A hero takes your hand
WHO: Sakura Kinomoto, OPEN
WHERE: The Confectionary Bakery, Mall, Library
WHEN: 20th September
WHAT: Sakura out at work or out and about shopping or working on homework at the library.
WARNINGS: None off of the top of my head.
Confectionary:
[Sakura looks up when the door opens, her hair shifting a little with the movement of her head as she smiles and welcomes the new arrival. She's at least sort of used to the uniform by now, and dressing up in general thanks to her best friend taking sewing classes and wanting a model of sorts to make sure her outfits fit and looks alright when worn. She stands at the counter, which is luckily low enough for her not to have trouble with, smiling with a wave before gesturing to the displays of cupcakes.]
Hello! Which flavor would you like today?
[Or, perhaps, if she sees the customer here often enough, she'll ask if they want their usual order. If she has noticed they seem to have a particular favourite.]
Mall:
At least I'm ready school wise. So there's just the groceries to get for tonight and anything for tomorrow. But I guess while I'm here I should look for a new jacket.....
[It's quiet. More some habit of talking to herself to not forget her errands or such. But that doesn't mean others might not overhear her while she is there to primarily figure some groceries, but also perhaps a couple of other things too. Sakura can be found around the aisles of the supermarket or perhaps in the clothing stores, eyeing a new top or coat or skirt, perhaps.]
Library:
[Sakura usually figures it easier to study if she stays at the library and isn't distracted by the cleaning or cooking until she's actually done her homework, if she comes by after school once she finishes classes. She might be sitting down with her textbooks and laptop trying to get through some of said homework this afternoon. She might be chewing at her pen or pencil, or perhaps someone notices her frowning and pouting at her notes or textbook as she tries to figure something out. She might just be distracted still wondering what her recent memory means. The contract.....that...er, talking stuffed toy? How can she be expected to keep up with school with weird things like that? If more of this might happen? She puts her head down at her arms, groaning into the fabric of the sleeves of her shirt.
Or maybe she is instead found a little after, having finished and then taken to wandering the shelves of books for something non school related to read in the evenings.]

library
He misses middle school, and middle school level work, and would much rather go back to that, so... ]
Hey. [ a whisper, because they're in the library, but he's sitting near enough to her on the same long table to be audible. ] Something you're not understanding? I could try to explain it for you.
no subject
Hm? Ah, I'm okay....the maths I can just ask Prompto-san on, I guess.
[It's how he already knew her once she'd shown up on that app. Which hasn't caused her too many problems yet but. That doesn't mean it hasn't put others in trouble. Wouldn't cause even more for her with more memories coming up somehow or other.]
no subject
How about a break? Stretching for our bodies, and fresh air for our brains... we can both do our best after we're revitalized.
no subject
[At least, as far as the homework goes. Even if that wouldn't necessarily help any with her confusion and worry over regaining more memories like that. It might help her feel more up to tackling it at least, more optimistic about the challenge and ready to get through the rest of her homework. So she gives a nod of agreement.
Then staring, unsure if they might be a bit, if she might need to pack her things away to take with her or not.]

confectionary
[ there are too many choices here, and kyouko seems uncertain of which to get. ]
However, I'd also like to buy two others...do you have flavor recommendations?
no subject
[It's true though. There are a lot of options to choose from. So Sakura can understand sometimes it might take someone a bit to decide on what they want. She doesn't rush them though, simply waiting for when they were ready to order and choose what they'd like to have. Sakura points to the cupcakes in question, so the other can see which ones she is referring to in the lines of cupcakes on offer.]

[ so, she's just picking up cupcakes for friends... ]
Actually, two blackberry, one apple pie, and one vanilla, please.

Do you have anything sea salt? If not, then some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes are fine. A dozen would work.
[He can always share them with his family here. They might like that.]
no subject
[She's getting better at learning the menu by now. And recognizing the more regular customers at least. Still, she figures he's probably sharing these if he is ordering so many at once. Cupcakes, as delicious as they were, didn't usually tend to last for too long.]
no subject
Hmmm... Do you have filled cupcakes? Like, with fruit for the vanilla and cream for the chocolate? If not, plain ones will work.
[Can't go wrong with fruit filled, right?]

confectionary;
At first, she thinks no employees are in the front of the store, but she hears a little voice and sees a hand and-- ]
Oh. My. Goodness. You are precious.
[ She slaps her hands to her cheeks and looks down at Sakura. She is so tiny and adorable and in a tiny and adorable uniform and she has completely forgotten why she came here and what Sakura just asked her. ]
no subject
[Sakura can't help the flush at her cheeks, even as she gestures to the display of cupcakes on offer, rather than drawing attention to herself. Though, the owner letting her help out like this probably didn't hurt sales. Even if she wasn't wearing that particular uniform as well.]

Hmm. Well, which ones are your favorite?

Confectionary
And yet make no mistake - she's visited the confectionary enough times to be a familiar face, with just enough coins to snatch one of the smaller cupcakes. Chocolate usually, though she is known to throw caution to the wind and try some of the more creative flavors.]
Mmm what should I get today...
[It's a rhetorical question, though Sakura smiles at the other Sakura all the same, giving her a little nod]
Do you guys have any new flavors this week?
no subject
[She's quite used to people asking for recommendations, and has her own personal favourites but a question like that seems easier and less subjective, perhaps. Sakura points out the mango and peach cupcakes for her, before pausing in letting her choose what one she might prefer.]
no subject
[Refreshing and fruity. Hmmm. Sakura bends closer to survey the flavor, taking in the color with a critical eye, until a smile overtakes her face and she gives a cheerful nod]
Okay, I'll take one of those.

[Sakura might initially seem a little confused if she does notice the thought bubble, but well. He isn't wrong. She isn't the tallest in her class, and she is still obviously growing, at only thirteen years of age yet. So she just tries to focus on serving him, on helping him find what he needs. Or -- well, wants, more like, with a store like this, but still.]

Mall!
He was making his way to the men's section when he saw the girl, and had to smirk at hearing her running commentary to herself.
"You make a habit of saying your plans out loud?"
For some reason, he was curious. Probably because she was just really cute, but he could also feel some flashes of familiarity that he didn't think could all be chalked up to chance.
no subject
"U-um, sorry. I just know I'll forget something if I don't remind myself otherwise. I didn't mean to bother you with it."
She shakes her head, giving a sheepish look at Kurogane, raising her free hand to rub at the back of her head.
no subject
But he had no real idea how to talk to kids, so that was a thing. He mirrored her and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"What kinda jacket do you want? I need one too, mine's falling apart."

confectionary;
Hi, Sakura-chan! Has it been busy today?
no subject
[It's been a manageable sort of busy. Which really, is what she wanted and partly why she came here to work, knowing it was more specialized than a general bakery. But more than that, of course, was her having an in with knowing the owner. Sakura gives a smile in return and gives a small wave at the familiar face when Minako walks in.]

[Minako slips behind the counter and sets the delivery truck keys back on their rightful hook.]
She hasn't been working you too hard, has she?
