READY: START Team Yzma roster: Carmen Sandiego, Dave Strider, Elizabeth, Emil Vasterstrom, Juzo Sakakura, Lucy/Kaede, Penelo, Seto Kaiba, Shouto Todoroki, Souji Seta, Yato. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of thunder... This is the Team Yzma Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! It is one of her cooler points, I agree. I'm not certain what or who she was fighting that time however... [ ... ] I'm sure it doesn't matter.

Maybe it'll become clearer to you.

I found a friend who was in my memory. But... I didn't know it then.

It'll make sense. Eventually.

You're the third person I've met who's had that experience. [ As far as she knows, anyway. ] Do you... Rather, how do you feel about finding people in this life that seem to resemble or seem to be the people in your other self's life?

[ she's heard two opinions on this sort of thing before, she's interested in Emil's. because she still has no idea how she'd feel, frankly. ]

Sort of, yeah? And sort of... no, too.

Like, there's my one friend. And in the memories I have of her, she's so... clear?

And then there are these two others, and in the memories I feel like... I'm really close to them.

But in real life, I feel like... they don't even like me?

...That's simply because you're a different person than your other self—at least, that's what a friend of mine has told me. We're not bound by whatever contrivances or relations our other selves may have been—they don't matter, really. It would be nice, I suppose, if you became as close with them as you are in your memories of them, but...

[ ...how does she say this? Elizabeth frowns slightly, rubbing her glove. ]

You shouldn't let yourself feel too bad over it if things don't work out that way, and take comfort in the relationships you already have or can foster into something far nicer in this life.

I... guess.

I feel kind of bad for the other one?

He doesn't... really have friends. I mean. He has some friends. But not like I have here.

And things aren't so good for him... I mean, besides that.

Wish I could help him, you know? 'Cause he feels like... me.

Do you ever get that feeling?

[ Feels like... her... ]

Not really. I wouldn't call myself a Lady of Life Experience either, but her abundance of knowledge-by-hearsay is troubling. Or perhaps I should call it child-like innocence...? She... believes in fountain spirits that grant wishes, and in offering them large amounts of tribute as a bid for their favor... She never did make a wish, though.

[ That one's a little easier to talk about, given she's done it before, but she still sounds fairly unsure about saying it—the last time she did it, it was over text, so. ]

I think I would be a little embarrassed to be seen with her, so I can't say I'd like to help her learn about the world, either... That, or I would be wrought with worry...

You don't feel... attached to her?

[ That's kind of sad... ]

It's... kind of like he's a part of me, you know?

Like when things happen to him, I remember them... as if they happened to me.

I guess... it's just hard to distance.

unsettles her.

The excitement and teasing is all well and good, but it's terribly unsettling to realize the other her seems to be fairly easy-going and naive and generally reliant on the word of one boy, who does seem to be nice? Quiet and nice. And other her is getting more and more curious about him, and Elizabeth is, too...

She sighs and shakes her head, ahhh ahhh. Truthfully, if she could get rid of this one part of Retrospec, she probably would? She probably would. ]

As do I, but I suppose we must have very different experiences on that front. She's just very... [ Mmmh. ] It's easier to say that the other you is likely better socialized than the other me is, I think.

[frisyr]

Well, are you worried about her?

[ He frowns. ]

Maybe they remember things about us.

If you can remember this, we want you to make friends! Lots of friends.

[ EMIL, YOU'RE CUTE... Well then— ]

I'm sure she'll be very encouraged by such kind words. Is there anything you'd like to say to other Emil?

[frisyr]

Um... Hey other Emil, I'm sure you have a good reason to be a thief, but can you consider something else? I could help you! I'm going to school in the winter and maybe you can remember what I learn, so... Anyway, good luck!

Her naivety aside, she seems like a rather go-getter sort of person, so I don't believe she requires any from me.

Anyway. I'm glad at least we're all in this together.
