TEAM TARZAN

Team Tarzan roster: Anastasia, Ikuo Ryuuzaki, Jack Kelly, Kasen Ibaraki, Keigo Asano, Kurogane, Kurt Wagner, Silver, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Yaeger, Yosuke Hanamura, Yugi Mutou.

The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city.

However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of the monkeys howling...

This is the Team Tarzan Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Tatsuo just lays there, blinking for a few moments, as he tries to see anything but green. He really would happily stare at the color for longer, but he can tell he's not in the city anymore. The sounds are too different; the smells are too different. Even the air feels wrong.

He climbs to his feet, looks around for a few seconds, and groans.

"Well. Jim warned us."

A forest. Or to be more precise, a jungle. Tatsuo checks both his cell phones, then puts them away.

"Error message. Why am I not surprised."

All the sudden green is hurting is his eyes. Jack's gotten so used to gray that at first, it's hard to even register what it even is, but as his eyes adjust, it sinks in.

A jungle. A jungle?

"Threatened us, more like," Jack huffs, taking a few steps around the area as he takes it all in. How the hell are they in a jungle? Last he knew, they were still in the city - the monsters were new, but it was still Recolle, at least. Wherever they are now, they've got to be pretty far from home.

"So what, we're stuck here? How're we supposed to get home if we can't even contact anyone?"

"Threaten, warn, I think it's the same thing to him. Then again, that could be the real explanation for why he got taken off announcement duty. He was telling us too much, in his own passive-aggressive way."

Tatsuo still thinks Jim's an asshole.

He shucks off his jacket as he looks around at the jungle. Were those paths?

"You have two options when you're lost. Go find help, or wait for help to come for you. But the later is contingent on someone knowing the general area of where you are lost. Which, I don't think is the case."

If he was back in Recolle and a bunch of people vanished, would he think to go look in a jungle? Hell no. A worse thought crosses Tatsuo's mind. What if no one even knows they're gone?

"That makes some twisted kind of sense," he admits with a snort. Jim deserved that, but now Jack has to wonder if that's a good thing. Janet was much more vague about these things, didn't even give the slightest hint. Not that they'd been able to figure out what the hell Jim was talking about until it was too late, anyways...

"Ain't that also dependent on being able to contact someone?" Pulling out his phone, Jack gives it a quick test and - nothing. "Maybe we should just start walking and see if we can find a way out of here on our own."

"Well, you kind of just keep going until you find someone," Tatsuo says with a shrug. "So yeah, pick a direction and start walking is about the gist of it. Though if we could get a higher vantage point, that might give us a better idea of which ways to start looking. We're going to need water the most, so if there is a stream or river nearby, we need to locate that first, and that can give us a useful landmark to follow."

Look, Jack isn't a survivalist by any means. He's hardly even been outside of Recolle. But picking a direction and just walking until they find someone? That sounds absolutely nuts right about now.

"Wouldn't it be better to make sure we're not gonna die first? Water's one thing, but what about food? And what about..." He gestures vaguely out at the jungle. "What about whatever's out there? Aren't there snakes and... I dunno, jaguars and stuff out there?"

He might be starting to panic a little oh god. And all this right after he just got back to Davey? Of all the things to happen, they end had to end up in the middle of freaking nowhere...

Jack gives Tatsuo a helpless look. "So we just pick a direction and try to find water? What happens if we don't?"

Tatsuo has nothing by the way of survival training, but he does know how to do a basic search grid.

"It doesn't have to be random. There are organized ways to explore this immediate area bit by bit. Once we find water and food, we can start looking farther. There is water here somewhere; it wouldn't this green otherwise."

He's... not really going to say anything about the animal issue. He's not really sure what to do about that. He only has so many bullets.
