Prologue.
The liaison’s been fairly busy gathering as much information as possible, and users will notice that several maps have popped up onto their Retrospec app over the last few days. While some messages have been unanswered, he appears again on the seventh and sends a mass text to the group at large.
The boats at the docks should take you out to Pesgare with little issue. You can travel back and forth as much as you need, but just keep in mind how much oxygen you have while you dive down. I’ve got a few things set up to help you that I nabbed from someone else’s world while sorting through memories. It’s not a perfect replica but it’ll have to do. Hope you don’t mind seaweed.
Subways are up and running, but it looks like we’re only able to get to a few stops before something blocks the train itself. Still doesn’t hurt to head out and investigate the area, see what’s out there, and maybe figure out why we’re blocked.
Thanks to someone else…I’ll be out in the field on and off. I’ll try to answer my messages as best as I can, but stay sharp as always.

As promised, for those interested in venturing out to Peach Beach they’ll find several boats ready and available at the docks. Emblazoned with the Retrospec symbol, these boats seem to self-navigate themselves to the outer district known as Pesgare, the little seaside town a few hours outside of the city.
Some users might know this place fairly well from previous endeavors, but today they’ll find that the tide is high and the water’s seeping in to the roads and the shops lining the streets. Unlike several months ago when the whole city was underwater, this time it seems as though something else is forcing the water outward and upward. Exploring the region itself, users will find that citizens of this region will explain that a levee used to exist and needs to be reformed around the town itself for rough weather ahead. The swell of ocean can crash over into the lower part of the city, and to protect themselves they’ll need a wall.
For those of you looking to help out Pesgare without deepdiving and disappearing into the ocean, the citizens of this region will encourage you to help them gather sandbags, create a sound structure, and work together to waterproof several of the buildings. Though the city is still standing, it’s beginning to corrode over time.
Users can help in the following ways:
-Filling sandbags
-Assisting shopkeepers with their inventory and moving items into storage
-Creating a drainage system for additional water to flow back into the ocean
-Digging trenches
-Creating a levee to block the waves from crashing into buildings
-Re-enforcing the buildings along the shoreline
Efficiency is key, Retrospecters. Be sure to use your time wisely while you’re here.

II.
At the edge of Pesgare there’s a stand. It looks similar to a lemonade stand, but sitting behind it is a german shepherd who pushes forth a plate of seaweed with his nose. Should you stand there without taking it, the dog will bark at you insistently, looking between the plate and the ocean repeatedly.
Should you listen to the dog and consume the seaweed, a burning sensation will soon take over. A thin layer weaves itself between each of your fingers and your toes, and gills begin to form over your neck as they flare out and you gasp for air. It burns and chokes you, leaving you to flounder until you make your way back to the water.
It hits you before you can even think, and it’s almost as though you’re sinking without any warning, drowning and pulled straight down to the bottom of the ocean floor. Landing on the sand, the black soot sifts beneath your feet as you find pathways spread ahead of you. Though not an exact replica, you’ll find yourself facing another version of the city of Recollé, back during a simpler time. Several of your favorite stores and buildings are missing, but the layout of Tribunal Square and Apprassage seem to be in-tact.
Swimming comes easy thanks to your new bodily changes. Paddling your way forward, users will also find they aren’t alone. Looming over several of the buildings are large creatures that wait in silence, biding their time until you come closer. Pulsating, these creatures will send out little waves in the ocean that knock you back, disorient you, and may even knock you into other buildings that begin to crumble apart. They have the ability to conduct lightning as well, and should you get too close to certain buildings (including the replica of town hall), you will find yourself shocked, immobilized, and pulled straight into their mouths if you’re not careful. Perhaps it’s a wise idea to immobilize them first.
Strangely, though they aren’t moving they seem to be guarding town hall and the museums. Users can try to outsmart them to get inside, but entering these buildings won’t prove to be much better. The heavy pressure of the ocean weighs down on you as you navigate the rooms. Inside, though they seem to match their Recollé counterparts, they may find that things aren’t always what they seem.
A series of trap doors and invisible walls appear inside these buildings, shunting you from place to place and making it increasingly difficult to move around. You may find yourself teleporting from one building to another, or falling into a trench you could not see. The currents are heavy and make swimming in the right direction difficult, swirling silt and sand everywhere.
But should they enter these buildings, users may find:
-Physical copies of several maps from various worlds.
-Abandoned scuba gear.
-Pieces that seem to be a portion of a submarine.
-Abandoned computers.
-Abandoned weaponry.
-Items with the Vanderweele family crest
-Books on the history of Recollé containing information about the city that seems to be missing from various texts elsewhere.
Dive deep and explore, citizens. Bringing some of these items back may net you an interesting answer.

