TEAM TARZAN LOG
READY: START Team Tarzan roster: Anastasia, Ikuo Ryuuzaki, Jack Kelly, Kasen Ibaraki, Keigo Asano, Kurogane, Kurt Wagner, Silver, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yaeger, Yosuke Hanamura, Yugi Mutou. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the monkeys howling... This is the Team Tarzan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!
The schedule for Team Tarzan is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 1 Part TwoObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

He stares down at the spikes for a moment, then looks back over his shoulder at what he's already crossed through. Maybe his death by spikes won't be so bad?? God.
Alright, he'll copy what Silver did, giving himself as much of a running start as he can before he jumps. He doesn't quite make it and the result is frantic scrambling against the wall and the ledge. PLEASE HELP HIM UP BEFORE HE SLIPS AND DIES.]

And while Silver's agile, he's not very strong, and Jeager is a lot heavier than he thought. The strain is very plain on his face, although he doesn't look like he's going to drop him just yet.]
Are you, uh-
[Holy shit, just climb up--]

He's still alive, somehow. He's still alive and he owes Silver his life.]
...Well, that was terrible, let's never do that again!
[or he could just do that, that's fine too]
no subject
We're almost out.
[At least they don't have any more big jumps like that one. Just some fire, some swinging axes of death, and... Oh man, that's a lot of arrows.]
no subject
...Just leave me to die here.
[Obviously he's just being melodramatic but oh my god why. It feels like we've just barely scratched the surface for this godawful room.
Jaeger hauls himself to his feet after a moment and offers Silver a hand.]
Let's see if we can make it through the rest of this, ja? We've come this far.
[He's trying very hard to sound optimistic, but it's obvious that this is wearing on him if his irritated expression is any indication.]
no subject
Take a minute. We've come this far.
no subject
...God, they're not going to make it through this.]
I appreciate it, both of you. But we should keep moving, ja?

[And he turns back to look at the last few obstacles in front of them. Jeager's nervous. He's nervous. But it's deceptively easy to manage a smile, despite the circumstances.]
We're gonna make it. Just stay sharp.
[The last fire is easy enough to jump across, too. But the axes and arrows left in front of them, well... That's gonna be a little tougher, isn't it.]
no subject
But all of that can wait until they're safe. He takes a moment to catch his breath before nodding for Silver to continue.]

Silver fires out a couple of sets of his psychic energy blades. His accuracy with them leaves something to be desired, but it seems like he's... Trying to figure something out, maybe? Whatever it is, it doesn't have to do with the axes-]
Cover the left, okay?
[Whether or not Jeager agrees, Silver's running in. The less they think about these things, the better.]

While his aim is absolutely terrible- and certainly not good enough to hit an arrow coming at them- he doesn't have to aim if he does a bunch of little psychic blades all at once. And while he can't exactly aim, as long as he's headed for the right general area, he should be okay. Probably.
It does seem to be working, at least, although it's giving him a wild headache in the process. Croconaw assists them by blasting some arrows away with water. They only have a little more--!]

[He keeps the shield up to keep them safe on one side, but between Silver and Aoi they should be just fine. Reaching the other side of the room safely feels like such a reward, even though all they got out of this was the answer to the scarab puzzle.
Jaeger's just going to collapse once they've reached safety, sitting as far back in the room as he can to stare back at everything they went through.]
...Well, that was dreadful. Let's never do that again!
no subject
Come on, it wasn't that bad.
[It was exactly that bad, if not worse.]
Besides, now we get bragging rights.
no subject
[You look like you're in pain, buddy are you alright-
...But bragging rights are nice and Jaeger considers for a moment before speaking up again.]
Well, no one needs to know exactly how difficult this was, ja? Perhaps it really was simple for us to get back here!
