WHO: Sakura Tohsaka, YOU
WHERE: Recollé Park, the Leviathan's Claw
WHEN: 9.22.17
WHAT: Either Sakura's drawing your character as a fantasy trope or she's telling you ghost stories to sell wares. This girl's got shit to do.
WARNINGS: Maybe vague mentions of monster horror in her drawings/stories, but otherwise none!
I. Draw Me Like Your French Girls, Senpai
[There's only so long Sakura will allow herself to skimp out on drawing practice, so come Friday she heads out of her apartment early, art supplies carefully tucked underneath her arm in a pink tote bag. To her luck, she lives within walking distance of Recollé Park, and with the brisk morning air to clear her thoughts, she's in the proper mindset once she settles on the dew-dropped grass. For what exactly?
Well, that's where everyone else comes in. You might feel a pair of eyes on you, stranger, in the form of a young woman sneaking glances before her hand winds around her drawing pad. Though she'll do her best to avoid eye-contact, it's pretty obvious what she's doing. The real question is who is she drawing.
You?
Maaaaaybe.
For anyone bold or annoyed enough to demand an answer or steal a peek, they'll see Sakura's gotten creative with her people watching. She's not just drawing who she sees; between the gesture drawing and expression studies, she's traded normal outfits for a more fantastical flair, reimagining everyone as D&D characters. Perhaps she's decided you make a fine-looking Barbarian, Miss, or the person over yonder is looking particularly Rogue-ish today. And for the truly unfortunate among you -- Sakura did you just draw that poor dude getting eaten by the Kraken?
There sure are a lot of monsters in this sketchbook.]
II. I Wouldn't Turn Around If I Were You
[And after she inevitably loses her nerve and vows never to draw in public again--
It's work time! Specifically at the Leviathan's Claw, here to serve all your weird nicknack and supernatural needs. At first it seems no one's manning the front until you wander further in, and a smiling face pops up right behind you, esteemed customer.]
Ah, how may I be of service to you? Oh but please speak quietly -- [Voice in a whisper, she leans in with a hand half-covering her mouth. Her expression is dead serious.]
I haven't yet caught our Kuchisake-onna, and it's best you not see her without her mask on...
III. Wildcard
[What weirdness do you wanna see? I am here to make all dreams come true. Just PM me or leave a prompt, I will follow along.]

[ooc: For the first prompt, let me know if you prefer I RNG what Sakura draws your character as, or if you have a specific outfit you'd like seen!]

So he only gets a glance by accident. And while he doesn't want to say anything and acknowledge that he saw, the thought bubbles strike again.]
My scythe is bigger than that.

[Yikes, that answer just pops right out of her mouth, an unbidden question aimed at Shuji's thought bubble. Her face colors a bit when she realizes what's she's said, but... well.
If it's a detail easily corrected--]
Ah, sorry. I guess I never considered their size.
no subject
It's okay. Yours is about the size I'd expect from a farming-equipment scythe, but mine's three feet at the very least.

I, go ahead and rng
It's just part of being a model in the first place, eyes are always on him to ensure quality shots, he does have a contingency of fans, things like that. It doesn't make it any less unnerving outside of the workplace or his usual hangout spots though, and he careful glances about for who it could be.
Sakura's a good suspect. But he waits a little bit to see if she glances his way every time, even when he moves around a bit in the area, before boldly approaching and acting as if he's just passing her when his eyes shift down to see what she's drawing.]
omg I'm so sorry
You have been assigned the role of ... Half-orc Sorcerer??? Yikes.
That said, Sakura has decided to keep the more delicate features of his face, especially around the eyes and cheekbones. Some things have been changed, however: larger nose, pointed ears, HUGE neck and shoulders muscles in the expression studies. And those are definitely fangs peeking out from his mouth.
But it's his outfit that's the true Christmas Miracle. The drawing boasts a long robe with intricate detail work embedded into the seams, which isn't bad... Sakura just completely jumps off the rails and gives Goro a big-ass wizard's hat that clearly doesn't fit the rest of the aesthetic.
Though given her amused smile, someone's just having fun.]
PLEASE DON'T BE
Having fun, miss?
[There's no trace of annoyance, just... amusement. Hi, Sakura, your model is here.]

She jumps a little when Sakura pops up behind her, but she's smiling when she looks over—she is going to be equally quiet when she speaks, too. Hand covering her mouth and all. Very serious, this. ] Is that so? Then I'll make certain to make as little noise as possible...
[ ... ]
What is a Kuchisake-onna though, if you don't mind my asking?
cw: abuse and mutilation. Folklore version BUT STILL.
[Sakura's eyes dart to the side, dropping with sympathy as she continues]
She was very proud of her beauty, I heard, and had many affairs. Well, her husband was a very... temperamental man. When trying to leave him for good, he flew into a rage and cut her mouth from ear to ear. [Demonstrated by Sakura taking her index finger and drawing it across her face like a wide, grotesque smile] Mocked her, too, before she took the knife and killed him.
Now her spirit refuses to be seen without a mask. Elsewise she might ask if you think she's pretty, and take her grudge out on you if she doesn't get the answer she wants.
no subject
I see. That is rather sad... Would she be against a bag instead, as that would be harder to lose?
[ ...that would just make her creepier ngl ]

Still, he feels someone looking at him - and glances straight towards the girl with the drawing pad.]
no subject
I mean, a cute girl like her would not be doing anything nefarious. That's definitely not a drawing pad in her lap.]

Kurt notices her reaction, and that smile. He's not sure what's going on, but she... seems to be reacting to him?
So he smiles in turn, waves meekly and tentatively starts to approach her.]

He has appeared to not notice Sakura up until now, though he certainly has - approaching at polite speaking distance, his expression quietly observant. ]
Do you draw people, or nature?
no subject
To be honest, she's glad he hasn't left the area yet. His music had been quite soothing, perfect for drawing, and she offers a small smile to him.]
People, definitely. I know I should practice, but my stick figures look more impressive than my trees.
no subject
[ Perhaps a strange question from a middle-aged looking man - but it's fielded with plain honesty and curiosity. He is not averse to approaching unfamiliar people, trusting in his open intentions to show. ]

[Yo boss man. Sakura pretends she didn't nearly jump out of her skin and climb the shelves once he materializes behind her.]
I'm enjoying it... though I should... probably tone it back? Two customers got so nervous they left before I could sell them anything.

[ She was more surprised by Tohsaka-san coming up to her really unexpectedly rather than any reported supernatural sightings. Her eyes widen cause woo, definitely wasn't expecting that. ]
Um...
[ Sakura speaks quietly, her voice just above a whisper. ]

The awkward hand wave gets her attention, at least... and since it's Silver, she dips her head in a tilt before smiling and waving him over, if he feels like moving.

normally she's not that nosy (or at least not that nosy in a way where she interacts with people that much) but... ]
...Did he say something untoward to you...?
no subject
[So lost in her own drawing that Sakura startles at the other girl's sudden presence, and her gaze bounces between her picture and the girl's face. It takes a moment before she remembers the question.]
Oh! No, nothing like that... I, um... don't know enough people for them to be untoward to me...
I just like drawing strange things, I guess.
