TEAM FOUR EVENT LOG
READY: START. Roster: Noah Isaacs + Gunther Schwarz, Gintaro Suzukaze + Elda Marker, Dave Strider + Byakuya Kirigiri, Shouto Todoroki + Akira Kurusu, Eren Jaeger + Yusuke Kitagawa, Soleil Beaufort + Vera Weisz, Alessandro Vinsmoke + Yu Narukami, Cleo Ritter + Minako Arisato, Penelope Raban + Olive Freya Yun, Orihime Inoue + Matthew Murdock, Ryouta Ono + Baren Kaiyou, Prompto Argentum + Keigo Higashino, Zaveid Taleb + Ragna Edgson, Amelia Wagner + Kasen Kaneda On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering at the Recollé Zoo and Aquarium. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a large bus with the Retrospec logo on the hood. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached. I'm no Ms. Frazzle, but I think this bus will do the trick. Hope you packed a book or something. Upon boarding the bus you'll find that's it's equipped for a longer road trip. There are snacks, books, video game consoles, and even a few beds and bathrooms. Just as well, seeing how you're going to be traveling north of the city, traveling through the woods for about seven hours. As you travel, the sky begins to change colors and the temperature drops toward the end of your journey. Outside the window you'll see a mountain range and snow on the ground, and stars streak across the sky as you enter the beautiful region of Magatus. ![]() Permanently semi-dark with beautiful colors streaking across the sky, Magatus is filled with rivers, grass, coniferous trees and snow-capped mountains. The temperature is quite frigid, so travelers will need to bundle up! The region known as Magatus is fairly open and while there may not a huge population like Recollé, there are small clusters of buildings and homes that characters can find by exploring this region. There is roughly 1,500 square miles to cover in the area claiming to be Magatus and some parts of this region may experiences changes in weather including heavy snow, ice, and blackouts. Most of the towns are quaint and friendly though most people appear to mind their own business. If spoken to, they will explain that they’ve been enjoying their time alone and away from the hustle and bustle of city life, though it may be a little hard to know if this is actually true. Some of the younger ones will say they’ve lived here their whole life, but most will shy away from the topic of where they came from. Shops that can be found seem to range in the realm of basic general stores, hardware stores, mini foodmarts, and weaponry. The Magatus people truly live a simple life. The true nature of this region doesn’t seem to come out until nightfall, however. As the light fades and the sky darkens, the colors brighten above and the sound of wolves begin howling nonstop. Depending, you may even hear the sound of snarling and growling, quick footsteps crunching through fresh snow and irritated barking. The townspeople know better than to stay out at night when the wolves run and the shadows dance, and they would advise that anyone from out of town take cover. Too bad they won’t invite you in. You’re on your own out in the wilderness. This is the Team Four Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.
Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner! People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following: -Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts. -Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are. -Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.) -Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur. These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want! Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions, Participation Reporting, NPC questions. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links. You must ICly tap into the log within the first 48 hours, or you will be removed from your team. If your activity is low per objective, the moderators may reach out to you about reassignment as well. The schedule for Team Four is as follows: Feb 3rd: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Threading for Travel to Location | Threading for Objective OneObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

I'll check things out from up above. You guys let me know if you see anything.
[She creates a series of glyphs in front of her, forming a staircase that rose into the sky above the forest. The visibility wouldn't be great, but hopefully she would at least get a glimpse of anything moving down below.]
no subject
Easiest place for us to a get a look, too.
[Knowing Pen as long as she has, Freya's more than used to the floating, and pushes off from Shiva's shoulder towards the outskirts of town.]
no subject
Yep.
[Moving through the snow without touching it is weird, but it works, and it's not long before they reach a house with no lights on.]
Okay, one of you get up there and check a window. I'll take another ground floor window, and have Shiva check for tracks.
no subject
If anything comes out of that house, Vera will see them coming.]
no subject
[Freya waves her hand and shakes her hand at Pen. Nothing on her end.]
no subject
And after a moment, shakes her head and heads back to meet up with the others]
Nothing.
[Shiva returns a moment later, looking grim.]
Human footprints that lead into the woods. But they just vanish. Shall we try another?
no subject
[Vera pokes her head over the side again, careful to keep her voice just high enough so that the others can hear her down below.]
You think the snow covered them up, or did something happen to the people making them?
no subject
no subject
[She's not exactly a tracker.]