III.
Back in the city of Recollé, the underground subway is now open and available for exploration once more. Unlike trains of the past that would attack or derail themselves, the new models are sleek and fully navigational, able to have maps inputted to them and take passengers outside of the city. No matter what train you board, it seems that you can select from a few separate maps to explore.
The ride itself almost seems entirely uneventful, quiet and normal despite whatever map you pick, but as the train leaves the tunnel and begins to pull away from the city itself. The outside world begins to pass you by as you come up from the underground, bypassing several buildings, trees, and stretches of land on your way out.
There are, surprisingly, thirty maps to choose from. While the maps themselves aren’t entirely indicative of what they represent, users are free to pick and choose where they would like to go. Twenty eight maps will lead to worlds that may seem familiar to several users on the app. Structured in various states of finishing ranging from a blank canvas with a few specific parts to fully-fleshed out worlds with figments of people inhabiting them (many of whom you may recognize as well), these worlds will allow users to get a taste of what life might be like should they grow beyond their horizons.
The other two maps, however, lead to one of two areas.
The first map will lead users to a version of the city of Recollé long before the project started. The buildings that exist now are in place, but certain changes are missing. People you’ve become familiar with exist as figments in this place, a projected model of a world that could be. Everything is fully functional in this city ad you’ll find replicas of all of your personal belongings right where you left them. Spend some time here if you wish for a bit of normalcy.
The second map, however, leads users to a modern yet technologically advanced city. Magic roams freely in this city and users can find areas such as banks, shopping malls, training academies, and companies that outfit all sorts of equipment including hovercrafts, robots, time machines, VR and more. Magical text books are available in this place, providing spells and enchantments for anything you could think of in the realm of light and dark magic.
Over all, it seems that this place is an advanced version of Recollé itself.
When users pick a location to stop, they may do the following:
-Explore these new areas.
-Compare and bring back resources from these mapped areas.
-Stake claim to these areas.
-Create new maps.
-Learn more about themselves, and see the world build before them as their memories line up.
Is it worth exploring? There’s only one way to find out.

IV.
Meanwhile, also in the city of Recollé, users will find that several of the doors from before have disappeared though the leylines spread further out into Recollé woods. With the imminent threat of monsters around, the city seems to be in a layer of suspense even with spring in full swing.
Everywhere you go this month, the feeling of being watched can’t be shaken. Paranoia begins to creep in, making it difficult not to worry about what’s to come. Paranoia, however, can manifest in many different forms ranging from paranoia that you’ve forgotten something important to an insistent urge that someone will sneak up on you in the middle of the night and take you away.
As the month goes on, the feeling increases as you feel something move beneath your feet, as though something’s crawling under the earth itself. Leylines pop up, and should you stand on them for too long you’ll feel yourself beginning to grow weary as if the life is being sucked right out of you. Those most effected will begin to grow pale in appearance, a lack of energy and life taking its toll.
So how does one get that energy back? Find a way to replenish by living life to the fullest, whether that’s spending time with friends and loved ones, enjoying a hobby, returning to your roots or more.
Most importantly? Users may wish to track those lines and try to find the source of where they’re coming from. Tracing them down may be wise this month.

