A hero takes your hand
WHO: Sakura Kinomoto, OPEN
WHERE: The Confectionary Bakery, Mall, Library
WHEN: 20th September
WHAT: Sakura out at work or out and about shopping or working on homework at the library.
WARNINGS: None off of the top of my head.
Confectionary:
[Sakura looks up when the door opens, her hair shifting a little with the movement of her head as she smiles and welcomes the new arrival. She's at least sort of used to the uniform by now, and dressing up in general thanks to her best friend taking sewing classes and wanting a model of sorts to make sure her outfits fit and looks alright when worn. She stands at the counter, which is luckily low enough for her not to have trouble with, smiling with a wave before gesturing to the displays of cupcakes.]
Hello! Which flavor would you like today?
[Or, perhaps, if she sees the customer here often enough, she'll ask if they want their usual order. If she has noticed they seem to have a particular favourite.]
Mall:
At least I'm ready school wise. So there's just the groceries to get for tonight and anything for tomorrow. But I guess while I'm here I should look for a new jacket.....
[It's quiet. More some habit of talking to herself to not forget her errands or such. But that doesn't mean others might not overhear her while she is there to primarily figure some groceries, but also perhaps a couple of other things too. Sakura can be found around the aisles of the supermarket or perhaps in the clothing stores, eyeing a new top or coat or skirt, perhaps.]
Library:
[Sakura usually figures it easier to study if she stays at the library and isn't distracted by the cleaning or cooking until she's actually done her homework, if she comes by after school once she finishes classes. She might be sitting down with her textbooks and laptop trying to get through some of said homework this afternoon. She might be chewing at her pen or pencil, or perhaps someone notices her frowning and pouting at her notes or textbook as she tries to figure something out. She might just be distracted still wondering what her recent memory means. The contract.....that...er, talking stuffed toy? How can she be expected to keep up with school with weird things like that? If more of this might happen? She puts her head down at her arms, groaning into the fabric of the sleeves of her shirt.
Or maybe she is instead found a little after, having finished and then taken to wandering the shelves of books for something non school related to read in the evenings.]

confectionary
[ there are too many choices here, and kyouko seems uncertain of which to get. ]
However, I'd also like to buy two others...do you have flavor recommendations?

[It's true though. There are a lot of options to choose from. So Sakura can understand sometimes it might take someone a bit to decide on what they want. She doesn't rush them though, simply waiting for when they were ready to order and choose what they'd like to have. Sakura points to the cupcakes in question, so the other can see which ones she is referring to in the lines of cupcakes on offer.]

[ so, she's just picking up cupcakes for friends... ]
Actually, two blackberry, one apple pie, and one vanilla, please.

[Sakura reaches with the tongs to get out the requested cupcakes, counting them and grabbing to for the blackberry cupcakes before passing them over in a little container to carry them in. She gives the price, letting the other choose how to pay for them. It is nice of her though, to get some for her friends. Sakura tries every now and then but she doesn't like to think she is taking advantage of her job like that.]

[Sakura doesn't have any family here. Not in the way of cousins or grandparents or anything. She just has her brother. Everyone else, her grandfather and cousin, they were back over at Japan still. But she thinks this is a nice idea, sweet, and thoughtful of Kyouko to do.]
If it's a gift, shall I give you a little container then? Since there's a few of them. That'll make it easier for you to carry.

[She introduces herself as she retrieves a container, placing Kyouko's order in there and passing it to her with a smile. She's been here a while, but obviously she's more familiar with the younger school kids around her age, and perhaps a few older students through university with her brother. There's still some she is just meeting now, it seems, even still after being here for years.]

Have you moved here recently...?

[Probably not surprising all the same. Given her most formative years were spent in Japan, and her family is still from there, keeping some aspects of the culture at least, using the language with her.]

[Sakura looks sheepish at that, but gives a shrug, evidently really not minding which way Kyouko might prefer to go with. She's used to the honorifics at home, but also used to not hearing them at school and all, with her American friends.]

[Probably, in some ways that made things easier for Sakura to adjust, in comparison to Kyouko or her father or older brother. Being younger in making it easier to adapt to the changes in living here in comparison to Japan. And perhaps with her being so young, she herself didn't realize, even, how quickly she adjusted to things here.]

[She turns when a customer enters and approaches the counter to order, giving a flustered wave to the other in farewell before asking what the new customer would like to get.]
