TEAM SNOW WHITE LOG
READY: START Team Snow White roster: Davey Jacobs, Eleanor Lamb, Fang, Kasen Kanesada, Malik Ishtar, Mari Ohara, Riku, Ritsu Kageyama, Ryoji Mochizuki, Toushiro Hitsugaya, Yuri Plisetsky. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of many bat wings... This is the Team Snow White Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!
The schedule for Team Snow White is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 1 Part TwoObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

[Not the point. Freya sighs, leaning back on her heels. She squints into the darkness for a few moments, then nods her head.] Hey, would you go check over there with that light of yours? Looks like the water might've run down there, once.
[The glow of the crystals was more than enough to work by for this much, so she starts unrolling and unzipping the soggy sleeping bags. She might be able to dry them.]
Who knows? If we get lucky, maybe the source is still intact.

[Water was supposed to be a good thing. Still, she nodded, following along the trail of the water with her light until she started panning around up above where it seemed like it was dribbling a bit. Higher up still, more rocks, and then...]
I think there's something up there?
[She gestured with her flashlight towards what looked like wood jutting out from between some of the rocks.]
no subject
...What kind of something? More tools? A crevice? [It's hard to see what it was exactly from where Freya was.] Something along the lines of, "yaaay, we're saved?"
[Complete with adopted sarcastic little tone. Nothing was ever that easy.]
no subject
[She was tempted to try and pull them down...]
I could maybe get them down but I can't promise that won't cause...uh...massive cave in?
no subject
[Freya frowns in thought as she wills warmth to course through her limbs. She could warm the air enough to help dry out the equipment, but it'd take a little bit to get going.]
If it was gonna cause a cave-in, you'd think the weight of the rock would break it in the first place. [Then again, physics wasn't exactly something she was well-versed in. She'd trust Eleanor's opinion over hers.] What about that power of yours? Can you get distance with that?
no subject
[Eleanor continued playing the light across the closed up space, her lips pursed, expression thoughtful.]
...I can try. But I really don't know what will happen when I pull them out. Even if we're standing further back. Want me to?
no subject
[Freya stands, picking up the metal rod again, and treads over to stand by Eleanor. She's managed a (not very strong) barrier before; it'd be better than nothing.]
no subject
[Still, if there was cleaner water back there, they had to try, right? So she clenched her fingers, as if mentally gripping the boards, and pulled.]
[At first, nothing happened, then there was a long, low, slowly-increasing creek as the wood strained under her power. And Eleanor strained right back. Thirty seconds later, the boards had bulged out an inch or so, and Eleanor stopped, arms dropping to her sides as she panted to catch her breath.]
Hang...on. A second.
no subject
Take as long as you need. If you start to think it's safe enough, I can help pry them out.
no subject
I can get them. Better off we're both back here. I mean, if there's more of that gross water behind there...
[They didn't need to get soaked in itchy poison water, right?]
[She rolled her shoulders and reached out with her hand again, eyes narrowed, and gripped the boards with her powers...and then yanked as hard as she could. Building off the progess she'd made earlier, the top board snapped in half, and a moment later the one beneath it came apart in splinters, the bits tumbling to the ground and revealing...not really anything much behind them? Certainly no torrent of water.]
...Huh.
no subject
[No gushing water, no cave-in... so Freya advances forward to get a better look at what the boards were blocking off.]
no subject
[Eleanor agreed as she followed after the taller woman, leaning up on her toes as they got closer.]
...Is there something stuck up there?
no subject
[Freya fishes around with the pole, and it takes a couple minutes before she can dislodge and drag out the objects.]
[A pair of dirty snorkels and scuba masks.]
[Freya eyes them suspiciously, at a loss for words. How did any of this make sense?]
no subject
[Eleanor just looked at it, then at the hole, then back at the mask.]
...Okay now I'm just hoping whomever was wearing that wasn't drowned behind those boards or something.
no subject
Didn't feel any bones rattlin' around back there. Looked a bit small for a person, too.
...No point in not tossing 'em in with the other gear, yeah? I can wrap it all up in the tarp, once those sleeping bags dry out.
no subject
No one should put them on until we find some cleaner water to rinse them in though. Don't need a face as itchy as your fingers.
no subject
[Assuming whatever was in the water wouldn't blind them, either. Freya scrubs her fingers on her pants again; just being reminded of them made them itch again.] Let's get that stuff dried out. The sooner we get on the move, the better.