BONUS
They say that April showers bring May flowers, but what if the flowers came early? Now on sale at various street vendors and other locations, bushels of bright poppies can be found available for anyone to take. It’s hard to resist these bright, bursting colors, but there’s something a bit…unusual about these flowers. Should you take a bundle for yourself or give them to that special someone, you’ll find yourself feeling incredibly thirsty. Drink as much as you’d like; you can’t seem to quench your thirst…and you also can’t seem to get rid of these bees and hummingbirds that begin to follow you wherever you may go. Patches of color begin to explode over exposed skin and a sweet fragrance lingers around you.
Don’t worry, it isn’t dangerous. But it’s excellent for business, isn’t it?

[Lina is zipping around the town, and you can find her filling bags and setting them against barriers, lifting heavy parts to help build the replacement levee, and/or running around with a bucket trying to bail out areas.]
We'll get this done in no time!
[2]
[Lina hasn't gone fishperson, but she's still swimming deep in the ocean without needing to breathe? Mysterious. She's trying to hold her own against the monsters, punching them with as much force as they give to her. If one of them swings at you, she'll swim forward and try to block.]
!
[3]
[Lina steps into a courtyard of a large building that's almost all filled in.] She carefully lifts off the ground and flies around, checking out the fountain with the statue of Justice, the banners around the fence, the giant amethyst on the top of the tower, until she ends up at a statue on the green.]
This is real. This place is really coming back.
[She sounds amazed, grateful, but also... sad?]

Togusa was worried that chaos around Pesgare was going to lead to trouble for the village, itself, and his worries seem to have come true. As soon as he stepped off the boat, he's been here enough times that some people recognized him and put him to work.
Luckily, he brought along one extra-strong helper. Isamu the tachikoma is hurrying through the town and letting out a constant stream of worried babbling. He will do anything that the townspeople need of him...so long as it doesn't get him into water deeper than his wheels. Isamu doesn't want to find out what happens if he gets submerged, and, honestly, neither does Togusa. But he has to try to make use of the tachikoma's strength, where he can. He edges close to where the levees are being built, but occasionally flees when the water starts to rise again.
Togusa, meanwhile, has his sleeves rolled up and is trying to work nonstop. He keeps up a cheery banter with the fishermen and other people near the docks. His main task seems to be set up helping dig a long drainage trench to try to help the water flow back away from the city. Anything to preserve the village.
II: Out Under the Ocean
It is out towards the water that Togusa runs into a familiar friend. He breaks into a wide grin as soon as he sees the German Shepherd oddly manning a booth.
"Aslan!" He laughs and reaches out to give pets. Aslan wags his tail excitedly and noses up into Togusa's hand. Treats? Treats?
But Aslan won't go far away from his post, and he insistently moves Togusa's hand towards the clumps of seaweed. Togusa picks one up and eyes it, then looks at Aslan. "Oh boy. What's this for?"
Aslan barks and mimes chewing noises at the air, as if he had gotten one of the sought-after treats.
"Okay....." Togusa has the slightest suspicion of where this is going, so he adjusts his gear. So much for the scuba gear, but he hooks on the dive belt, so he can keep a light on him.
Togusa stuffs the seaweed into his mouth, and he is not ready for the result. He gasps at the air a few times, trying to breathe. Aslan whines and shoves him in the back of the leg. Water. Towards the water, dummy.
There is minimal thrashing as Togusa dives in, and big surprise. Gills. Again. He tries to sigh, but it doesn't even let out a blub, an odd feeling underwater. Well. Time to try this again.
He'd be lying if he said he wasn't keeping one eye open for a glimmer of gold scales.
IIIa: To Niihama (Ghost in the Shell)
A few of those maps looked similar. Quite similar. A gentle touch to the surface of a screen, and Togusa knows what he has to be looking at. He picks one of the ones that look close to each other. So many of them come from Japan. It has to be right...doesn't it?
The train emerges into an urban center, another subway stop, something that almost looks like the place they came from, but all the signage is different.
It's when Togusa leaves the station that the full neon and chrome of the city meets him. It's. It's just like at Christmas. He's truly here. Some of the people that pass by have visible cyberware. Some are obvious, like eyes. For others, it's just a subtle line at a joint indicating a seam. Or skin a little too shiny and plastic. But it's integrated well though a Japanese city.
For a second, there is a burst of bitter irony, some anger through Togusa. That he made it here just in time for Mariko to not join him. But, that can wait. For now, he can enjoy being here in the city of Togusa's memories.
New Port City, Niihama, Japan, 2030. What do you want to see first?
IIIb: Recolle of the Future?
There's something very wrong about this city. It doesn't feel like either Recolle, or like Niihama. Or even like any of the other cities that Togusa has been to on the trains. Is it a vision? A hope of what could be?
Togusa finds himself gravitating towards this city's version of Peach Beach. Above all else, he can't help but remember the tale that Ethel told him about how Recolle had been in her childhood. That there had once been peach trees by the beach, wiped out for progress. And now, what is left of the beach, worn away by time, and covered with boardwalks. A few sandbars tried to artificially extend it, but it didn't do much good.
Strange, that Togusa stands here, instead of staring at all the wonders that city has to offer him. He longs for the one thing that isn't there anymore.
IV: ...What's a leyline?
Togusa isn't finding too much time to return to the city. Something about being here is making him uneasy, or maybe just spurring him into action in any other place because he knows how much is at stake. But he has to sleep some time, and isn't making the same mistake as last month. Some sleep in his own bed, some rest and keeping himself from staying drenched and getting sick again.
It's when he is out walking Daiuske that he finds the first one, a bright line, shining under his feet. He isn't sure if Daisuke sees the line, or something else, but the pup stops and barks repeatedly. As he is trying to calm his dog, Togusa is slowly getting more and more drained. How far has he walked? It isn't that far...is it? Then why does he feel like he can't make it back home?

