WHO: Sakura Tohsaka, YOU
WHERE: Recollé Park, the Leviathan's Claw
WHEN: 9.22.17
WHAT: Either Sakura's drawing your character as a fantasy trope or she's telling you ghost stories to sell wares. This girl's got shit to do.
WARNINGS: Maybe vague mentions of monster horror in her drawings/stories, but otherwise none!
I. Draw Me Like Your French Girls, Senpai
[There's only so long Sakura will allow herself to skimp out on drawing practice, so come Friday she heads out of her apartment early, art supplies carefully tucked underneath her arm in a pink tote bag. To her luck, she lives within walking distance of Recollé Park, and with the brisk morning air to clear her thoughts, she's in the proper mindset once she settles on the dew-dropped grass. For what exactly?
Well, that's where everyone else comes in. You might feel a pair of eyes on you, stranger, in the form of a young woman sneaking glances before her hand winds around her drawing pad. Though she'll do her best to avoid eye-contact, it's pretty obvious what she's doing. The real question is who is she drawing.
You?
Maaaaaybe.
For anyone bold or annoyed enough to demand an answer or steal a peek, they'll see Sakura's gotten creative with her people watching. She's not just drawing who she sees; between the gesture drawing and expression studies, she's traded normal outfits for a more fantastical flair, reimagining everyone as D&D characters. Perhaps she's decided you make a fine-looking Barbarian, Miss, or the person over yonder is looking particularly Rogue-ish today. And for the truly unfortunate among you -- Sakura did you just draw that poor dude getting eaten by the Kraken?
There sure are a lot of monsters in this sketchbook.]
II. I Wouldn't Turn Around If I Were You
[And after she inevitably loses her nerve and vows never to draw in public again--
It's work time! Specifically at the Leviathan's Claw, here to serve all your weird nicknack and supernatural needs. At first it seems no one's manning the front until you wander further in, and a smiling face pops up right behind you, esteemed customer.]
Ah, how may I be of service to you? Oh but please speak quietly -- [Voice in a whisper, she leans in with a hand half-covering her mouth. Her expression is dead serious.]
I haven't yet caught our Kuchisake-onna, and it's best you not see her without her mask on...
III. Wildcard
[What weirdness do you wanna see? I am here to make all dreams come true. Just PM me or leave a prompt, I will follow along.]

[ooc: For the first prompt, let me know if you prefer I RNG what Sakura draws your character as, or if you have a specific outfit you'd like seen!]

It's okay. Yours is about the size I'd expect from a farming-equipment scythe, but mine's three feet at the very least.
no subject
[Cue the furious erasing then as she prepares to adjust the size. The pose is of Shuji wielding his scythe in combat, a fairly dynamic pose, though who knows if she's gotten the move correct. For that she'd need a demonstration.]
That's like Shinigami long...
[... Maybe she should've drawn in him a black cloak]
no subject
It's still a stupid weapon in real life. ...But you can't say it's not cool as a concept.
no subject
[Okay, adjustments done. Looking at her picture with some semblance of pride, she flashes the work in progress Shuji's way] This better?
no subject
[He's not just saying that because it's him and he looks cool, although that's certainly a part of it. She's a good artist in her own right.]
no subject
... I guess that means I just need to decide on your outfit. What do you prefer?
[He's not naked in the drawing or anything - just gesture lines to be expanded upon. But really, it's clear Sakura's strengths lie in facial expressions, as despite not knowing Shuji well, her picture is dead on in that regard]
no subject
Lots of red, if you're going to color it. I don't know exactly what past me wore when he was fighting, but I know he had a cape.
no subject
Well, it's a decent start. I might break out my watercolors later.
no subject
[He might not be an artist, but complimenting specific things is always a good way to make a creator happy.]

If I really want to improve, I should probably draw scenery or something... but I'm a lot better at people than trees.
no subject
Improving's great and all, but there's nothing wrong with drawing for fun. You look like you're having a great time.
[He doesn't think he'd like drawing scenery that much, either.]
no subject
[Said with a shrug, a side-glance elsewhere. She threads her fingers through the grass that isn't even green.]
Work takes up more time than I thought... and honestly I should be looking into a second one. Apartments are pretty expensive.
no subject
[On the other hand: not surrounded by teenagers, so that's cool.]
If you're supporting yourself, that's really impressive.
no subject
[she's still really sore about that rat in her kitchen sink]
Maybe I should try like you and find a roommate.
no subject
It helps with money problems, but it brings up other problems. And if you just moved here, I don't know if you know anyone really well that you could share a house with... But it wouldn't hurt to put out some feelers.
no subject
True... [Hit the nail on the head, didn't he]
Well, it's a place to stay, so I'll try not to worry for now.
Besides, my kitchen sink works again! [she can wash dishes in the proper sink, it's amazing]

[Sakura...]
no subject
So... about two months?
[Listen, LISTEN, she didn't want to bother anyone about it...!]
no subject
no subject
Plus it didn't seem a big enough problem to call someone.
no subject
Okay, living on your own 101: when a problem occurs, it will not get fixed unless you take action. You either call a repair person or fix it yourself. And you don't have to worry about bothering repair people by calling them, because this is literally their job. You provide them their livelihood by calling them about your problems.

[She makes a vain attempt to defend her poor life choices but uh, no moral high ground today. The girl heaves a sigh while her shoulders dip]
no subject
[He feels bad for her, but really, this is her own fault.]
no subject
Something like that...
[A sad muttering] I made sure to pay him well...
no subject
I'm not trying to lecture you [he totally is] but I don't want you to deal with a broken something-or-other for another two months if that happens again.
