WHO: Elda & her dates (Mariko Kawaguchi and Albert Wesker)
WHERE: Some lovely little restaurants in Tisse, and maybe other places later on; I'm not in charge of your threads here
WHEN: Evening time; Tuesday, December 5th for Mariko, and Thursday, December 7th for Wesker
WHAT: Blind dates! Despite Elizabeth setting this all up, she's actually nowhere to be found.
WARNINGS: None, probably
[ top levels will have the dates! have fun c: ]

In happier news... Silver asked me to draw up adoption papers. I'm still working that out now.
[ It's a little pointless other than to streamline inheritance because he's eighteen, but it... means a lot to her. ]
no subject
[Huh.]
It's good to hear it, at any rate - I'm happy for you, Elda. It should be good for both of you.
[As always, it's understated, though it isn't insincere.]

[ She laughs a little. ]
... Have you seen his monsters? They're incredibly impressive looking.

[...]
He comes over from time to time; I think he's determined to ensure that I leave the house at least a few times a month.

[ . . . She might have drunk too much wine too fast and the moment she realizes it she then throws back some water to stabilize. ]
That thing's gotten so much bigger over time - the alligator, I mean.
no subject
You know, Wesker usually doesn't drink much in public, but at this point just. It sounds like a good idea to at least have some of it, that's a thing we're doing now that we have moved on from awkward backstory things. Yes. Excellent. Wine. ...God, it doesn't taste like anything- ]
It has, alarmingly so.

[ HOW DOES THAT WORK? ]
no subject
[...I mean. He thinks it's awesome? But he's got no fear response and likes giant-ass creatures, so.]
no subject
[ . . . ]
But seriously, how was that a fish?

Mmm. The whole thing is so strange, but then the world must be based around all that, so...

It sounds like a natural thing, at least, as opposed to anything humans are inducing. Which is a fascinating thing to think about, in its own way.
no subject
... Mmm.
I think I ought to sit down with him and just learn more about them.

[...]
Not just from an objective standpoint, necessarily; he seems to enjoy talking about them.
no subject
[ She shakes her head, sighing. You know, this - ]
... So Albert, have you been working on anything interesting lately?
no subject
My interest has been with vaccines lately.
[And that's kind of TAKE A WILD GUESS AS TO WHY but hey, at least he's being productive with it.]
It's proving to be more worthwhile than I'd initially thought; I'm pleased with current progress, at any rate.

[ She does have some medical background, even if she ... like only has a mostly complete nursing degree and experience as a phlebotomist. She won't keep up with the technicals, but she does seem genuinely interested. ]
no subject
It's largely still in development; I haven't moved to testing yet. But it seems promising.
no subject
Oh of course, of course. That sort of testing would be risky to do too soon. [ Mmm ] Are you planning on targeting vaccination for anyone particular virus, or just testing for general stimulation right now?
no subject
[Seriously, this is either going to work out reasonably well or it's going to be a trainwreck, but you know what, sure.]
It's something I've been working with for some time now; if it works out, then it does. If not... Well, I find it worth the attempt.
no subject
[ She ... okay she's going to pour back in a little wine, the water is working to stabilize her. ]
I sometimes think about going back and finishing out the degree. Or take some classes or sit in on more lectures or seminars. Maybe even going for med school proper, but ... the time never felt right and it's not like I need to, and the more this city goes crazy the less proper the timing feels.

[He tries really hard to not think about the people that used to be connected but aren't anymore, and it's rare for him to bring it up; it's not as close to him as it was to Elda, given Toushiro, but at the same time... Nngh.]
no subject
[ She nods. Actually, getting some more medical expertise... God, ]
Which one? I know Dr. Sutcliffe is still poking around... so... ah, that other man?
