TEAM FOUR EVENT LOG
READY: START. Roster: Noah Isaacs + Gunther Schwarz, Gintaro Suzukaze + Elda Marker, Dave Strider + Byakuya Kirigiri, Shouto Todoroki + Akira Kurusu, Eren Jaeger + Yusuke Kitagawa, Soleil Beaufort + Vera Weisz, Alessandro Vinsmoke + Yu Narukami, Cleo Ritter + Minako Arisato, Penelope Raban + Olive Freya Yun, Orihime Inoue + Matthew Murdock, Ryouta Ono + Baren Kaiyou, Prompto Argentum + Keigo Higashino, Zaveid Taleb + Ragna Edgson, Amelia Wagner + Kasen Kaneda On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering at the Recollé Zoo and Aquarium. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a large bus with the Retrospec logo on the hood. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached. I'm no Ms. Frazzle, but I think this bus will do the trick. Hope you packed a book or something. Upon boarding the bus you'll find that's it's equipped for a longer road trip. There are snacks, books, video game consoles, and even a few beds and bathrooms. Just as well, seeing how you're going to be traveling north of the city, traveling through the woods for about seven hours. As you travel, the sky begins to change colors and the temperature drops toward the end of your journey. Outside the window you'll see a mountain range and snow on the ground, and stars streak across the sky as you enter the beautiful region of Magatus. ![]() Permanently semi-dark with beautiful colors streaking across the sky, Magatus is filled with rivers, grass, coniferous trees and snow-capped mountains. The temperature is quite frigid, so travelers will need to bundle up! The region known as Magatus is fairly open and while there may not a huge population like Recollé, there are small clusters of buildings and homes that characters can find by exploring this region. There is roughly 1,500 square miles to cover in the area claiming to be Magatus and some parts of this region may experiences changes in weather including heavy snow, ice, and blackouts. Most of the towns are quaint and friendly though most people appear to mind their own business. If spoken to, they will explain that they’ve been enjoying their time alone and away from the hustle and bustle of city life, though it may be a little hard to know if this is actually true. Some of the younger ones will say they’ve lived here their whole life, but most will shy away from the topic of where they came from. Shops that can be found seem to range in the realm of basic general stores, hardware stores, mini foodmarts, and weaponry. The Magatus people truly live a simple life. The true nature of this region doesn’t seem to come out until nightfall, however. As the light fades and the sky darkens, the colors brighten above and the sound of wolves begin howling nonstop. Depending, you may even hear the sound of snarling and growling, quick footsteps crunching through fresh snow and irritated barking. The townspeople know better than to stay out at night when the wolves run and the shadows dance, and they would advise that anyone from out of town take cover. Too bad they won’t invite you in. You’re on your own out in the wilderness. This is the Team Four Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.
Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner! People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following: -Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts. -Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are. -Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.) -Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur. These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want! Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions, Participation Reporting, NPC questions. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links. You must ICly tap into the log within the first 48 hours, or you will be removed from your team. If your activity is low per objective, the moderators may reach out to you about reassignment as well. The schedule for Team Four is as follows: Feb 3rd: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Threading for Travel to Location | Threading for Objective OneObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

...It really is like a fairy tale. Our own fairy tale adventure!
[ She probably shouldn't sound as happy as she does? Especially with all the talk of ghosts and Ragnarok. ]
Someone was talking to me about how last year there were labyrinths and special rooms that could hold an entire desert--this is the same thing!
no subject
[If this is a fairy tale, then she is clearly out of place. Sure, Snow White and the Moon Princess here fit in, but Soleil hardly fits into a fairy tale.]
As much as I'd like to take in the scenery, we'd better get to work. We have a lot of options here and I'm not going to hear any "split up and cover more ground" nonsense.
[It is way too dangerous even if they have a lot of options before them.]
Okay, my princesses. You two got a better idea than picking one at random?
no subject
[She takes a step forward, examining the symbol on each of the towers closely. Sadly, she doesn't know what any of them mean.]
I wonder if the colors correlate to something?
no subject
She looks over her shoulder at the other girls and then, giving the clouds one last appreciative smile, turns back to stand next to them properly. Orihime adjusts the drops to her satchel as she glances between the different towers. ]
Maybe they're all different royal houses to this cloud city? We should probably pick the one that looks the nicest.
no subject
Time for her to do what she does best.]
Well, thinking about it isn't going to do us any good, so I vote we pick one at random and get this over with.
[It is time for action, not thinking!]
...None of them are pink, so I've got no preference. Which one do you two want to pick?
no subject
Well, if we're going by favorite colors, I'd say white or blue.
no subject
[ That took her, like, zero seconds. ]
Blue is the color of the ocean and sky and blueberries and Mountain Dew Baja Blast!
no subject
She is a simple girl, but it works for her. Questioning things you know you won't get answers to is a waste of time, whether that is analyzing mysterious symbols or trying to figure out what is going on in Orihime's head.
She is so precious I want to explode.]
Well, that logic is about as good as anything else we have to go on right now. Blue it is.
[Soleil hooks on of her arms around one of Orihime's and her other around one of Vera's, and heads straight towards the enormous bridge that leads to the tower with the blue flag. This is partly to obviously enjoy the opportunity to walk together with both of them, but also to keep either of the from stumbling off the bridge, which is more out of paranoia than being a reasonable risk.]
