majima's birthday mingle bash
WHO: Kiryu, Majima, Anya, Mafuyu, Makoto (+ basically any friends of Majima and Kaz, they're all invited and please feel free to crash)
WHERE: Kiryu's apartment (don't worry, he has a porch)
WHEN: 5/14 evening
WHAT: It's Majima's Birthday and he wasn't gonna tell anyone but then Anya told Kiryu which means everyone knows now
WARNINGS: None, this is gonna be cute.
[ If Kiryu had known it was Majima's birthday sooner, he might have done something cool like gotten him dinner reservations somewhere fancy or actually bought him maybe more than a nice bottle of booze. But well, beggars can't be choosers and Majima's the kind of person who'd try to pay even on his birthday, so this will have to do.
Kiryu's apartment is "decked out" and by that I mean there's chips, snacks, hot wings, salad, whatever kind of party food you could feasibly cater on short-notice. Soda, beer, and ice are chilling in a cooler in the kitchen (please drink responsibly or be your own bartender) while people mingle about the living room and hang out on the porch. If you bought a gift, that's awesome, leave it on the table marked "GIFTS" (via a sticky-note, sorry.) If not, that's okay, too. Hopefully enough people show up that it won't be too awkward, but there's a cake in the fridge for later so don't just steal food and leave, dammit. You have to stay for cake.
It's the best Kaz could put together on short notice, but it's a party. And like any good party, the moment Majima walks in, you have to make sure you yell: SURPRISE! Oh, shit, there he is now-- ]

A. PRE-PARTY:
I mean, for one thing, he seems to be trying to move his couch? That thing looks heavy. You are too twiggy for that right now, Kaz. ]
B. PARTY:
Ah-- let me get you a coaster. One sec.
C. CAKE
Is that okay? I can get you a bigger slice if you want.
D. WILDCARD/POST PARTY

I'm here! What are you doing? Let me help!

I'm moving this towards the wall so there's more room for people to mingle.
[ Do people still do that? Mingle? ]
We can just drag it.
[ That won't scrape the floors or anything! ]
no subject
There was a purpose to that little demonstration, at which she turns around and points to the middle of the room. ]
See?! If you leave it right here, people can get around it, easy! Backed up against a wall, it's just for sitting on and no one can lean against the back or jump over to the front of anything!

Thanks. I'm glad I was able to put it together. It was kind of last minute.

So yeah, he's here now. With a couple tupperware containers of cookies in his arms, because he has plenty to go around and they might come in handy for the party.
A blond head peeks in through the doorway, and Fai grins when he spots Kiryu.]
Knock knock~!

Ah, hey Fai! Are those for the party?

So how is the birthday boy taking it? [Kaz asks Kaz as Kaz heads up to lean against a doorway, watching Kaz go through the party preparations.]
Did he protest or is he actually enjoying himself?
[He's not actually seen Majima around yet. He's left his hastily wrapped bottle in the present pile for now.]
no subject
[ Kaz smirks. Lookin' cool, Kaz. Kaz hasn't had much chance to talk one-on-one with Majima either, but the fact that he's mingling and not off to the side is probably a good thing. ]
Lots more now that we worked out karaoke.

[Wow that's rude. But also kind of correct? Kaz, please, why have you overestimated your strength. Mista leans (heavily) against the couch, decidedly not helping.]
You need a hand? Wait, let me rephrase that. You need a hand. Not a question. Lemme help.
no subject
I haven't moved it since I moved in.
[ He tries not to frown but. Mista's being so rude!! ]
Guess so. Grab the other end for me?

[On the sagely advice of the other Kaz, this Kaz eventually approaches Majima with a bottle. Wrapped in the standard, traditional classy fashion of a man who has no idea how to wrap bottles so he basically twisted the brightly colored paper around it and wound a ribbon around the neck.]
[#perfection.]
[Miller offers out his extraordinary gift, which is actually a very nice bottle of shochu.] Here. My birthday present to you. I wish you a pleasant hangover.

[Yep, Tatsuo has his phone out. Not for Instagram purposes, but still for posterity.]
Hey Goro, do you take requests?
[Because he will totally show his age and queue up some 90s songs.]
C
[Oh, that box Tatsuo brought with him, that is wrapped neatly with old newspaper and a bright blue stick on bow? Yeah, that contains a shiny gold-colored squirrel statue. Somehow Tatsuo dug up a plaster garden figuring of a rather rabid looking squirrel, claws out and teeth bared. And he spray painted it gold. Because that's what you do with funny looking garden figurines. Spray paint them gold and give them to people for birthday presents.]
c;
Oh shit --- Tatsuo this is so rad.

Finally he wanders back out and plops down on the couch with a new beer, and by the end of Majima's current song he's even laughing and grinning again. And claps like a dork when the song ends.]
I will never listen to Pink the same way again~

[he sets the mic down, turning it off, and then goes to flop down on the couch next to fai. he doesn't ask him to sing (not yet anyway) but he's happy to sit and chat for a bit]