[ It’s not like Malik really wants to go down in the subway - something about dark underground spaces unnerves him - but like hell he’s going free diving with a bunch of people he doesn’t trust up in Pesgare. Magatus was already shitty enough. So, whatever; he picks a map without really looking at it, and he definitely heads somewhere inadvertently and inexplicably familiar. It’s a city, with the kind of expected stops one might find in a large metropolitan area, like an aquarium, pier, museum; and an open air, under construction sports stadium… that has a blimp in it? That’s uh, pretty weird. Yet not as weird as the teenagers running around impassioned about a trading card game. And it’s not just one or two odd groups, it’s like nearly everyone. There’s even crowds surrounding two people “dueling” i.e., playing cards aggressively at each other. There’s also holographic monsters involved. While the holographic monsters might seem cool to some, all Malik has to say about such a sight is: ]
Well. This isn’t Egypt or Recolle…
[ It’s actually Japan. And depending on where he is in the city, he’s going to have a stronger reaction: A. The Egypt exhibit at the museum might be weird, cool, or appropriative - but he seems reluctant to go inside to check it out. B. The pier has him practically dissociating on sight, as he remembers this place, and he definitely remembers threatening to poison a hostage he had brainwashed. Uh. Awkward. C. The aquarium seems to have attracted a crowd of excitable card game enthusiasts, but Malik is more interested in checking out the motorcycle that was left outside, and D. the stadium is just uh… weird. Baffling. Seriously, why is there a blimp here??
Or maybe your character is just really invested in E. 1997-era Japan and card games, or something else entirely! No judgement here fam. ]

