READY: START Team Yzma roster: Carmen Sandiego, Dave Strider, Elizabeth, Emil Vasterstrom, Juzo Sakakura, Lucy/Kaede, Penelo, Seto Kaiba, Shouto Todoroki, Souji Seta, Yato. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of thunder... This is the Team Yzma Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. [Lowering her pen, Pen shakes her head and smiles sadly.]

Nah, I'm just a hobbyist. I don't write anything more than jingles, really. But I like doing it.

I was into singing in some of my hallucinomemories. Me, personally? I guess I'm technically a music producer now.

[ He thinks of himself less as a professional producer and more as Anya's one-man promo team, though. ]

Plenty of hobbies can turn into a career.

I've already got one though. I'm a programmer. And I do YouTube videos. Music is just...well, it's just for fun.

But what do you produce? Anything I might know?

Music and YouTube go hand in hand, y'know. Where else do people go to look music up?

[ Yato, a serial job hopper for most of his adult life, sees nothing wrong with taking on multiple career ventures in search of the best one. And now that he has a chance to talk even a little about Anya, Yato brightens. ]

I produce for Anya! Or Anastasia, as some people might know her now. But at night, I moonlight as a cook at the Inkwell. They're not mutually exclusive, see?

Well, there's spotify, pandora plus, amazon music, itunes...but I'm not really looking for a music career I guess. I like what I do, music's my hobby.

[Laughing, she taps her pen against the paper and shakes her head.]

I'm not familiar with her. But hey, I'll make sure to check her out. When we get outta this, send me some tracks and I'll see if I can work them into a show. I do plugs for local artists and stuff all the time.

Can do. And if you come up with a jingle you like, I'm sure we could find a use for it. Anya only made her debut recently, but she's on the rise! Soon, we'll need material for commercials and all that. Hobby or not, that could be extra money in your pocket.

[ And it'll be good on her resume if she changes her mind. ]

Hah, well. I'll definitely keep that in mind. I mean, I'm a college student. No way am I turning down money. I just...this is more to keep me from wigging out.

[Patting the paper, she smiles somewhat weakly.]

But you know, if there's a particular musical style you want me to write something in, I can try? That might be more useful than just banging my head against a totally new tune.

Anya's got this night sky kind of concept. Cool and calming, but sparkling like the stars. She's into the kind of music that'll make people smile. And hey, if inspiration strikes you and you end up writing an entire song, we can talk about that too!

[ And -- can you believe this -- he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a business card, which he'll offer to Penelope. ]

Sure. Though, if you need work done for a website or something that is where my real specialty is.

[ My god. But he can appreciate an opportunistic self-marketer. And tech stuff is his weakness as an everyman, so this is actually a useful connection for him. He takes the card and offers her a hand to shake. ]
