TEAM YZMA LOG
READY: START Team Yzma roster: Carmen Sandiego, Dave Strider, Elizabeth, Emil Vasterstrom, Juzo Sakakura, Lucy/Kaede, Penelo, Seto Kaiba, Shouto Todoroki, Souji Seta, Yato. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of thunder... This is the Team Yzma Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! Please read each of the toplevels and instructions!
The schedule for Team Yzma is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Objective 1 part twoObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |
WEEK THREE OBJECTIVE - FINAL ROUND + WRAP-UP
Upon completion, Surina sets the panther for specific coordinates to head home, deeming it too dangerous for them to chase after the artefact that she's sensed. However, it's really not up to her. Not long after the party loads up into the mecha, the room vibrates again and the wall's ripped away. Staring out into open space, the group will see a lot of dark planet-like shapes, the stars, and the imposing form of Styerck in a large, looming ship.
Styerck not only seems to be blocking their path home, but also seems to be holding onto what appears to be a smaller ship. In order for the party to get home, they'll have to work together and control Aytron to defeat Styerck's ship. This can be done by piloting the mech, using its bladed weapons and laser weapons to attack Styerck's ship, dodging the enemy and ripping apart Styerck's ship with the jaws of Aytron. Destroying the top half of the ship will create a sort of vortex that will suck the alien right out of his ship and send him off to the great beyond for Surina to deal with later.
The Aftermath
Upon defeating Styerck, the party will be able to navigate through space to grab the smaller ship. Inside appears to be a body, and given the state of said-body, he's been dead for a very, very long time. However, clasped in his hand appears to be a couple of flash drives that the party can bring back into Aytron. Under Surina's guidance, they can play them on the screens inside the mech.
On screen, the party will see a lot of research written in a language that doesn't appear to be one that they're familiar with, and though Surina can read it she will only give them the briefest of rundowns. The research is about the rebirth of worlds and how preserving life from planets lost can help regrow them. Though planets may be destroyed, if even one specimen from a planet can be recovered and start to regain ties to those worlds, they can begin to take root and start over.
In addition, they will find information about something labeled "The Recollé Project" with a map of the city. Surina will read the information and confirm one thing to be true: the memories, items, and abilities the people of the city are getting truly belong to them. It isn't so much a reincarnation as it is a reconstruction project, bringing forth buried information.
That's all she will say, however.
With that, she once again sets the coordinates for the party to head back to the city in her mech, conversing with them the whole way. She will tell them that there's still work to be done to stabilize the world for now and that she will be leaving them shortly. But for now, they will need to ride as her champions and help their friends defend the city once they arrive.
i hope we were supposed to respond to this | GO FIGHT WIN
He puts his game-face on, eyes sharp as knives, brows furrowed, hands steady. And then. ]
--Right.
--Does anyone know how to use this thing?
[ He stretches the camera towards all the buttons. ]
no subject
[ JUST PRESSING RANDOM BUTTONS AND PROBABLY DESTROYING SHIT TBH, which I mean is what they need to do, so good. ]
no subject
[ LEAPING FORWARD ]
no subject
[ watching a bunch of mecha anime doesn't mean you automatically know how to pilot a mech soooo ]
no subject
Maybe.
[ be a little more encouraging, liz ]
no subject
I don't know, I can't read half of these dials.
[Pushing a lever forwards, he made some...blades? Pop out of the mech's back though. Like wings, but giant energy swords instead.]
Found a weapon.
[...which button actually turned them on, though?]
no subject
Suddenly he regrets not watching mecha anime. Overwhelmed by the numerous possibilities, he doesn't even press anything, just watches the energy swords on the screen. ]
Holy shit...
[ He slams his hands onto the console pressing a few buttons...and that's how Juzo figured how to shoot lasers. ]
no subject
It roars soundlessly in the airless space, turning ponderously to look at their mech with all those red eyes.]
What did you do?!
[She's mostly mad Juzo figured out to use the weapons first.]
no subject
[ TOTALLY NOT SORRY ]
no subject
[She's never not voting for murder again. Fire away!
One of the buttons seems to finally make the blades flicker to glowing life, though their light is dim and they're far out of melee range anyway. The blade set highlights on the wireframe, with a low percentage next to it. Maybe the charge was controlled elsewhere?]
no subject
[ nARROWLY AVOIDS SLAMMING THEM INTO THE OTHER SHIP ]
I think I'm getting better.
no subject
Lucy didn't know who did that, but she's an equal opportunity shouter.]
Warn me before you do that!
[SHE HATES SURPRISES]
no subject
[ He just assumes that she's yelling at him because well. It's just like their relationship is. ]
That was close. How about this one...
[ This lever on his left just wants to be pulled. And Juzo can't resist the urge.
His seat goes up shortly after. That's it, that's what the lever does, good job. ]
no subject
He's pretty sure the panther's mouth bit down...?
He'd love to be on solid ground.]
no subject
Except for Juzo, but then again he didn't push a button.]
Did you break your neck, Juzo?
[Don't answer that, let her dream.]
[Also there was a lot of green alien all up in the rangefinder screen suddenly. UH. Lucy turned one dial that finally seemed to be the correct one, making the blades light up with hot plasma. The alien didn't seem to like that or the bite, from how it started violently shaking itself.]
no subject
[ She probably does. Not just probably. He's 100% sure she'd like him to meet that fate. But it's not going to happen today...maybe.
It's time to slam his hands on the panel again and hope for the best results. It's not as bad as it could be, given that it's Juzo. Lasers shoot from the mecha's eyes right into that enemy ship. ]
Laser eyes?! [ And, in a whisper: ] ...That's so cool.
I made an oops
The lasers leave ugly lines burnt into the side of Styerck's ship, and the vessel starts flying towards them like it was going to crash into the mech if they didn't move.
Kucy couldn't reach anything that controlled propulsion here, but that didn't mean she didn't try. She turned that dial up, hit some more buttons she couldn't read, and the blades flared brighter.
Someone else would have to move them. At least if Styerck crashed into them it'd have plasma can openers sticking into it's ship hull.]
Re: I made an oops
He hits that.
There is flame coming right out of the paw, which makes the ship swerve narrowly to avoid a crash ]
Who's driving!!
no subject
Penelope has spent most of the last few minutes gripping her seat and trying not to giggle and get all giddy over how awesome this is. It's incredible. She's in a mech. And... oh shit that's an incoming]
Hey! I think this is one of the thrusters...
[Pushing it...and everything seems to speed up.]
Woo!
no subject
--Sorry! Really didn't mean to, where's my radio, is this thing on, guys what's happening up there!
no subject
Okay, everyone shut up! Let's focus and wreck this guy so we can go home.
[ Styerck's ship loops back around for another sweep at them... ]
He's coming back. Emil, do that thing you just did with the fire again and dodge when he's close. Then the rest of you use your weapons and stuff as hard as you can while he's passing. Got it??
no subject
[ kind of. he IS getting better?? ]
Gettin' us closer now.
no subject
[ FULL SPEED AHEAD and hopefully they will not fuck this up and die extremely spectacularly. ]
no subject
Guys, this thing has heat rays in it's eyes...