[ After what happened in February, Raina is kind of purposely avoiding going outside the city, but she can't just sit around and wait when others are doing things. She feels like she has to make up for her losses - for how she did practically nothing in March.
Which might be the reason why she's pretty much prepped herself up for danger. She's largely a non-combatant, after all with a focus on analysis and computers.
Smart, but at the same time... an idiot. And going through the subway cars sounds a lot safer than heading to Pesagare, especially given what she's heard of the place.
But one of the maps that she finds? It's Japan. But more specifically, it's Yokohama. She's always wanted to go to Japan, and more than that, Yokohama is a spot for some of her favorite anime series, too.
So when she's actually there, she can't help but be amazed at the sights. The famous Cosmo Clock 21 at the amusement park is gorgeous, even if it isn't night time.
But then she sees a school and freezes up.
Ah.
So her past life lived in... it all clicks now and disregarding anyone who might be with her, she rushes in through the gates of the school. Her feet move and while she doesn't know the exact location of where she needs to go, she doesn't remember, she knows all too well that it's here. Those uniforms that she sees all around her, she knows them.
The Student Cultural Society Clubroom.
And that's when she sees a lone boy sitting down all by his lonesome, looking rather relaxed. He doesn't seem to have noticed, just yet, that Raina's showed up - much less anyone else who might have taken chase - but it's seeing him that makes her fall on her knees on the spot, all teary eyed as she speaks up, her voice cracking and shaky. ]
It's really you... I didn't think that I'd ever see you, that I'd ever get to meet you... I'm so happy...
[ Although feel free to walk in late and misunderstand the situation and think that he made her cry. Which, well. That wouldn't be wrong. ]

[ Want to do anything else? Hit me up! Raina herself is more focused on the subways and heading into other places along with just staying in Recolle areas, too. I'm also willing to write up starters if you want to visit other parts of Yokohama as well! Feel free to hit me up via PM or at
endlesseight for stuff. ]

[Whether you're setting up a levee or even helping transport inventory to safer zones, you might just hear a girl's voice call out:]
Incomiiiiiiiiing!
[She flies in on sparkling, semi-translucent bat wings, her arms full of supplies - so full, really, it might be a shock she can even carry it all in spite of her petite size.]
Alright, I'm here now! Where should we put all these?
[III.]
[The scene that greets them at the end of the line is a verdant hill.
Upon disembarking the train, Yuuki pauses to take in the sight, the slight breeze blowing her long hair ever so slightly. She turns this way and that, looking towards the city up ahead, and the mountains beyond even that. Towards the snowy fields off to the left, wintery in spite of the warmth of this particular area.]
...I know this place.
[Her voice comes out quiet, barely a whisper.]

The nice thing about magic is that Derek has some really random spells. He remembered seeing Granger use this spell on Potter's glasses. If the spell caused water to repel off of glasses, why not buildings. So Derek has taken it upon himself to start charming the buildings to be water repellent. Filling sand bags is nice an all, but you can't beat magical charms.
Chances are you will find Derek going throughout the houses and tapping on walls, tables, chairs while muttering under his breath.
Impervius!
Water is suddenly not seeping into the side of a house and the walls are dry.
II. Isn't that Gillyweed?
Derek just stares at the seaweed and thinks back to the message Zee sent. The dog barks and, points is nose at the seaweed, and then at the ocean. Derek leans down towards the dog with a smirk.
"Zee got us gillyweed didn't he?"
The dog barks in response. If you happen to be next to Derek, you're gonna end up getting a few words of advice from him.
"Hey, this is based off something from my world. You're only going to be able to breath underwater for about an hour. So watch your time."
Derek picks up a piece of the seaweed.
"Ah, also, eat this right before you go into the water or you'll be a like a fish out of water, literally."
III. To Hogsmeade and Hogwarts
When Derek notices one of the maps leads to Hogwarts, he instantly hops on the train. There were things he wanted to remember, and maybe, just maybe he could remember if he went to the place. This time it wasn't some portal or dream, it was real. Or at least he hoped so. The train went all the way to Hogsmeade train station and Derek got off the train. The village felt familiar. Derek wasn't sure where to start. There was so many places to go. If you've happen to come along an gotten off at the same stop, Derek will turn to you.
"I think I'll start with the village, you want to tag along?"

