READY: START Team Tarzan roster: Anastasia, Ikuo Ryuuzaki, Jack Kelly, Kasen Ibaraki, Keigo Asano, Kurogane, Kurt Wagner, Silver, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yaeger, Yosuke Hanamura, Yugi Mutou. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the monkeys howling... This is the Team Tarzan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Kurogane nodded respectfully to Yasusada. He'd have to remember to talk to him afterward; fellow sword lovers weren't rare in Recolle but finding one was always good.
He glanced toward the door and shrugged.
"No idea, but we'll most likely need to find out to get out of here."

[ He assumes that it'll be okay, even if he has to shuffle Fanny out of the way. Walking up towards the door, Yosuke grunted as he pushed up the wooden brace across the front...with his good arm and shoulder.

Kurogane had the same issue, with only having one good arm, but he had a good deal of strength in it so he went to help as best he could. The damn thing was still heavy, though, and he looked back at the swordsman imploringly.
"It'll go a lot faster if we all try it."

[Since, on top of everything else, he's also gotten to stage 1 of "cheating spirit strength"... and he's had it for long enough by now that he's used to it. So he steps up, placing his free hand on the door.]

[And since they both look ready--]

[ With all of their might behind it--well, mostly the other guys'--the beam goes up and over! It falls to the ground with a thud. Yosuke steps back as he lets out a breath. ]
Whew! Okay, that was way better, heh.
[ And on that note. ]
Take two.
[ He positions himself, again, to open the door for his companions. ]
Let's go--
[ And as soon as they give him space, he pulls the door open... ]

"Hey. You guys seeing what I'm seeing?"
Because yeah, those looked like blades and all manner of weapons and arms.
"Figures we'd find this after all the other shit."

But he's gotten lucky, and hasn't actually had to fight off anything yet. So when they step inside, rather than being miffed, his eyes light up--and immediately, he nyooms on over to look at some of the blades. Because of course.]
Look at all of this stuff! Can we keep it all? Do you think we can? [HOW MANY SWORDS CAN HE CARRY if the answer isn't "all of them" he will be very sad]

Yosuke rounds the door to see what his companions are looking at, and-- ]
Holy shit. This place is loaded!
[ Yeah, time to look at the cool weaponry! He walks right up to an old suit of armor. ]
This stuff is old school. How long do you think it's been here?

Not that it bothered him, as he looked over some of the more impressive swords.
"Looks like some more armor over there too."
He was of a mind to grab everything and run before some weird monster came for them, but maybe looking around a little wouldn't hurt anything.

Well, okay, not quite. But it does feel like it makes up for getting punted over a waterfall by a rudeass wind spirit or whatever the hell that was. Yasusada's already grabbing a couple of daggers, doing his best to shove them in his pockets before he goes for the actual swords.
He's got his own, of course. But that's... himself. And considering what he knows about this weird connection of his, he'd rather not risk damaging the blade in any way, so if he could fight with an alternative sword, wouldn't that be best? Sure, it would be difficult to carry them both, but... he's got not-quite-superstrength, it's fine. IT'S FINE.]
Oh, An-chan needs one too... [He's mostly mumbling to himself, but when he reaches for another sword, a thought hits him.
Could these swords be... like him? Is there a person out there somewhere that's jumping right now, frantically trying to figure out why it feels like someone's grabbing their arm? Or could these be "spirits", like he'd supposedly used to be? If they are, does that make them homeless? Would they want to stay here, with each other, or would they want him to take them with him? Like a... a master, or something?
Maybe he's being stupid. He's always been weird with stuff like this, that's just a fact. He'd been the crazy kid with a stick for a friend long before Retrospec began screwing with their lives. But he can't help remembering that feeling of waiting helplessly in an old memory, and as his fingers close around the hilt of another sword, he remembers something else too.
He remembers a shop. Being chosen, being given a home for the very first time. Delight, a sense of belonging, instant devotion--these are the feelings that rush through him as images flood his mind, and he stands, frozen, a distant look in his eyes. Don't mind him, guys, he's having a moment.]

[ He looks at the lizard on his shoulder. These are totally it's size, aren't they? Oh my god. ]
...Okay, this is a whole new level of ridiculous.
[ He turns to face the others, but... ]

Oh, yes, sorry. I'm fine. [And while he still sounds a little distant, it's true that he still seems alright. Not about to burst into tears or anything.
...That said, he looks down at the blade he's touching, and then back at Yosuke with a firm expression.]