I don't know what is going to be in there, but are the two of you ready? I'd rather not get caught off guard again.
[Surely there won't be anything as ridiculous as falling through the sky, right?]
no subject
Vera doesn't have very long to dwell on this, however, as Soleil grabs her arm and starts walking her towards the tower. While she visibly protests being dragged to their objective, she can't help but give the taller girl's arm an affectionate squeeze.
When the trio passes through the tower gates, they find themselves entering a massive arena. It stands at the center of a spiraling cluster of storm clouds, crackling with lightning and showering them all in light rain.
Vera immediately attempts to take shelter behind her teammates.]
Every time I think this place can't get any crazier...
no subject
[ She repeats as if that somehow explains it all. Did that help, Vera?
She's happy to trot/skip right next to Soliel as they cross the bridge. This is the kind of fantastical adventure she was hoping for, and it's all the better if they can actually help out the others because of this. She's so ready!
...Well, mostly ready until the tower somehow opens up to an expanse that seems impossible. But they are in a magical cloud city, so anything is possible, isn't it? Orihime doesn't seem to mind the rain or the thunder, even if the latter makes her jump. ]
...It's an indoor thunderstorm!
[ Wait a second. Are they standing on--some sort of track? ]
...Does anyone else hear that?
[ Kind of like the telltale rumbling of dozens of feet getting closer by the second? ]
no subject
Heeheehee. They're so cute together. Total opposites, but both of them are totally perfect. All Vera can feel from Soleil right now is what could only be described as sunshine in her heart.
Unfortunately, that sunshine gets cut off as their walk together not only comes to an end, but the clear weather is replaced with rain and the loud rumbling is revealed to be a swarm of...inhuman musclemen.]
...Okay. I had no idea what to expect, but I still need to say it: not what I expected.
[The horde of muscular superhumans immediately start flexing, as though they are trying to irritate Soleil.]
no subject
Sadly, they don't have much time to enjoy it as a horde of flexing freaks start encroaching on them. One blond beefcake offers them a challenge, to beat them in a series of challenges to win a brightly-colored gem with a wolf's paw print on it.]
Ugh, more wolves. Well, I guess that's what we were sent here to get. What are we going to do, guys?
no subject
They sure look strong...
[ Wait, what are they talking about? A gem with a wolf's pawprint? Orihime looks around the stadium and, yep, on a pedestal with some light shining on it is a very bright jewel. ]
There it is!
[ She points excitedly. ]
You're right, that must be it! Maybe this can lead us to Fenrir and we can stop the apocalypse?
[ Which means Orihime turns to Blond Beefcake with her hands on her hips, looking as big as she can be. ]
Sir, we accept your challenge! For Valhalla!
no subject
[Almost too convenient. Beat a bunch of meatheads in a competition and prevent the end of the world? It's ridiculous, but not any more ridiculous than...literally anything else they have done so far today.
Soleil has never turned down a challenge from some dude who thinks he's stronger or more athletic than her, so she isn't about to start today.]
Looks like we don't have a choice. You're not quite right, though...
[I'm not sure what they have planned, but Orihime isn't built for it. Vera maybe, but...
She puts one hand on a hip and points at their opponents with the other.]
We'll have you crying on the ground in face of our girlpower. For Galhalla!
no subject
Alright well, gotta keep the momentum up. Vera will put a hand on her hip and... point? At the guys?]
Yeah, we're going to... kick... your asses?
no subject
Bohahahahaha!
[ It just...seems like the right sort of battle laugh to do. Because why not. ]
Okay! Let's go sign up!
[ With that Orihime turns right around to go find some official to speak to. Luckily, she spots one not too far off and immediately waves over to them. ]
I'll be right back! Wait--is that our team name? Galhalla?
no subject
Uh. We're the...Palkyries of Galhalla?
[Yeah. Just a bunch of gals being pals ready to thrust fear into the hearts of some manly men.]
no subject
You know what, let's just go with that.
no subject
[ That's what they're going with.
And Orihime comes back a few minutes later with numbers they can pin to their clothes, underneath each number says "Palkyries of Galhalla". ]
Here we go! We're officially in! And the first challenge is the hurdles.
no subject
She gives Vera a nudge. Once Orihime is back, she pins the number to her chest.]
This is way more official than I'd have expected.
[Hurdles aren't good. Orihime is not built to jump and even if Vera is mostly leg, she's so short. They're both at a disadvantage. Maybe I can just, hmm....]
Do the two of you think you can do it?
no subject
[God those hurdles are almost as tall as she is.]
I might be able to do it, but I'll have to get creative. What about you two?
no subject
...Probably not, but when has that ever stopped her? ]
I could try! I have a hard head so if I fell down I would be okay.
no subject
...How about the two of you sit this one out?
[Even though she has been focusing less on her superstar athleticism from high school and more on bodybuilding, she should be able to do these hurdles...probably. They are unfairly, unrealistically tall...
This'll be like back in high school. Me and a pair of cute cheerleaders cheering me on. Yeah, this is a chance to impress them!]
I've got this.
[Hopefully any other events will be more their speed. Ice skating and competitive corndog eating, maybe? She bolts off to get to the starting line.]
no subject
no subject
We believe in you, Soliel!
[ She wanted a cheerleading squad? She's got it. ]
You can do it!
