july 6th. lemonade, feat. beyonce
[ lemonade stands. a summer staple for young girls across 'merica. for some dumb as reason since lemon is pretty tart and not really refreshing?? but whatever.
if you're at the park today in viea village, you will find an almost decent LEMONAIDE STAND *ade $2.50 in a nice shadey spot. but instead of being run by some cute, small children it's run by a 20yo woman wearing a a crop top and blasting beyonce from a bluetooth speaker shaped like a cat. but there is lemonade! one of those pitchers with spouts is full of the yellow stuff. there is a second one with pink lemonade, as well. there's a stack of white paper cups.
at passerby, the "aren't you a little old for a lemonade stand?" woman is saying, ] Lemonade! Fresh homemade lemonade, made with the FRESHEST of actual lemons that were just dancin' this morning! Get it here folks.
[ beneath the table one can fairly easily spot the box of crystal light drink mixes. there's also an 80% chance she used the drinking fountains for water... listen, she's drinking it? it's safe?? ]
july 7th. sandcastles in the sky
[ are you at the beach today? is your eye drawn to odd sand-structures? then you're in luck, because there is a girl in a pink bikini and short shorts trying to build a sand... something
a castle, maybe? it looks like roxy has taken some design tips from picasso. being that she's 5'6, the piles of sand seem to be reaching that as well. the trouble is apparently making it look like a castle. there's also patches of beach that are clearly missing sand. HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO BUILD A 5'6" SANDCASTLE?? ]
july 7th, evening. never gonna let you down
[ do you live in a nondescript apartment building somewhere that I'm being vague about so as to allow for wiggleroom in who replies? then you might not want to answer the door this evening when you hear a knock.
but if you do answer it, you will find a young blonde woman. she's holding a a sheet of music. she begins to sing. ]
We're no strangers to looooooove. You know the rules and so do I do I. A full commitment's what I'm, thinking of. You wouldn't get this from any other guy.
[ her voice is actually decent, but she goes a bit high and a little... someone singing the national anthem at a football game is comparison. she's really putting in the soul??? THE PASSION. will you let her even get to the part everyone knows, person? ]
july 8th. obstacle course
[ at the park again? then get ready to wonder why there are a fuckton of pumpkins andgreengray cubes covering a section of grass. like, somewhere between 300-500 of each, uh. they appear to be organized into some sort of... obstacle course.
the course features: a few cube walls to be jumped over, a pumpkin hopscotch, cube stepping stones, a pumpkin-and-cube staircase leading to the monkey bars, the entire playground is apparently an option to run through before you hit a waist-high wall of pumpkins and cubes sturdily stacked agaisnt a bench.
and you may approach just in time to see a blonde girl try to dramatically leap over the final wall... only to miss and catch her foot on the bench sending it all, and herself, crashing to the grassy knoll below. ] MOTHERFUCK--
[ roxy there are CHILDREN around holy shit ]
wildcard
[ or hit me with something else. roxy's own bingo card is here, so if you'd like a square hit me up atmercurialfelines. ]

sands
Would you like any help?
[ She's about his height too, and he needs to build a sand castle for the bingo card as well. ]
no subject
Oh, I dunno, are you a licensed sand contractor?
[ she's joking please help her her sand contractor license expired. ]

I'm afraid that the only sculpting I have done is in clay. But if you would be fine with that being my only experience...?
[ Being able to sculpt a little in clay is far different from building sand castles, but that doesn't matter, does it? ]
Park
Oh, it's... being run by a grown woman. Naoto looks to the left, and looks to the right, and sees no kids making a beeline for the stand. But the misspelling...] Are you holding the stand for a sibling of yours, perhaps?
no subject
[ she knows damn well she doesn't. she could have lied and said yes and made up a six-year-old sibling but she's proud of her work even if that work includes... a misspelled banner by a grown ass adult in college. ]
no subject
Though, uh, I see you corrected it at least.
july 7
[He raises his eyebrows and shows her this one on his bingo card. Might as well get it done here.]
no subject
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you dooooooown. Never gonna run around and desert youuu.
no subject
[This is very serious. They're very serious kids.]
no subject
We've known each other for so long. Your heart's been aching, but, you're too shy to say it.
no subject
[It's genuinely horrifying how straight-faced he does this.]
Off to the beach!
Although, the moment that she saw patches of sand missing? And seeing a young woman trying to make a giant sandcastle?
Obviously, there was one conclusion!]
You're really ambitious, aren't you?
no subject
[ she smiles, then thinks about it for a minute. ]
Or, well, I guess it wouldn't, cause being two feet tall building a two foot tall sandcastle would be just as hard? Perspective, or whatever.
no subject
[She said before walking a bit closer]
But would you like any help with that?
Rick Roll - Oh God I'm laughing so hard right now.
What?
no subject
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling, gotta make you understand.
Never gonna give you up! Never gonna let you doooown, Never gonna run around and deseeeeert you. Never gonna make you cry, Never gonna saaay goodbye. Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you!
[ now she's just. adding an air guitar solo. ]
Still laughing.
Um, pardon, but could you please stop singing? Your riling my dog up. [Kai is still going ballistic in the background, eagerly scratching at the doggy gate to get a closer look at the interesting new lady. Its less territorial aggressiveness and more playful curiosity, honestly, but riled up is still a pretty good word for it.]
Sandcastles in the sky
Now that he's here, Peter thinks it's a waste to leave immediately, and soon he's talking a walk with a popsicle from a broadwalk vendor. He only intended to walk by himself and let the seabreeze go through his hair, but Peter stops and looks with curiosity at the strange mounds of sand across the beach.]
Excuse me, young lady, are you practicing abstract sculpture?
[Peter doesn't even realize his accidental diss.]
no subject
It's supposed to be sculpted like a fricken' castle, but this shit is way harder than it looks on TV.
[ it seemed like it would be so easy?? just shape sand like a castle! easy! turns out: not easy. for a novice with no building skills, anyway. ]
for ami
Ya'd think they'd learn to make, like, spill-resistant ice cream by now.
[ ami will likely recognize roxy from her retrospec userpic (which is a selfie) or just from. kind of looking like an older, female dave strider tbqh. ]
no subject
Oh nooooo! [D: That's a sad sight. Perfectly good ice cream, wasted! Let us observe a moment of silence for-]
Yeah, I think the best you're gonna get for spill resistance is waffle cones, unfortunately. Or just getting it in a cup, but where's the fun in that?
so sorry for the lateness on this!!
Man, that's just sad. Cups suck. Unless they're like, a cone cup? Like if they made a cup out of the cone stuff, that'd be cool.
[ she glances over and doesn't quite recognize ami, but has the vague idea that she looks familiar?? it's a small city, who doesn't look familiar. ] Nice outfit.
no worries!
[Ami glances down at her borrowed outfit and smiles sheepishly.] Thanks. It looks pretty preppy, right? Normally I'm all goth all the time, but it's for bingo...
