TEAM SNOW WHITE LOG
READY: START Team Snow White roster: Davey Jacobs, Eleanor Lamb, Fang, Kasen Kanesada, Malik Ishtar, Mari Ohara, Riku, Ritsu Kageyama, Ryoji Mochizuki, Toushiro Hitsugaya, Yuri Plisetsky. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of many bat wings... This is the Team Snow White Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!
The schedule for Team Snow White is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 1 Part TwoObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

[...Says the one throwing herself at yetis and hauling around mildewy camping supplies in an improvised tarp-backpack.]
[Freya adds a pile of broken pickaxes to the table, and starts using the axe-head of one to start hacking off the splintered handles.]
How've you been holdin' up?
no subject
[Said automatically, without looking up, as she examined the bits of a broken headlamp. At the second question, she set the lamp down but didn't turn around.]
Well, I just spent a week sleeping in a mine and eating scraps and now I'm in a restaurant in a swamp trying to fix a mining helmet. I'm cold, I'm tired, everything I'm wearing is wet and I miss my mom. And my bed. And my dog. And Yukiko.
[A beat.]
And I'd murder someone for a sandwich.
[Another beat.]
So, like I said. Fine.
no subject
We can fix three of those. Grab your project and come over here. [And Freya walks inside to the larger shack beside the kitchen.]

[Freya's tone brooks no argument.]
no subject
[And then she looked at Freya.]
What am I doing, exactly?
no subject
[She focuses, and gently, warmth starts seeping through Freya's back.] Can't do anything about your bed, or your dog, or your people, but at least those damned QR codes were good for something, yeah?
no subject
[And then, she had to admit, it did feel rather nice.]
You're like a portable space heater.
[She said, her voice slightly teasing.]
no subject
[She leans back a bit more against Eleanor. She's tired as hell, herself, and the less she has to hold herself upright, the better. Freya doubted she could maintain the warmth while sleeping.] Let me know if it gets too warm, yeah? Hopefully this'll help dry your clothes, too.
no subject
[Eleanor shifted faintly so Freya could relax, leaning forward a tad and beginning to work on her helmet again.]
Did it start when the convention center went all insane?
no subject
[Freya takes in a slow breath, focusing on spreading the heat out more evenly, trying to heat the air in the room as well.]
Pretty handy of you to fix those broken things up.
no subject
And it's kind of nice to be helpful without...you know...waving my magic powers around.
[She said 'magic powers' as if she still didn't entirely approve of them.]
no subject
[Plus, the jumping was kind of fun when she stuck the landings.]
You mind if I ask what you remember, before we woke up in that damned pit? [Her voice remains casual, despite the serious turn of topic.]
no subject
It was after the convention. I...wound up on the beach after fighting those monsters.
[She hesitates, and there's a noticeable shiver as the image of the spider splicers flashes through her head.]
Then...[Hm.] I'm not...sure.
no subject
Mm. Same story for me. That thing drained the ocean dry, then... carried off in the jaws of one of those monsters, and here we are. [Her thoughts drift briefly to her roommates and to Pen, and her own parents.]
Once your clothes are dry, you should get some shuteye. Never know when this's gonna change.
no subject
[Eleanor wasn't even sure she remembered a monster dragging her off. She had been talking to Ann and then...Mm. No sense dwelling on it now.]
Sleep isn't exactly the easiest thing to do right now.
[She returned her attention to her mining helmet, carefully replacing the last few wires inside the battery casing.]
no subject
Worried?
[She herself could sleep for what felt like days, but Freya's been fighting off a lot of things. Her ribs still ached with every moment, courtesy of that yeti.]
no subject
[The wires slipped into place as she spoke, and her voice grew a little quieter.]
If we get back.
no subject
We've held it together so far. And I'm not just talkin' about the mine; think about everything Retrospec's thrown at us. We're gonna find our way back, and take everyone with us.
no subject
[Eleanor said this with a small laugh, which was better than the dark tones in her voice a moment earlier, though they weren't gone either.]
I hope you're right. We just haven't had much luck stopping anything else retrospec has done.
Though I'll admit this feels more like a game than anything else has. And if it is, we can win it.
no subject
After those caves, with next-to-no-food and an abominable snowman? We'll coast through this. [She half-heartedly waves a hand in the direction of the river outside the storage shack.]
no subject
[Teasing, it seemed, was easier than really dwelling on the situation. But she was grateful for what Freya was saying. It was nice to hear a little optimism.]
no subject
Don't think optimism is the right word. I guess it's more... determination. Like I won't accept anything less than seein' everyone again.
no subject
I suppose we're lucky you're here, then.
