TEAM FOUR EVENT LOG
READY: START. Roster: Noah Isaacs + Gunther Schwarz, Gintaro Suzukaze + Elda Marker, Dave Strider + Byakuya Kirigiri, Shouto Todoroki + Akira Kurusu, Eren Jaeger + Yusuke Kitagawa, Soleil Beaufort + Vera Weisz, Alessandro Vinsmoke + Yu Narukami, Cleo Ritter + Minako Arisato, Penelope Raban + Olive Freya Yun, Orihime Inoue + Matthew Murdock, Ryouta Ono + Baren Kaiyou, Prompto Argentum + Keigo Higashino, Zaveid Taleb + Ragna Edgson, Amelia Wagner + Kasen Kaneda On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering at the Recollé Zoo and Aquarium. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a large bus with the Retrospec logo on the hood. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached. I'm no Ms. Frazzle, but I think this bus will do the trick. Hope you packed a book or something. Upon boarding the bus you'll find that's it's equipped for a longer road trip. There are snacks, books, video game consoles, and even a few beds and bathrooms. Just as well, seeing how you're going to be traveling north of the city, traveling through the woods for about seven hours. As you travel, the sky begins to change colors and the temperature drops toward the end of your journey. Outside the window you'll see a mountain range and snow on the ground, and stars streak across the sky as you enter the beautiful region of Magatus. ![]() Permanently semi-dark with beautiful colors streaking across the sky, Magatus is filled with rivers, grass, coniferous trees and snow-capped mountains. The temperature is quite frigid, so travelers will need to bundle up! The region known as Magatus is fairly open and while there may not a huge population like Recollé, there are small clusters of buildings and homes that characters can find by exploring this region. There is roughly 1,500 square miles to cover in the area claiming to be Magatus and some parts of this region may experiences changes in weather including heavy snow, ice, and blackouts. Most of the towns are quaint and friendly though most people appear to mind their own business. If spoken to, they will explain that they’ve been enjoying their time alone and away from the hustle and bustle of city life, though it may be a little hard to know if this is actually true. Some of the younger ones will say they’ve lived here their whole life, but most will shy away from the topic of where they came from. Shops that can be found seem to range in the realm of basic general stores, hardware stores, mini foodmarts, and weaponry. The Magatus people truly live a simple life. The true nature of this region doesn’t seem to come out until nightfall, however. As the light fades and the sky darkens, the colors brighten above and the sound of wolves begin howling nonstop. Depending, you may even hear the sound of snarling and growling, quick footsteps crunching through fresh snow and irritated barking. The townspeople know better than to stay out at night when the wolves run and the shadows dance, and they would advise that anyone from out of town take cover. Too bad they won’t invite you in. You’re on your own out in the wilderness. This is the Team Four Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.
Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner! People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following: -Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts. -Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are. -Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.) -Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur. These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want! Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions, Participation Reporting, NPC questions. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links. You must ICly tap into the log within the first 48 hours, or you will be removed from your team. If your activity is low per objective, the moderators may reach out to you about reassignment as well. The schedule for Team Four is as follows: Feb 3rd: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Threading for Travel to Location | Threading for Objective OneObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

Just look at... the step you've gotta take next?
no subject
He had to believe they were doing to be okay.-
These white stones ahead... Do they look like crystals to you? -They were massive...-
no subject
Not sure. I'm not that great at identifying rocks.
[ He coughs at the odd scent wafting toward them on the wind. Yikes what is in this cave? It's warm and damp, and to his sensitive nose the warm draft stinks. Hopefully they can find the source of that light from before and leave asap. The others find their surroundings uncomfortable too, right? Their hearts are both still beating quickly, they must be itching to move along.
Is Kasen referring to one of the large stalagmites? Those things are huge and must be incredibly smooth judging by the way the sound waves bounce off of them so cleanly. ]
no subject
[Which is certainly true. Though admittedly he doesn't know a lot about rocks, but he doesn't think there are usually these many crystals lined up together. Who knows.]
Maybe it's special to this part of the world?

