y'know like nyah [open]
WHO: Souji, Honoka and you poor unfortunate soul
WHERE: Recollé Square
WHEN: 2/21, late afternoon
WHAT: Rescuing cats from trees. or something like that.
WARNINGS: probably none?!? will be edited if needed
[ It's a nice, ordinary day in Recollé Square, isn't it? The weather's passable. Birds are singing. Cats are meowing.
Hold up.
That's right, cats are... meowing? Or that's what it sounds like, anyway. The distinctive nyaaa of a mildly distressed cat seems to be coming from the branches of one of the trees dotted around the park. It's followed by another meow, which suggests the presence of another cat up there. Weird.
Surely you wouldn't have the heart to leave a feline in distress up a tree, would you? ]

[ Ryoga scowled up at the nearest tree -- not out of any dislike of cats, but on general principle. ]
I could have sworn I heard two meows.

...The sound of cats meowing in the square is, while not particularly unusual, worth investigation. Particularly when there are two different cats in what is not a terribly large tree - meaning they'd have to have gotten stuck up there together? If it came down to it, she could probably work her way up with a combination of athleticism and some kind of martial arts (her mind is calculating the odds of a throw-like maneuver against a somewhat elastic object being able to pull her up instead) but she needs to see if there's even anything actually up there in the first place.]
How curious... Hello, kitties, are you up there?
[One hand shields her eyes as she looks into the tree, searching for kitties. She may miss anything else in the tree at first, given she's searching for cat-sized objects and not humanoids.]

He can't exactly tell whether he regrets this decision or not, looking up and seeing two people heavier than cats clearly stuck up there like cats. At least they're probably not suspicious, he'll say that.
> Do you need help meow?
> ...Whatever.]
Ah...do you need help meow? [It only seemed appropriate and polite to respond in kind.
Maybe.]

Peridot peels toward the tree in question, not quite...peering up into its branches as she whips out a grappling hook, because why wouldn't you carry a grappling hook with you at all times. ]
Don't worry, kitties, I'll save you and love you and make sure no harm comes to you ever again!!!
