TEAM SNOW WHITE

READY: START Team Snow White roster: Davey Jacobs, Eleanor Lamb, Fang, Kasen Kanesada, Malik Ishtar, Mari Ohara, Riku, Ritsu Kageyama, Ryoji Mochizuki, Toushiro Hitsugaya, Yuri Plisetsky. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of many bat wings... This is the Team Snow White Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. [Freya hums a noise, somewhere between amused and acknowledging.]

Worried?

[She herself could sleep for what felt like days, but Freya's been fighting off a lot of things. Her ribs still ached with every moment, courtesy of that yeti.]

Aren't you? We still don't know where we are or how we got here. Or how we get back.

[The wires slipped into place as she spoke, and her voice grew a little quieter.]

If we get back.

[belligerentwarrior]

We'll get back. [Freya responds in a confidant, brooks-no-argument tone. She has to get back. She will get back. Her family's in that monster ridden city; so was everyone else she cared about.]

We've held it together so far. And I'm not just talkin' about the mine; think about everything Retrospec's thrown at us. We're gonna find our way back, and take everyone with us.

Well you make it rather hard to argue.

[Eleanor said this with a small laugh, which was better than the dark tones in her voice a moment earlier, though they weren't gone either.]

I hope you're right. We just haven't had much luck stopping anything else retrospec has done.

Though I'll admit this feels more like a game than anything else has. And if it is, we can win it.

[belligerentwarrior]

[Freya snorts quietly.] Sure, we haven't prevented a damn thing, but we've survived it. We'll pull through this, raise a little hell on the way, and see everyone again.

After those caves, with next-to-no-food and an abominable snowman? We'll coast through this. [She half-heartedly waves a hand in the direction of the river outside the storage shack.]

You're awfully optimistic. Spend a lot of time trapped in swamps?

[Teasing, it seemed, was easier than really dwelling on the situation. But she was grateful for what Freya was saying. It was nice to hear a little optimism.]

[That gives Freya a little bit of pause, tilting her back to stare at nothing in particular about the ceiling. She makes a thoughtful little noise.]

Don't think optimism is the right word. I guess it's more... determination. Like I won't accept anything less than seein' everyone again.

[Eleanor was quiet at that. She could understand it, really, because no matter how frustrated she got, she knew she wasn't going to give up. She'd always been pretty terrible at giving up, really. Still.]

I suppose we're lucky you're here, then.

[belligerentwarrior]

[That catches her a little off-guard.] Hah. Wait until we know where we are before you go sayin' that.

[Eleanor shrugs, but only a little bit so as not to make Freya move.]

Could it really be any stranger than that mine? Or this swamp?

[belligerentwarrior]

Guess it depends if we're still in the country or not. Definitely not in the city.

[notyourutopian]

Yeah...we're far away from any cell phone towers, at least.

[There's a click, and Eleanor shifts a bit, smiling to herself, as the mining helmet flutters to life. She turns it off and on a few times, then offers it over her shoulder to Freya.]

Here.

[belligerentwarrior]

[Freya turns her head a bit to see, and smiles.]

Hah, look at that. Thanks. Hands-free light makes a difference.

Yeah. You can keep that one.

[Eleanor hadn't brought the rest with her, so she just settled in to sit there for now, enjoying the warmth of the room.]

Assuming I don't break anything, I think I have enough parts to fix four more of them.
