READY: START Team Tarzan roster: Anastasia, Ikuo Ryuuzaki, Jack Kelly, Kasen Ibaraki, Keigo Asano, Kurogane, Kurt Wagner, Silver, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yaeger, Yosuke Hanamura, Yugi Mutou. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the monkeys howling... This is the Team Tarzan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! [ perhaps stupidly, keigo stopped and turned around, shining the torch down the way they'd come from. it was... really dark, now, and for as long and twisting as the route was, it was almost like they're entered some other dimension...
but enough dramatics. maybe. something was coming. something large. ]
...M...maybe we should uh. Pick up the pace?

[With that, he starts to move into a run! And he'll try to keep pace with Keigo.]

...okay no. it was a boulder.
a huge-ass rock, in keigo's mind, as it seemed that as soon as the two of them started to run, it decided to make its appearance far behind them... but that distance would be shortened eventually. ]

[He catches a quick glimpse of it and keeps on running! He dashes over towards one door, opens it and tries to run right through it!]

[ keigo panted, quickly darting after kurt once he found that glorious, beautiful, magnificent door.
...it was just a normal door, but keigo could have kissed it for how relieved he was to see it. ]

It's a door alright! And as Kurt runs through it... they end up in a corridor that's either the same or very similar. It's harder to tell with all of the darkness.]

[There's not much time to think, because the boulder suddenly barrels through another door! Quickly, Kurt looks around and points - in the dark, he can kinda make out what looks like another door?]
Over there! [He runs towards it like his life depends on it, because it does!]

[ off he went?! would this door lead to safety or yet another roundabout path? either way, keigo slammed into the door with the force of... however much he weighed. and!! ]

[ but they didn't have time!! onward?! ]

[Probably! He thinks. And so through the next door! And... into another similar-seeming room?! And the boulder once more barrels into the hallway.]

[Instead of going for another door, Kurt opts to sprint down the corridor as fast as he can.]

[ either way, he sped down the hall alongside kurt, throwing a look over his shoulder to see how much closer to death they were. ]

[It does look like there's something up ahead though. They're getting oh so closer! It looks like... there's an altar of some sort up ahead?
Except that as he rushes towards it, eventually his foot steps into air, as opposed to solid ground. He's about to fall!
But, he reaches up for Keigo in that moment, ready to quickly teleport them onto the platform with a 'bamf!' and a puff of smoke.]

...they were safely across?? what just happened?? ]

[ cue keigo looking around frantically, trying to make sense of the last... five seconds. ]

Right... Did I forget to mention I can teleport? [He says jokingly. He's been trying to keep it on the down low when he can, but there's no avoiding it in a crisis.]

well, that was a thing. keigo stared at kurt rather blankly for another five seconds before sighing deeply, as if he lacked the energy to react more appropriately. ]
...Yeah, you did. Normally, I'd be yellin' about somethin' like that, but given the crap we've seen... [ he could give a little leeway. ]
Anyway, I'll yell about it later. For now, let's just see what we're workin'—
[ oh right. the boulder. it was late to the party, its descent rumbling throughout the room until it just... dropped into the hole. nice. ]

[With that settled, he'll soon turn his attention to checking out dat altar. It looks like there's something there...]

[ as keigo approached, it became clear: a small jeweled piece! looked very expensive. ]
I guess this is it. Uh. Hopefully touching this isn't gonna kill us.
[ so he did just that: touched it... then picked it up. so far... nothing? ]

[Although soon enough, the torches in the chamber light up, and some paintings of an Egyptian god become visible.
Kurt takes a moment to glance around.]
Whoa... swanky. Yeah man, I think we did it! We are the champions!

[ he paused, pocketing the piece, and then turned to face kurt more directly. ]
