TEAM TARZAN LOG
READY: START Team Tarzan roster: Anastasia, Ikuo Ryuuzaki, Jack Kelly, Kasen Ibaraki, Keigo Asano, Kurogane, Kurt Wagner, Silver, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yaeger, Yosuke Hanamura, Yugi Mutou. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the monkeys howling... This is the Team Tarzan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!
The schedule for Team Tarzan is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 1 Part TwoObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |
THE G SPOT
Yet here he is, dressed up in armor, bearing some old ass sword, ready for adventure in some god damn fantasy castle. He's taken a damn crown. What other treasures can they find here?
...
Keeping his spirits up will make it easier for Jeager and the others, too. Hopefully, anyway.]
You ready to solve this puzzle and find some treasure?
no subject
He's likewise got some armor on but he's forgone any new weapons because nothing can top his totally awesome scythe/rifle/sword/crossbow/shield combo. He's ready for whatever this room has to throw at them.]
Ja, of course! Hopefully we'll be more successful in finding treasure this time!
[As opposed to the death traps he kind of had a crisis over.]
no subject
[Because there's nothing like a little arrogance to start them off for the day as they approach their next door.]
no subject
[You ready to do this? Hopefully you are, because Jaeger pushes the door open without waiting.]
no subject
[Silver stops short as he looks around the new room they're entering. It's full of fabric, clothes... This room's probably worth more than him. Damn, maybe he really did get lucky...]
Check it out.
[He hasn't worn something clean in weeks, let alone something like this...]
no subject
[He'll ignore the spinning wheel for now and move toward the clothes, but that's when the door slams shut behind them.]
...Oh no.
["Oh no" is right, given that the spinning wheel and the rest of the furniture begins to move as if alive.]
no subject
You know, I figured we'd have some kind of challenge, but an armory wasn't what I had in mind.
no subject
For what it's worth I don't think anyone could have seen this coming.
[There's a dresser advancing a little too close to them, opening and closing its drawers... menacingly. Jaeger swings his scythe down on it, cutting through the majority of the drawers and leaving the piece of furniture ineffectually trying to get its drawers to close.]
This should be easy enough though, ja?
[Easier than death traps and sand scorpions, anyway.]
no subject
[Croconaw doesn't waste any time in biting the squirming drawers. They're not delicious, but they're nutritious. Okay, they aren't really that either, but with the dresser stuck like this, it's difficult for the other furniture to advance on them.
This doesn't stop the vanity from trying to get them from a distance with spare ribbons meant for hair, however; Silver manages to cut a couple of them, but one moves quickly to wrap itself around his leg, and a few more go after Jeager and Croconaw as well.]
no subject
We need to get at that vanity to stop it from shooting anything else at us! Can you use your blades to take it out?
no subject
...This is much more difficult than he intended with the extra weight of the armor, but that's fine, because once he has a clear shot, all he really has to do is aim and swing. It turns out that if he actually swings a sword while he uses his psychic energy blades, it helps him aim much better; one slice of his sword sends out a quick slice of energy that slices right through the remaining ribbons- and a good chunk of the drawer, for that matter- in an instant.]
How's that?
[They're pissing off the wardrobes, that's how that is.]
no subject
Wonderful! Well done! Just make sure you don't fall from up there!
[Okay, so the wardrobes are advancing and opening and closing their doors like snapping jaws, but they should be relatively easy to take out, right? Jaeger stabs the dresser a few more times to make sure it won't be trying to knock Silver off, then climbs on up as well. They can get a pretty good view of the room from up here, but more importantly, there's still a lot of furniture to fend off.]
I wonder how we get this to stop? Do we have to defeat everything in here?
[He shifts his weapon again and brings the scythe down on one of the snapping wardrobes, though that only succeeds in getting it to try to full-body slam into the dresser they're standing on.]
no subject
...
Croconaw decides that he's also here for furniture wrangling and leaps up into the nearest wardrobe as well...!]
no subject
Jaeger will stick to the ground though, hopping off the other side of the dresser and bypassing the wardrobes entirely to make toward the center of the room. There's a spinning wheel there that looks particularly angry (as angry as furniture can look, that is) but he's stopped by another vanity. This one spits more ribbons at him and Jaeger dodges, though he's not fast enough to avoid all of the ribbons. A pretty pink polka dot one catches him around the ankle and pulls him down.]
no subject
no subject
One down! Are you having fun up there?
no subject
[Man these wardrobes are hard to steer, but Silver manages to lean enough to get the wardrobe to steer elsewhere. Better not run over Jeager, after all. Croconaw on the other hand has had enough of the wardrobe riding life, and leaps off to go back up Jeager instead. You doing okay, buddy? He's here to help. He's not sure what he's doing to help exactly, but he's here to do it.]
no subject
[Oh, hey, Aoi! Jaeger turns to hold up a hand in greeting.]
Done riding the wardrobe already? Let's take it down, shall we?
[It is advancing on them now that it's rider-less and it's snapping its drawers and doors open and closed like it's angry. Jaeger readies his weapon but then glances at Aoi.]
If you'd like to take it down, you're welcome to! Aim for the legs, that should render it useless!
no subject
Meanwhile, all good things have to come to an end eventually; there's the loud clanging of Silver's furniture meeting the wall as he's bucked off of his wardrobe ride.]
no subject
[And there's the sound of Silver's ride coming to an abrupt end, so Jaeger will turn to check on him.]
Are you okay?
[Please tell him you didn't fall wrong and break an arm or something...]
no subject
...For a moment, anyway. That wardrobe is still trying to slam him, and Silver rolls out of the way right before said wardrobe body slams the ground. Yikes. That would have broken more than just an arm...]
I'm fine, just do something about the wheel!
[While he, uh.... Uses super maria whomp logic here and slams into the wardrobe's back before it gets back up.]
no subject
I'm on it!
[He'll transform his weapon into its sword form and aim to cut the wheel, though the spinning wheel clearly isn't going to have any of that today. It rears up and Jaeger's sword hits one of the legs instead. You'd think this would incapacitate the spinning wheel, but now it's spitting thread at Jaeger and it isn't long before his arm is successfully pinned to his side, rendering him useless.]
Oh come on...!
[why can't he have even a little dignity, this is just unfair]
no subject
Silver, on the other hand, has not managed to stop the wardrobe by any means- and now it's starting to get up, in fact- but he needs to step in, quick, or Jeager's going to be wrapped up like a damn present. He braces himself against the wardrobe's back, then leaps at the same time that it gets itself back up; he's flying through the air towards the string holding Jeager captive! He's...
He's flying way too fast, and ends up falling right into the string rather than doing anything productive to actually cut it. Try not to fall over, Jeager--!]
no subject
NOPE NEVER MIND SILVER'S SLAMMING INTO THE THREAD]
Well, I appreciate the attempt. Are you alright?
[He's fine and he's struggling to get his arm free from the string while the spinning wheel whirrs angrily and tries to aim for Silver to wrap him up instead.]
no subject
[Silver struggles to break free! ...Silver is getting more and more tangled in thread. It's hard to tell if the spinning wheel is just good at its job or if he's just doing a really good job of getting himself tangled up. What he can manage to do, however, is cut the thread tying Jeager down while he's up this close. (Croconaw's snapped off another leg in the background. This spinning wheel's going down.)]
