WHO: Elda & her dates (Mariko Kawaguchi and Albert Wesker)
WHERE: Some lovely little restaurants in Tisse, and maybe other places later on; I'm not in charge of your threads here
WHEN: Evening time; Tuesday, December 5th for Mariko, and Thursday, December 7th for Wesker
WHAT: Blind dates! Despite Elizabeth setting this all up, she's actually nowhere to be found.
WARNINGS: None, probably

The wine arriving draws his attention over, and the question holds it; he doesn't seem troubled by it, per se, though he doesn't seem to have expected it any, either - any hesitance in answering is more through just trying to work out how he wants to phrase it, because it's sort of...]
I was removed from an unfortunate situation as a child, and adopted some time later. 'Albert Wesker' was the name given to me by the authorities, since I wasn't capable of giving them my name at the time and no records of me existed stateside.
'Noah Isaacs' is presumably the name I was originally given. It wasn't something I'd thought about in a long time, until Retrospec felt the need to list it on the app.

She ended up focused on the Mask Man thing at the time, but to think there's that sort of parallel? She tilts her head, but ultimately she just nods, looking down at the glass as she gently spins it. No records stateside, been here since he was ten. An unfortunate childhood.
... God, it really had been too much for him this whole time, hadn't it? ]
It really is an odd choice on their part, when you think of it. Both for yourself and for Silver.
no subject
[He knows about Silver, to some extent; not...all the details, but a fair amount. Enough to know it's similar, at the very least.]
no subject
[ Or so he'd said. ]
no subject
[...
That...what? He's not entirely sure how to quantify Spencer in that regard, it's...]
...The person that was responsible for my upbringing, I suppose.

She was just named Elda Marker, like me. The only complication I can think of is that her grandchildren changed the name to Maaka.
[ . . . Wait, out loud tht doesn't sound very different, does it uh- ] With an actual kanji, I mean.
no subject
...I'd be interested in hearing more about her sometime.

[ She spins the glass with the wine in it. It's still so tasteless. ]
As near as I can tell, she was born in northern France or somewhere else in Europe,, and then that whole affair you saw in the fog happened. She went to Japan, and then lived most of her life there.
no subject
[He still doesn't know what to say, regarding the incident in the fog; it's...offering condolences seems odd, and he isn't sure what else he should think of that. But...well.]
...You know I'm willing to hear anything you'd like to talk about, don't you?

... What we ran away from - those fires? The reason I wanted to go back was that her family... my family? [ ... ] Father, mother, uncle, and my little brother all died there. She at the time thought they escaped to the woods, but... they must've. Everyone was dying around then.
[ It's disjointed, but she has... a small amount of context. ]
no subject
...I'm sorry.
[About...you know. Everything, kind of.]
no subject
[ ... ]
Anyway, after that, she moved to Japan.

[ . . . ]
At the very least she had a son and then later grandchildren, and they all seemed to be safe and healthy from what I've seen? But she clearly still held on to a lot of hatred from that time.
[ . . . ]
She tried to beat this one girl to death because... I'm not sure why really, but I think it related to that stuff with the fires somehow.

no subject
No, no, I know. Honestly, most of those memories aren't so bad.
[ Mmm. Wine... ]
... This sounds so stupid, but almost the worst of it is that I think she was married most of her life to the same man.
no subject
[There are several ways that could go, after all.]
no subject
I'm jealous of myself and that's stupid.
no subject
Right, that's...what the hell does he even say to that? There's an entire glass in front of him to occupy his fingers with, just kind of toying with it a little bit while he considers, and that's just...]
I doubt it's much consolation to you, but I believe I had perhaps one acceptable relationship back then. Not the one with Excella, that was something else entirely... But one that was more or less normal. It wasn't very long-lived, however, and the rest were either strange or nonexistent.
no subject
[ But he was so handsome and it felt like she married young and she got to have a bio-son and bio-grandchildren and... ]
You don't need to console me when I'm being silly.
[ The Excella thing though... yeah, shit. ]

In happier news... Silver asked me to draw up adoption papers. I'm still working that out now.
[ It's a little pointless other than to streamline inheritance because he's eighteen, but it... means a lot to her. ]
no subject
[Huh.]
It's good to hear it, at any rate - I'm happy for you, Elda. It should be good for both of you.
[As always, it's understated, though it isn't insincere.]
no subject
[ She laughs a little. ]
... Have you seen his monsters? They're incredibly impressive looking.

He comes over from time to time; I think he's determined to ensure that I leave the house at least a few times a month.
