READY: START Team Yzma roster: Carmen Sandiego, Dave Strider, Elizabeth, Emil Vasterstrom, Juzo Sakakura, Lucy/Kaede, Penelo, Seto Kaiba, Shouto Todoroki, Souji Seta, Yato. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of thunder... This is the Team Yzma Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! The last time it was Morse code. I doubt this time is just for show, either.

[She says, her eyes tracking the flashing right along with Dave's.]

...Okay, so...that wasn't Morse code. [ trivia mom lessons say. ] Maybe we need to pull out the ones that got lit up?

[ he'll like, wait for an opinion on this since clearly touching things sets off traps sometimes and carmen is The Brains here. ]

Of course. So, Simon says it up? There were two bein' lit at the same time each time - maybe we need to pull them out at the same time for each step, like the lights said. Go team?

[ having said this, he'll move towards one of the first-lit vials and wait for carmen to head to the other! ]

You said yellow was a component - maybe we're doin' orange right now. [ put a drop frm the vials in the thing? ]

It's worth a shot. Do only a drop first, though — there's no telling what's in that container, or how it might react to what's in these vials.

A'ight. [ vial one...drop one. but there was a pattern to this, and nothing really happens, so - ] I think we should complete the pattern?

[ since nothing EXPLODED. and yes they have to do the drops in sequence, so - here we go y'all, rhythm games ]

Agreed. Let's follow it and see where it leads.

[And evidently it's going to lead us to five separate vials, one after another, before this little game of Sanguine Says is through.]

[Congratulations, you guys made...

...blue. It's now a blue beaker. What happens next? It looks pretty harmless and there's no smoke or steam or anything wafting off of it.]

[ dave will reach out and take the beaker. WHY NOT. ]

[I hope Carmen is good at catching things, because as soon as Dave sloshes the liquid, a puff of smoke explodes in his face and he shrinks down in size. Somehow, the shades also stay on.]

[Are you kidding, she's a master of quick reflexes and quicker grabs.

...Though I suppose that begs the question of whether she's in danger, too, if she grabs the beaker and sloshes it herself.

[Okay well no offense but cats land on their feet and that beaker looks like it might be glass so let's just grab the beaker and fuss over Dave in the aftermath.]

[ DAVE CONCURS, landing fairly gracefully and then just.

well this is a thing that is happening? ]

and really it looks as though she wants to dwell a little more on the utter implausibility of this but you know what, she's already been shoved into hammerspace today and now Dave is a cat and there will be time to object to all of this later, probably.]

Let's look around for an alternative, first. It looked like there was fur on the table over there, near those restraints. And maybe there's a way to reverse...whatever just happened, like this.
