(open) rough seas will be calm
WHO: Jaeger (eventually) and you!
WHERE: Dreamscapes.
WHEN: 8/25.
WHAT: Dreamdives!
WARNINGS: Suicidal implications, threads are warned accordingly.
[You find yourself on a grassy plain. It's nighttime, and while this whole thing is probably incredibly surreal, the scenery is at least peaceful. You can see a dark building ahead of you.
If you look behind you, you'll notice that there's a large, thick forest. Listening for a moment will tell you that there's plenty of wildlife there, and it doesn't sound happy to see you. It's probably not a good idea to head that direction. But hey, if you really want to, there's nothing stopping you.
If you choose to approach the building, you'll hear the distant sound of waves crashing, but otherwise all is silent. It would almost be serene, if not for the ominous look of the building. It appears to be a very large manor. There are plenty of lights on inside despite the late hour, which gives you a little more light to see the building itself. For some reason there are massive chains decorating the left side of the building that don't actually seem to be there for any specific purpose, and above that are flags for... some reason. The whole thing is kind of an experience, and the gloomy atmosphere and isolated nature of the house probably aren't doing much to make you feel at ease.
Since the manor is most likely where you're headed, you might want to get a bit closer to the front door to check it out. Be careful, though - you won't be able to get too close without two guards spotting you. They're dressed in yellow uniforms complete with masks that hide the upper halves of their faces. They don't exactly look friendly; one of them has a crossbow in hand and the other has some kind of large daggers that look like they're attached to the back of his hands.
You'll find that there's a solid wall around the perimeter of the manor; you can hide here for a moment if you'd like. Climbing over the wall seems to be out of the question given the height of it and the spikes on top.
How do you want to proceed?]

As for the weapons... there are a lot of them? There's an alarming amount of weapons here, actually. They're spread out on the table so you can see all of them, it's not like someone just dumped them all here or anything.
The different types of weapons on display are as follows: swords, greatswords, axes, battleaxes, knives, staves, chains, scarves...?, spears, bows, crossbows, and those knives the guard had. There's more than one of each type of weapon, so again, that's a lot of weapons. They all look brand new and each of them are different - unlike the (rather plain) sword you picked up, these are almost all unique and interesting.]

Otherwise, might as well check out the clothes?]
no subject
The clothes are actually very familiar - they're the uniforms Jaeger received not all that long ago from Retrospec. The yellow one in the center is what all the guards have been wearing here, but there's also the dark blue one on the left and the white one on the right.
...Strangely enough, they appear to be in your size.]

anyway, now that he looks good and stupid, time to go back...out there, i guess? hopefully the guy he knocked out before he could deliver the plot isn't dead or anything, might as well continue down into the next door on the right.]

The second door on the right leads you into somewhere very familiar - it's Leviathan's Claw! The shop, not the guild. The transition is probably a bit jarring because this doesn't look like it belongs in the manor at all, it's like you've quite literally stepped into Jaeger's shop.
Everything looks exactly as it always does, the shelves are arranged with a variety of strange and unique items and the whole place feels just as familiar as always. You won't find anything too interesting or out of the ordinary on the shelves, so do you want to check further back?]

no subject
Everything looks mostly the same in the back - there's the door to the back room and uh... hang on, was there always a chest right next to the door? No, definitely not, that's new.]

no subject
You'll find a lot of items inside - the two on the top appear to be photo albums. Do you want to start with the one on the left or the one on the right? Or you know, ignore them and dig through the chest, whatever.]

Most of the pictures show Jaeger with at least one of his siblings, though there are a lot of them. Six, in fact! The earliest pictures show him with four other siblings, though later on the other two start showing up. There are also plenty of pictures of Jaeger with an older woman who is probably his mom, given the striking resemblance and the fact that she's almost always smirking. Apparently that just runs in the family...?? His dad is only in a few pictures, but he seems much more serious and stoic.
Keep flipping through?]
no subject
Yes, of course.]
no subject
There are also quite a few pictures of Jaeger with a woman. She was probably pretty beautiful, but her face has been blacked out in every single picture she appears in, even if it's a group shot.
That's all there is to this one. Move on to the next one?]
