[ her efforts are admirable but unfortunately, souji had his hand right over it so he snatches it away immediately. he then holds it above his head, as high as his arm will let him so he can keep it out of her reach (he's 5'11" btw so that cat is pretty high up) ]

[ Souji nods in agreement and just cancels the trip on his phone. Of course, he gets hit with a $5 cancellation fee so that hurts... but when Mako mentions the pricing with the uber, he looks down at his phone and goes through his uber history. When he sees the price, he almost double takes. ]

... It didn't say anything about surge pricing when I called it.

[ Oh my god, why did this happen... ]

Let's just try to catch the bus first and sit down...

[ So then they can sit and talk about it but ah! Look, isn't that their bus right there? It looks like it's about to leave! ]

[this was like being in the hands of an angry god. someone, somewhere, had decided that they were not going to have a good day at all. How were they ever supposed to discover if they could leave or not, with luck like this?]

[and of course, the rain increases-- just in time to make it hard to see more than a foot ahead of them.

That at least helps with the mud, right? But Mako can faintly hear the doors slam shut on the bus, and its wheels start rolling.

He frowns.

He folds his arms.

Then he shoots a Look at Souji.]

You are some serious bad luck.

[ ...? What was that? Did Yu want to say something? Souji frowns slightly at the change of subject but he doesn't pursue it. If it's something important, Yu will eventually say it, right? Right... ]

The sooner is better. Perhaps tomorrow.

[ He would suggest tonight but... he didn't really expect this conversation about their new Persona to go by so smoothly and quickly. Now that he's here, sitting down with his brother, he should go through with it. He should bring up what he really wanted to talk about. ]

... Yu, have you received any memories yet with the two of us?

[ They've discussed before that they've never seen each other in their memories, almost like the other didn't even exist. Since then, Souji still hasn't received anything different and he needs to confirm with Yu before he brings up his theory. ]

Nah, I had a friend help me with this, at least, most of the painting and outer design stuff anyways. [ Shin has a friend??? WOW. Either ways- ]

Take a seat, man. You look as if you haven't slept properly in days.

[ At the very least Shin's perceptive enough to notice that. ]

[ He's going to gear up for what seemed to be a hard slap, and swings his left hand.

Only to stop right as he was about to hit Souji, and rests his left palm gently on Souji's face instead.

[ souji tends to be pretty good at keeping a straight face and to stay calm but even he cannot be prepared to have a bucket of cold water suddenly dumped on him. he nearly jumps up but the water quickly piles into his hole and brings down all the sand, essentially sticking him in place... ]

[ In Recolle Park, Souji has somehow managed to convince Mako to come out carolling with him to an entire public audience (that being whoever decided to stroll through the park). This should be good. ]

[ The problem with dating Yu is that you're going to always interact with his great and amazing older brother, Souji, who is much more zanier than Yu. Sorry Yosuke, but this is now your life. You're now stuck with rickrolling your boyfriend with his brother right outside their dorm window. This is what you're going to be doing forever now. ]

C'mon, I'm sure he'll love it.

[ Souji has been doing decently well on his bingo sheet. He's a pretty silly kind of guy so a lot of the things on his list don't really bother him but this one... attacking a stranger like a shark in the pool... now that one is a bit harder. He doesn't want to exactly hurt someone accidentally during this and the consequences of this bingo square is a lot more than purposely calling up a stranger over the phone, but he has to go through with it. If he can gain as many clues as possible through this bingo sheet then he needs to finish it, no matter how difficult it may be. ]

[ So here he is at the local pool, just silently apologising to whoever has the bad luck of crossing his path while he lurks underwater for when someone does pass by, he suddenly jumps out and puts his hands on the other person's shoulders to pull them down into the water with him. He's trying to do this in a way he doesn't have to leap onto a person but there's no real easy way to attack someone like a shark in a pool. Sorry if you get water up your nose, Ami. ]

I tend to be awake throughout the night so you should have your people call my people anytime from 2am to 5am. That's when I'm most productive.

[ Souji hasn't given up trying to chase after the bus once the rain started pouring down harder. No driver wants to be out right now and they probably can't even see Mako and Souji in their mirrors. He just... accepts his defeat. ]

Why am I the one with the bad luck? Maybe it's you.

No, he had a perfectly good life bef-- nevermind. Maybe there is some possibility that it's him spreading all the bad luck.

[ Ah.

The way Yu flinches is subtle and very small, and probably most people who know him wouldn't be able to pick up on it. But Souji will know. Because they're twins, and the way he flinches hasn't changed from when he was a little kid and they were trying to hide secrets from their mother. Just a tiny little twitch of his shoulders.

But it's probably enough.

After a long, unhappy pause which he spends staring at the table, he shakes his head, his expression blank. ]

[ Shin's right about that. Souji hasn't been sleeping as well as he's supposed to for the past few days and it shows. He's been trying his best to pass it off as if he's been staying up like an irresponsible teenager enjoying his summer break but those who have known him as long as Shin would know that he's not that kind of person. ]

Yeah, I... [ He sighs and sits down on the couch, taking the same space and position as he did the last time he was here, resting his head in his hands. ] ... I think you were right. About the reincarnation theory.

[ A DEEP BREATH in and out.

This time, he actually does kind of smack his twin with his own hand. It's still not hard, but this time the contact actually makes a sound. It's a slap, even if it's the weakest possible slap.

At which point he'll drop Souji's hand like it's burned him, red in the face from discomfort and uncertainty. ]

[ Shin's not plopping down besides Souji this time, as he goes back to work at this diorama. He'll go to Souji the moment he feels Souji needs someone besides him, but right now, he's going to listen at least. ]

That you two were actually the same person? Did you get a new memory?
