WHEN: Month of July
WHAT: Bingo etc
WARNINGS:

hailingjavelin There are some open prompts below in the entry, and his bingo card is over here. ]
Park; all month
[ At random points in the month, Koutarou goes to the park to sketch. He sits under a tree, or on a bench, or in the middle of the grass, and as time passes he might end up filling the one he’s working in and puts it aside to use the pages in another. ]
The Inkwell; Primarily 3-8
[ Every night during his sister’s so called “visit” he goes to The Inkwell. It’s not like he gets drunk because his tolerance is seriously high, and he knows to be careful so he won’t get a hangover. Of course he’s sketching again, but that doesn’t need to stop you. He’ll look up if he’s addressed, and sometimes he’ll also pause to order another drink or stare out blankly ahead of him, where he sits at the counter. ]
Wildcard
[ Whatever you like. Grab one of the not-taken prompts (depending, you might want to shoot me a message; or write if you want the square in the subject line), or if we have anything planned, post a comment here, or if you just want someone to throw one of your own squares at. I can set something up as well, if you'd prefer that. ]

For Yuri
But the idea of drawing a portrait or something else for a person while they watch might work, so he intends to go with that. But then he needs to find someone who would be alright with that. And he thinks it might be necessary for it to be another Retrospec user, so he thinks that maybe keeping a look out for someone he knows is on Retrospec would be a good thing.
And after a while he spots a vaguely familiar blond. They have met once before, a long time ago now, but that was a very brief meeting. The time they spoke over the app was brief as well. And though the boy saw his pictures, he didn't actually see him drawing them, as far as Koutarou knows. ]
Excuse me... You're... Yuri-kun, wasn't it? Hi, I hope I'm not bothering, we met once before, with the cats..?
no subject
In the park? Yeah, sure. What's up?
( there's a squint to his eyes at first, as if he's suspecting he's being called out for something he has yet to catch up on. then again, he knows by now there's a set of people he keeps running into that are tied up in the whole of Retrospec and the oddities aligned with it.
it's not the worst kind of binding, he guesses, but it leaves him off center in how suspicious to be of the world at large. settling on being relatively inoffensive is simple, so he does it; he doesn't know this guy well enough to be pre-emptively irritated. times when his youth doesn't just shine through as anger and jaded holding people at a distance. relative strangers are easier, up until they have expectations or demands on him that he didn't want to handle. )

So he goes to Pizza Port, because it's very unusual for him to go there, or to any pizza place for that matter, because he rarely eats pizza. But sometimes it's a nice change of pace and the pace recently has been sort of insane. As is normal for him, he has his sketchbook up and is sketching while waiting for his pizza to get made. ]

For Togusa
But he caved and arranged to have him meet her without the rest of her family around. Mainly because Koutarou actually likes his niece and nephew well enough, despite not really meeting them in person very much at all. This specific niece had been born about a year before Koutarou left Japan, so he had helped babysitting her sometimes, though unfortunately the nephew is the heir to the dojo because he’s the oldest of Koutarou’s father’s grandsons.
He thought that bringing them to a restaurant that has some a little more private sections for people. It’s traditionally Japanese, a teppanyaki place simply called "Teppan Yaki", where there both are tables where show-off chefs can fry your food, and more private areas where you can fry your own food. Koutarou booked a table, requesting on off in a corner. He has showed Kayoko there, and found the table which has a frying pan in the middle and tools to the side, and they only have to wait for Togusa to show up and Koutarou is very, very nervous about this whole thing. ]
no subject
Togusa is, as usual, precisely on time. He's just about never early, was doing something right up until the moment he came in. In this case, it was getting his head straight. Focus on what Kouarou wants. Koutarou wants to just get through this visit without incident. Getting a better answer about what she thinks of Koutarou would be very satisfying to Togusa, but would upset the precarious balance that Koutarou feels he has with his family. Togusa won't go on the offensive, but he also won't sit silently by if she is insistent on adding to Koutarou's misery.
Togusa arrives, dressed in that same suit he brushed off for his first date with Gentiana. He has a warm smile for Koutarou, an attempt to set his friend at ease, before he is on his best behavior. Instantly into Japanese, with a slight bow. "Koutarou, good to see you. Hitori Togusa, good to meet you, miss."

zoo
he's planning on killing two birds with one stone today. he has to find some sucker at the zoo to pet a rabbit with him, which shouldn't be too hard. he'll probably grab a random kid or something?? they like petting animals right?? but he figures he might as well cross off another one of the stranger squares that's on the easier side of completion.
he sits down at a bench and pulls out his phone before punching in a random phone number. the bingo card didn't specify just how long he has to talk on the phone for this, so he's hoping it can be short as hell.
anyway. koutarou is getting a phone call right about now. ]
no subject
Koutarou is at the petting zoo with a goat leaning over him, it’s head on his shoulder, and he’s sketching. The sound on his phone is quiet, but the buzz alerts him, and he finds and he does not recognize the number. ]

wildcard - nail painting and item stealing ;)
Stealing Seto's card wouldn't be that difficult, if Seto weren't constantly busy working on things for the convention. Fai's hardly seen him since his birthday a couple weeks ago. So Koutarou it is! Besides, it seems like a good excuse to visit and hang out with his friend~
So here's Fai at Koutarou's door at some random point, completely unannounced, with coffee and donuts as a peace offering.]

wildcard - roasting marshmallows over the open fire
He almost headed home, but then he spotted a large bonfire further down the beach--communal, by the looks of it. And while James isn't one for these sorts of things himself, he thinks about the bingo card and remembers there's something about marshmallows on there.
So, he makes his way over, picking up a suitable marshmallow-roasting twig as he goes, and starts circling the bonfire in search of marshmallows. Because surely, somebody brought some. ]
no subject
So he brought marshmallows and just found a good stick to use, when he spots a lonely person circling the fire. ]

With a hectic month, partially very stressful, it's good to just be with friends sometimes. But some of the things that's been going on has only made him think about complicated things more, things both with his family, and with the Other Koutarou. ]

For Togusa
So when Togusa wakes up the next morning, Koutarou sure is asleep on the couch where he usually sleeps when he stays over, but once he opens the fridge he may notice an unusual amount of googly eyes staring at him. Because Koutarou stuck them onto every egg, every milk carton, every vegetable--and also on all the spoons and forks and glasses etc. On every loose item put away in a cupboard or on a shelf, really.
Hope you like your food staring at you early and bright in the morning. ]
Re: For Togusa
Togusa tiptoes out to at least grab a coffee, he's intending to wait until Koutarou is up so they can get breakfast together. And then he opens the fridge door.
And stops.
Togusa reaches up to rub his own eyes to make absolutely sure he isn't just still asleep, but his milk is staring back at him. And so is his coffee. Even the takeout container right front and center.
He claps a hand over his mouth to stifle a snicker, and closes his fridge door to look at Koutarou with a very impressed expression. All right, all right. No no, he's got this.
Then he turns around and looks at the coffee maker, and the coffee pot is staring back at him with a pair of googly eyes stuck in different directions, and Togusa loses it. It's so funny and unexpected. Loud peals of laughter are undoubtedly going to wake Koutarou up.
