Park; all month
[ At random points in the month, Koutarou goes to the park to sketch. He sits under a tree, or on a bench, or in the middle of the grass, and as time passes he might end up filling the one he’s working in and puts it aside to use the pages in another. ]

The Inkwell; Primarily 3-8
[ Every night during his sister’s so called “visit” he goes to The Inkwell. It’s not like he gets drunk because his tolerance is seriously high, and he knows to be careful so he won’t get a hangover. Of course he’s sketching again, but that doesn’t need to stop you. He’ll look up if he’s addressed, and sometimes he’ll also pause to order another drink or stare out blankly ahead of him, where he sits at the counter. ]

No, they don't. They take photos for that.

[ Drawing the blood would only make it more morbid.

He makes a motion toward the ground. ]

Down with you now.

[Welp. He does as he's told, lying down nearby to Koutarou's outline.]

Oh. Right. That makes sense. And I guess it would make a mess on the ground.

Um...any pose I should take, or...?

Yeah, it would.

[ He shakes his head, and crouches to draw lines around him. ]

Hmm, no, I think normal is fine.

[starfruitfrog]

[But...what is normal? So Sato lies does as straight as he can, ignoring the fact that the ground is much too hard and a pebble is digging into his elbow.]

Okay. Normal.

[A beat, and then:] What's the point of all this, anyway? Besides using it to get bingo, that is.

[ He could just tell him about the pebble... ]

I don't know, really. [ He walks around him to get to his other side so he can finish the lines. ] Isn't trying to get bingo enough, in some cases?

[starfruitfrog]

I guess. [He's the guy who spent hours collecting acorns to get a 100% completion rate in the last game he played, so.]

But why have us do all this, then? Just for fun?

[wordcarvings]

There could also be for the sake of frustrating us, at some points.

[ He finally connects the end of the line with the start of it. ]

There, done.

Well, I don't find it frustrating, so they failed.

[Now that he's done though, Sato gets up, finally able to brush the pebble away.]

Huh. These actually look pretty good, don't they?

I suppose that they did.

[ Well, there are some things that are frustrating about it. ]

They're certainly eye-catching.

Kind of like modern art.

[He even takes out his phone and snaps a pic while he's at it.]

[ He chuckles. Well, that’s one way of seeing it. ]

Do you think so? Maybe it is.

[starfruitfrog]

It is?

[Huh. He's become part of creating a piece of modern art.]

We can do that?

Hm? You mean create modern art?

[starfruitfrog]

Well, yeah. Isn't it just artists?

Well. I am an artist. But I don’t think it’s necessary to be a professional artist. To be honest though, this might be more interactive...something, rather than modern art....By the way, should we move? This is very incriminating.

[starfruitfrog]

Oh. Uh. Yeah, we probably should move.

[Like...maybe right now? Because people are looking at them. Sato takes a step and then two, putting his hands nonchalantly into his pockets.]

So it's like performance art?

[wordcarvings]

[ Koutarou follows, falling in step with him and ignoring the looks they get. It’s not like people don’t stare at him sometimes anyway, so it’s no big deal. ]

Sort of, at least a little bit. Art can be a complicated subject in discussion, and in vision or other things, though.

[Looking like you haven't done anything wrong is the best plan.]

...I'm not sure I understand what that means. So art means different things to different people?
