[ It's a nice, ordinary day in Recollé Square, isn't it? The weather's passable. Birds are singing. Cats are meowing.

That's right, cats are... meowing? Or that's what it sounds like, anyway. The distinctive nyaaa of a mildly distressed cat seems to be coming from the branches of one of the trees dotted around the park. It's followed by another meow, which suggests the presence of another cat up there. Weird.

Surely you wouldn't have the heart to leave a feline in distress up a tree, would you? ]

The great and lovable Peridot to the rescue! [ Okay, she's realized it's people in the tree instead of cats but she's committed to this now, and rather than lose face she's FIRING THAT GRAPPLING HOOK onto a tree branch above them and it starts to pull her up!

Very...very slowly. ]

[ Honoka watches all this with a furrowed brow and then... slowly leans in towards Souji.

In a stage whisper: ]

Do you think we can get down there before the grappling hook kills someone...

[ souji recoils back when the grappling hook, uh, hooks itself to the branch above them and he just... stares at it. oh my god, so this is how it ends. either that branch is going to break and kill them, peridot climbs up and gets stuck with them here, or lightning strikes right now and they all die somehow. ]
