It seems like someone is manually picking and choosing from a list of every Retrospec user who didn't disappear into the void, and several names queue up. > initialize support team CONFIRMED. The screen clears itself, and instead of the familiar retrospec logo, there is simply TEAM ETHANOL as a designation. the application will refuse to show anything other than a map, with one point highlighted in red. it is, of course, up to team members to decide whether or not they approach the access point. Team Ethanol's access point is in the Recollé Graveyard. Team members will find the grave of "G. Mahoney" will move aside to reveal catacombs so long as they approach it in groups of two or more team members. Only Team Ethanol team members can see or enter the catacombs at this time. Please see the Objective 1 toplevel for more information on what they can see when they travel further down the tunnels. This is the Team Ethanol Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. WEEK TWO WRAP-UP

[ following the room 10 exploration, wendy guo will beeline for the terminal, drag an employee badge out of her pocket, and jam it into a slot that appears.

when mahoney shows up, wendy waves. wendy herself, for those who didn't meet her already, is in jeans and a leather jacket a old t-shirt, a sword strapped to her back. ]

[ wendy: ] Yo, doc.

[ mahoney: ] Guo. What were you doing in the crypts...?

[ wendy: ] Like any of us planned to be where we ended up? Is it seriously you and the intern??

[ mahoney: ] Daquiri has retrieved Joanne, and we're aware of Mr. Baroque's location.

[ wendy: ] The boss? Where is he? I'll go -

[ mahoney: ] There's a team handling it; are you capable of enacting protocol 352?

[ wendy: ] Which one is...oh, right. Serious? Yeah, sure. Does that mean you're going to -

[ mahoney: ] Correct. I'll place you in charge of coordinating Ethanol for the time being. Alert me when you're done.

[ AND THAT APPEARS TO BE ALL MAHONEY HAS TO SAY. wendy makes a face, but retrieves her card and turns back around. ]

That's that, I guess. What kind of weapons do you all know how to use, anyway?

[ a note: i will tag (...with varying speed as i wrap up other teams!) as many tag-ins as i can, but please note that wendy/i will be focusing on her question about weapons/information about their week 3 objective over small talk/other questions! she may answer other things but the focus will be on the week 3/weapons given time/tagload. thank you! ]

This thing, for one-- anything smaller and close range, though, I could make do with. Mostly used to unarmed fighting past that, unless you're gonna count gravity as a weapon.

[he pauses, considers, and adds-]

I remember shooting a gun? But I haven't tried that yet, so who knows if I'm actually any good.

Well, pick a weapon. Weapons protocol means you're all going to be armed with something specific - I'll set up the gauntlet, and at the end...well, sounds like the Doc's going to do something drastic. Apparently you've all been seriously deputized here.

Lucky us, huh? But if that's the case-- yeah, I'm good. Already brought what I'm most comfortable with, unless you've got access to a better one or something.

[he does like this knife, but y'know, never hurts to be sure.]

A war fan works. I'll mark you down as that for the protocol. Geeze, I haven't had to do this since...well, a while. Should be a good time.

I have this. Though my sword fighting is not very par with the others, so I have to rely on Modeste, which you also sent her to me many months ago.

Retrospec gave me the ability to create bombs from metal. I can make them as big or as little as I want depending on the amount of metal I can get.

[ just gonna grab two more bladed weapons as if he's dual-wielding why is he like this ]

I also borrowed a sword from Mrs. Wagner, but I'm still no good at it. Retrospec also gave me a steak knife for some reason...

Did we? [ a shrug. ] Anyway...basically, whatever weapon or ability or what the fuck you pick will be powered up and better able to stand up against unreality. You can pick one, and I'll see to it you get it - as long as you run the gauntlet to do so.

I fence, but it hasn't exactly been useful against the insanity that lives down here. Zombies don't care much if you stab them, who knew?

The protocol can up your sword's effectiveness...though all of this will go the fuck away when the twists are finally over. But you'll need it before then.

The only weapon I'd claim any familiarity with is the bo. I'm more accustomed to using my bare hands over anything else.

[ Especially since even her staff experience is less sparring and more performance, anyways. And while she did get that weird memory that implied she knew how to use swords, she's pretty sure she doesn't, outside of that new companion. ]

Though I suppose I have that little sword thing to help as of now.

Eh, there might be some? Kinda depends on the luck of the draw, dude. You all will probably have to do at least one fight, though.
