]
no subject
[Kurt nods as he follows Keigo's advice. Things are easier to see now that the torch is in a set place and he scans what he has so far. At least one corner's starting to look like an image.]
It's starting to come together... We can do this!
no subject
Yeah, but what do you think it's supposed to be?
[ he shifted another piece, and another... was that a wing? or a leg? ]
Is it a bug??
no subject
Dude, that's gotta be it! Like that funky beetle back by the altar... We must be on the right track!
[With the image of the beetle in mind, Kurt shifts the pieces around some more, now with some excitement!]
no subject
[ well, if anything, kurt certainly validated keigo's contributions! he grinned widely, quite pleased with himself as he helped move some tiles around. hopefully he wouldn't mess up kurt in the process! ]
no subject
[At least in terms of thoughts... but as Keigo makes his movements, it does end up mixing up some of the pieces he was working on.]
Hey, easy there man! You're throwing off my groove.
no subject
A-ah, sorry! [ and he jerked his hands back away from the tiles, looking rather apologetic. ]
no subject
[He's quick to calm down.]
We just have to be careful... We gotta put this whole puzzle together without messing any sides up! We got this.
no subject
[ though if they both got stuck, then what... ]
no subject
no subject
[ and keigo will take the spot of being a loyal spectator, supporting kurt with his Good Vibes.
or something. ]
no subject
[And so Kurt gets to work, shifting things around to fix things up without messing up what Keigo had accomplished. That's another chunk of the puzzle down!
Then, he steps back and holds up a hand to tag Keigo back in.]
Alright, you're up!
no subject
Okay, let's see...
[ with what kurt had already accomplished, it wasn't too difficult to move some of the remaining pieces around to form another side to it. it was the middle pieces that gave him issue. ]
...Aah... Where should this one go? Left or right?
no subject
But they're slowly closing in on the solution!
Kurt steps forward as Keigo questions, and rubs his chin thoughtfully.]
Um... right, I think?