But footprints don't just vanish and fill in like that.
I think we should check another house. See if that's a pattern. No point worrying about tracks we can't follow.
no subject
[Vera stands up, creating a bridge of glyphs that allow her to walk from one roof to the next.]
no subject
I don't like this. [She eyes the snowprints for a moment, as if she's considering following those, then kicks off towards the next house.]
no subject
[Pen follows along the bridge, Shiva nipping at her heels. when they hit the next house, she again sends the Yahri out searching, but there's something about this one that feels different. Maybe it's just her nerves, maybe it's a pirate's intuition, but...]
Alright, same pattern?

[A twinge of alarm passes through her link with Pen.]
[She turns back to her partner, making and urgent gesture for silence before stopping her movement against an old chair. Carefully, she reaches down to feel the deck floor. Unnatural grooves, rough but rounded, pulling the wood grain up in splints. Claw marks.]
[Freya clicks the Zodiac Spear open, pushing herself along with the butt of the spear. She touches against the wall lightly, and reaches out to try the knob. Locked.]
no subject
Peering into a window, feet steady on the glyph, she catches the glint of something silver in a patch of moonlight. Silver. Bullets? Satisfaction and a trickle of worry thrum through the link this time.
Well if that doesn't scream werewolf, nothing does. She immediately sets a course for the front.]
Found something. [She whispers.] You?
no subject
[The roof was fairly unremarkable, but the soot from the chimney suggested that the house had been used fairly recently.]
Say the word an I'll get us in.
no subject
[Freya briefly floats over to another window at the thrum of the link. Huh. Well, if silver's inside, the marks on the outside probably weren't good. She floats back to the door, gesturing Shiva over and nodding to Pen. Time for that silence spell.]
[It would be harder to do this while floating, so Freya braces against the ice spirit, wedges the Zodiac Spear under the lock, and drives the weapon upward. It takes her a moment to dislodge the spear from the jamb, but it's otherwise a simple matter from there to reach in and undo the chain.]
no subject
Pen grins at the sight of her girlfriend working, nodding as the hinges bend the way they aren't supposed to, but the magic muffle the noise, and in they can go. Shiva flits in first, nodding after a few heartbeats to confirm that they are, in fact, not breaking into a house with people or werewolves inside.]
Okay. Let's see what we can find.
no subject
[She steps down from the roof with a huff, careful not to let her feet touch the snow. The claw marks on the ground are concerning, especially considering the house was empty. But from the outside, there didn't look like there was a sign of a struggle. No marks in the snow, or damage to the door. Maybe whoever left these marks came from inside the house?
Her eyes are drawn instantly to the desk on the far side of the room. Whoever lived here used it often, judging by the melted candles. Also on the desk were a collection of notes and, more immediately concerning, a small pile of what looked like teeth. Or more accurately, fangs.]
Well that's... unsettling. [She picks up the notes, taking care not to touch the teeth, before skimming the first page.]
Details on moon phases, recorded dates of wolf attacks... whoever lived here was really interested in werewolves.
no subject
Guess our idea wasn't as original as we thought.
[She jokes, immediately going to the back of the cabin and checking any places not easily visible from the window. She does glance curiously at the teeth as she passes.]
Wolves seemed interested in this guy, too.
no subject
The howling grows louder and louder, and it makes her shiver worse than the cold. For a moment there's a flash of amusement, though. How ridiculous is this situation? Her, a YouTuber, hunting through a unibomber style shack for evidence of Werewolves. What was her life?]
I think we need to get moving fast. The wolves are getting more insistent. And I think we should rejoin the others soon. Take everything that seems relevant, I think. I can send Shiva on ahead to tell everyone, when we're ready to move.
no subject
Right.
[Vera gathers up the notes into as neat a pile as she can manage before stuffing them into her bag.]
Should we, um, bring the teeth?
no subject
Why not?
[She reaches out, scooping them up in her palm, squinting at them in the dim light.]
Don't see what it can hurt. But something about this's strange. Teeth don't break off like this. Our friend must've had some kinda reason for it.
no subject
[She waves a hand over to Shiva and begins to relay instructions on what to tell the others while they all move to catch up.
Werewolves. Actual werewolves...]
no subject
[Simple enough explanation.]
But whatever. Let's get back to camp before anyone realizes we're here.