The dark tunnels turn into glass to expose the underwater view, with plenty of fish swimming around.
Among the fish there is a giant sea serpent that swims by, looks at the train for a while before scurrying away.
"Well, welcome to my world, and we might be fighting that thing later on land."
Al says casually to whoever happens to be there.
[Either fighting it or not later are both on the table, just tell me and it will be so!]
4) Fire and Dagger
Al was starting to feel tense, like something was going to strike soon and try to take away people he has grown close to. He is out for a walk, with earbuds blasting some music to try to blast those paranoid thoughts away. Got the bag with supplies, things are fine.
He closes his eyes to get into the music just for a moment, you might have tapped his shoulder gently to get his attention, with blinding speed he pulls out his knife and turns around with it on fire, face filled with panic.
"Oh gosh....I'm so sorry!" He says blushing hard once he sees you aren't sticking him up.
Bonus! Flowers are overrated
Al just wanted to buy a certain someone a gift, and the flowers were colourful and the scent was really sweet, perfect.
It was nice at first, bit thirsty but no big, there were a few hummingbirds that came close and Al was happy to have a few little friends.
Then the
fire nation attackedbee swarm decided to gang up on Al and he is BOOKING it, he pulls out his knife and it's on fire"RUN! CRAP TON OF BEES! I'M GOING TO TRY TO SET THEM ON FIRE!"

[Wesker already knows what's going to confront him, if they end up anywhere he finds familiar; he knows what he expects to see, he knows the streets and the buildings that will greet him when they arrive. It isn't shocking to him anymore, the notion of so many either dead or lost to the virus; it's how things have been for a long time now, and he's more than come to terms with it.
So he inputs the destination and he finds somewhere to sit down, seeming a little on-edge and quiet, perhaps a bit overly-focused as he watches the scenery go by.
When he makes his way off the platform and into Raccoon City proper, the notion of being "slightly" on-edge goes completely out the window; he freezes up entirely, in a way that he hasn't in a very, very long time, and it takes him a moment to shake it off.]
...There's something wrong.
[It's quiet, but there's something almost urgent behind his words; it's a bit strange, perhaps, given that the city seems perfectly normal. People are going about their day in a somewhat busy downtown area, lined with shops and official-looking county buildings; everything seems fine.]
There are too many people here. This isn't... It's not right.
[IV.]
...This again.
[Yeah, Wesker's not impressed with the leylines; he'd dealt with that massive goddamn eyeball beneath the ground, before, and he's incredibly tempted to track them again and see what comes up...]
I do have to wonder if this is going to be as enjoyable as the last time things like this showed up.
[Apparently "living life to the fullest" is going to involve seeking out and killing shit.]

[There are a few places Jaeger would like to visit, but he'd be lying if he said that he wanted to go anywhere more than Terca Lumireis. He selects it and boards the car, and he's surprisingly quiet the whole way there. Usually he does nothing but talk, especially to fill the silence, but today seems like a good day for reflection.
He's not entirely sure where the car will let out, and he expects to find himself at the Manor of the Wicked again. Instead, we're set down on a bridge outside of a busy city. It looks like it's twilight, but you can hear birds chirping behind you - it looks like there's wilderness and forests out that way, but Jaeger's attention is on the town itself.]
I wasn't expecting Dahngrest.
[It takes him a moment, but he'll finally move toward the city. If you follow, you'll find he seems to know his way around well enough, weaving through people and past an inn, stalls selling goods, and even some rowdy drunks. He heads to the northern part of the city, where he stops in front of a large building. He seems to steel himself for a moment before entering.
It's loud in here, with sounds coming from the room straight ahead. It sounds like laughter, and a man's booming voice can be heard over the din. Jaeger seems to recognize it, but it's hard to tell whether he's relaxed at all or whether it's put him more on edge.]
...Ah, my apologies, I didn't mean to drag you with me! Would you like to see the city? I can show you around.
[He's already turning to leave, do you want to keep following him?]
III-B
[Jaeger certainly could leave Dahngrest; he's fairly sure he knows the way back to his house, after all. But that involves a trek through the monster-infested woods, and he's not really sure he wants to go up against them right now. He can fight - and fight pretty damn well - but he still hasn't mastered the use of his artes (because he's embarrassed about yelling attack names), so it's probably best for him to stay here.
In some ways, that's a bit disappointing, he'd really like to see—
Well, if you're with him (or just checking out the stalls here - they sell all sorts of things but mainly focus on weapons and strange gels that are apparently for healing), you'll find him freeze up after a moment. If you look in the direction he's facing, you'll see two girls. The red-haired girl seems to be doing all the actual shopping while her sister chats up the vendor, and both of them seem pretty absorbed in what they're doing.]
Ah...
[Jaeger doesn't really seem to know what to do with this? He wasn't expecting to see them here, what does he do with this...]

