WHO: Yuuri and anybody who signed up for Zumba! (it's okay to handwave/offscreen that your character signed up!)
WHERE: Dance!!! Studio
WHEN: Backdated to Saturday morning on the 18th
WHAT: ZUMBA!!!
WARNINGS: None, but will update if necessary
The class will start with Yuuri giving a short introduction on Zumba, what the format of the class will be like, and letting everyone briefly introduce themselves (tell us your name and something about you we should know). After that comes the warm-up and then the real fun starts! Music will be playing loud, and everyone will be moving a lot, but that doesn't mean conversations can't happen (it's just not a very smart choice). Also, Yuuri will be demonstrating both low and high impact versions of the same steps so everyone can work at their own pace. If you get tired, it's totally okay to take a break or just stay in place marching! This is a no-judgment zone.
Since this is the first class, the steps will be easy to follow, so everyone can start getting the hang of things little by little.
Overall there will be around 10-12 songs, including both warm-up and cool-down (and alternating with high and low intensity). There'll also be lots of clapping and cheering after every song and at the end of the class.
tl;dr: It's going to be fun, noisy, and high energy. This is meant as a general Zumba mingle, so feel free to have prompts at any point before, during, or even after the class.

Well, it's only my first time, so I don't know if I could suggest anything useful. But I'll try!
no subject
Oh! No! I mean, you don't have to think of any feedback if there's nothing you want to say!
W-What I'm trying to say is... whatever you feel like doing is... okay.
no subject
Yamato just laughs; it probably sounds like he's laughing at Yuuri's flustered rambling, and he kind of is... but it's an endeared laugh?? Yams has no tact, forgive him.]
Okay, okay! I won't worry either way.

Sometimes. ]
Yes, good! [ He nods, finally pleased with that answer. ]
Oh, I was wondering, how did you find out about this?
no subject
Oh, Anya told me to come. [Normally he'd bust out the honorifics with "An-chan", but he doesn't want to do that if Yuuri wouldn't know who he meant.] And I knew a few people who said they were going, too. My roommate's over there.
[A vague handwave, in the direction of Kashuu and Yato probably aggressively tangoing or something.] I've never really taken any dance classes or anything, so I was curious to see how the movements would compare to fighting.
[Of course.]
no subject
He glances at the other two quickly, before nodding back to him. ]
That's okay, you don't really need to have any kind of dancing experience to—
[ Wait, what did he just say? ]
—e-excuse me?
no subject
He simply smiles in the face of Yuuri's confusion, brushing his bangs out of his face.]
I do kendo! And I've studied a couple of other things [Like how best to give an asshole a broken nose without getting blood all over your hand] so I was interested in seeing the difference. A lot of people say fighting and dancing are very similar, you know.
no subject
[ He considers that briefly. ]
Hmm. I feel like I've heard that somewhere before...
[ Takes a hand to his chin, tilting his head to one side as he further ponders this. ]
Fighting does involve some level of choreography too, especially in movies and the like. You're totally right.
[ IT'S LIKE HIS EYES HAVE BEEN OPENED ]

[BEAM SPARKLE SPARKLE. He looks so pleased...] I know there are a lot of different kinds of dancing, but that's the same on my end, too. No matter what, you have to be aware of your own body and the people around you, isn't that so?
no subject
Yeah, not only that but you also need to be aware of your own abilities and limitations... and you need to study and train constantly to keep in shape.
no subject
[It's impressive, even if it's not terribly accurate!]
You said you do contemporary dance, right? What is that like?
no subject
[ No, that just sounds bad, Yuuri you're the worst at this. ]
I mean! It's very different from other dance styles—it's a lot more performative and it can be either about telling a story or something more abstract. Dancers are allowed to improvise, and it borrows different techniques and styles from other genres.
no subject
But it's easier for him to understand than Yuuri might think. He nods like he gets it, anyway.]
So it's like... what's it called, interpretive dance? Is that it? With all the-- [What follows is a series of extremely dramatic hand motions and expressions... yams??]
--right? [yams that made no sense, stop]
no subject
Yeah, interpretive dance is a broader term for it, but that's it, essentially.
no subject
[Kind of; most of his knowledge of dancing comes from movies, nightclubs, and fighting. So, y'know.]
Do you perform?
no subject
Um. Not—Not currently. [ Probably not ever, but. Details. ]
Teaching is very demanding, so I'm mostly focusing on that right now.