This air is pretty tank... There must be some kind of rotting plant matter further down or something. Maybe mold, more likely. Either way, I'd rather not stay here and breath it for long, and I think everyone will agree...
-He stared at the crystal formations. Between the smell, the softness of the ground, and the smell, he desperately wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. There had to be something that had created that flash...
Ah. In the distance, he could see it glitter. A gem with... a paw print?-
That... looks like our macguffin, gentlemen.
no subject
Not the easiest climb. Perhaps if one of us gives another a step up we can reach it. I wonder how well lodged it is in there.
no subject
I think both of you are taller than me. I can give you an ice boost if you need it.
no subject
And another. No, wait, that wasn't him at all. That... what was that? Kasen barely had time to process the thought before the vibration came again through the room, far more intense, accompanied by a deep, ear ringing sound that could only be described as a *roar*.
Kasen was thrown back by the force, crashing into the soft earth... no, it wasn't earth at all, was it? It was...-
What the hell is going on?!
no subject
[ Matt's thought is interrupted by the roar ringing in his ears and the next thing he knows the ground below is jerking. The foul odor is even stronger, making him cough again. What?
His head is rushing from that blast of noise. He reaches for the closest crystal and nearly slips. Concentrate! Concentrate! There's movement outside the cave, he can sense large limbs clawing at the cliff. Oh no. Sh- ]
We're in a mouth!
[ He'll never enter a cave without examining its shape again. If they survive. ]
no subject
There's not enough time for real panic, only action. He ices the dragon's mouth open and blocks off the back of its throat.]
Get the gem! Get the gem and let's get out!
no subject
But Shouto's voice manages to ring past his ears as the only human thing in the cacophony of monster noise, drawing his attention, pulling his focus back to the moment and the mission. The ice helped, too, literally cooling him down and pushing the rage back...-
Right! Let's have at it, then! -Kasen left his sword in placed and quickly dashed his way towards the gem, sliding to a stop and dropping to one knee, placing his hands in front of him.-
Use me to boost up! -He said to the masked man. He really needed to remember his name...-
no subject
Or possibly Gordon Ramsay. Long story.What's-his-name understands Kasen no problem thankfully. He draws out one of his escrima sticks and gives Kasen a nod, stepping up on his offered hands to be thrown upward. Kasen's strong lift is enough to send him flying upwards and he strikes the gem loose from the large teeth with his weapon. The gem bounces off the dragon's inner cheek and he catches it, tucking into a flip on the way down and landing successfully on his feet. The small splash of saliva when he lands makes the gymnastic feat less graceful than it would have been. ]
Got it! Let's go!
no subject
[Because as gross as being inside of a mouth is, Shouto's the one that's keeping the dragon from actually swallowing them. He sends out another wave of ice and gestures for the other two to get out first.
He doesn't ever want to be in a mouth again, thank you. But he's not risking anybody being eatedn by a dragon today.]
no subject
no subject
We're out! Shouto run!
[ He shoves the gem into the bag on his back while the dragon flails its limbs and tail in agony from the burn of the ice. ]
no subject
We need to go. That's going to follow us.

The higher ground is the advantage, go for the clouds.
no subject
His hands were trembling. He stumbled into the clouds.-
no subject
He feels some relief once they're back to the sky bridge and running up into the clouds. At least they're off that broken cliff side path. He'll take the cool and dense moist air against his face as a good sign. ]
no subject
... Unless they fall through clouds, because Shouto's not sure any of them can fly.]
no subject
Alright, then! If I can't run, then I'll have my revenge for that indignity, you behemoth!
Present your neck!
-Someone had better find them a path, and quickly.-
no subject
[ The climb ahead gets steeper but there's still solid footing ahead and beyond that he's sure, something at the end of the path. He needs to get closer to know what it is. Either way there's still a chance to lose the dragon without it coming down to whether or not Kasen can cut through those scales. He starts forward a ways and realizes that to the other two it must look like a field of billowing clouds; they might not even see how far the way ahead stretches. ]
Follow me. Hold on if you have to. [ He offers a hand. ]
no subject
We're not fighting a dragon today! We got what we needed!
[But at least Captain Woof can speak reason. Hopefully it manages to get through. The field of clouds is worrying, but there's no reason he'd lie about it.
So he grabs the back of Kasen's shirt with one hand and takes Woof's hand in the other.]
Lead.