[...You know, Cumore is really not sure how much he wants to be here.
Like, this has potential to be a mess and there's not much that he can really think to do here, anyway, and there's something different about seeing this place in person like it's real instead of just some weird magical hallucination or something, and when he gets off the train it's in the fields just outside a massive city on a hill, and ohhhh there's the spire he's seen before, and the barrier, and the castle and all the residential quarters below, and he's just going to turn to whomever's with him and, uh.]
...You know, perhaps we shouldn't stay here. It's not as though I'm all that interested, are you?
[IIIb.]
[Okay, okay. So being here isn't completely terrible, it's just kind of weirding him out. He's spending a fair amount of time in the Royal Quarter; the streets here are beautiful and well-kept, flanked by large manors and overlooking it all is the castle to the north. There's a small group of people just within the castle gates that seem to be conversing about something fairly important; Cumore is watching them, though they seem to be paying him no mind, and eventually one of them dismisses the others and off they go.
Cumore gestures a bit, indicating the one that's left; he's dressed differently from the others he had just dismissed, he looks important, with shoulder-length hair that's feathered outward to the sides – it seems to have gone prematurely grey, seeing as he doesn't seem that old, perhaps early forties at the oldest.
And it seems he's the subject of Cumore's latest conjecture.]
Seeing as it seems to take them a moment to recognize who we are... If I were to punch him – just once, quickly, preferably in the head but I'll take what I can get – do you think that I could get out of striking distance before he both recovers composure and recognizes me at all? Because if not, he absolutely can and will bodycheck me into the pavement, but if so...
[God. He sounds like he's putting a lot of thought into this.]

[The best days on set were the shoots with animals. While directors and co-stars stressed over getting them to perform their roles properly, Asami would every second between takes petting them, showering them with praise and lamenting the fact her schedule kept her from adopting a fur baby of her own. Naturally, she trusted the dog when he offered the seaweed. Hadn't she been told something like this happened before?]
[Everything after that happened in a blur, her thoughts overwhelmed by panic as her lungs struggled-- no, just stopped working. One moment she was drowning in mid-air, the next she was in the water, sinking rapidly...]
[...to another version of the city? She's bewildering and peering around in confusion, and might very well be found still in that state.]
III. The Forest Cabin
[She's not sure what led her here. What started as aimless exploration felt like something drawing her to this spot. It was a small log cabin in the middle of a clearing, a small floating box in front of it with a price in something called col. She shivered as she approached, something about this place feeling so familiar to her.]
[It was like the place she wanted to buy for her grandparents before they passed, but there was something else. As she walked past the floating sign, it changed. PURCHASED, it said, a happy little fanfare playing behind it. The door opened for her and she stepped inside.]
[The inside was empty, just as you'd expect a home that had only just purchased to be. Just as she'd been drawn to the cabin itself, she stepped toward the kitchen. A warm feeling came over her, something familiar and distantly happy.]
Is this... my home?
