[ This is no ordinary "hopscotch".

This is the king of all hopscotches. It stretches down a sidewalk of Viea Village, from her house down to the end of the block. It's monstrous, with various areas marked off in chalk as "dangerous" and "sea monsters, BEWARE!!" and all of that. Numbers are stretched out as well, connecting edges being thin bridges between the large spaces with actual numerals on them. Also, everything is either red, yellow, orange, purple, or white.

Essentially, Elizabeth had too much time on her hands, and now Goro's unfortunately been roped into this. He's Akechi in her phone, so he's the first name on her list... ]

...and if you land on any of the obstacles that would normally end your life, such as monsters or lava, you must return to the beginning. Any questions?

mari ~ have a chocobo race

[ ... So all Elizabeth really knows about Mari is that she loves horses because their noses are soft, and that Chocobos are good too but horses are better...

but this is obviously enough to think that Mari's definitely been around one or the either before, and thus she's a prime candidate for this square!! Hence: she's been invited down to the horse Chocobo stables-school-place in Apprassage for a ~special race~. The winner, of course, will get a prize, which she's promised to reveal as soon as Mari gets here, along with the rest of the details.

And once she is: ] We'll do three laps around the school's track, and the loser will treat the winner to an all-you-can-eat buffet! Or to food in general, whichever. I'd quite like an all-you-can-eat ice cream adventure, especially with this heat, but I'm not certain those exist...

[ for her part, she's picking a lovely white chocobo that looks sort of like it just wants to go back to sleep. she pretty much chose that one because she's never ridden a horse, much less an oversized bird, before, and thought its laid-back disposition might be easier to handle. ]

[ Elizabeth's basically been hanging out by the fountain in Recollé Square all day, waiting for people to toss in their coins so she can ask them their wish. Most have declined to answer, because if they tell then it won't come true; others declined because it's not something she can help with.

So she's still here when Ann comes by, and this is it. She's decided she's getting the jump on this. She'll ask before anyone has the chance to throw in some dumb coin!! ]

Are you here to wish for something, and if so, what is it? I'll do very my best to grant it.

[ ann is here! well. more like she's just passing by the fountain, and there happens to be a wild elizabeth sitting on top of it, granting wishes to those who desire it. she's caught off-guard by the question, and actually has to look around before she points her finger at herself. ]

[ it's not quite sarcasm, it's a little too light for that, but it isn't quite teasing either.

[ SOMETIME AFTER FISHING AND WISHING...

It's just luck that they have the same square!! And what better way to clear it than to do it together. Elizabeth's sort of going for a full-clear on this thing, okay, she'll opportunistically ask people about their sheets and match when she can—

For now, though, the question is: ] Do we go acapella, or do we find an instrumental version to sing...? I'm partial to the former, and it's more in line with traditional caroling... though I suppose this caroling is anything but traditional, seeing as it's both summer and not the usual song for it.

Anyway, Yosuke gets a relatively light slap on the cheek. It's not gonna sting too much and it's not gonna make a mark. They never said how hard it had to be, after all... ] That should suffice... Did you really think I'd be able to knock you out?

[ He's actually a little surprised by that, though maybe he shouldn't be. Hitting a girl--even fake hitting--just seems like a wrong thing to do. (Which is also inherently unintentionally basing her supposed delicacy based on her sex, but that's one of the many hurdles he'll have to overcome. Just not right now in Retrospec. He's just glad she actually didn't go for it.)

Yeah, it's a pretty simple little thing. Yosuke blinks, touching his cheek gingerly more out of the fact that it didn't hurt than it should have. ]

[ Elizabeth freezes, almost comically so, and slowly looks around. When she can't find it on her body, she... looks up. In her hair...? ]

Perhaps my chance at love's come sooner than expected. [ She's joking, and she's very delicately lowering her hands. She doesn't want to disturb it, and she's almost certain trying to catch it will do that. ] Winter's the same way as well, isn't it? The chill encourages everyone to group up, and there are even holidays to promote it... Spring is lovely, as is fall, but they feel like transitions between two seasons that truly seem to promote spending time with others.

[When he first comes across the weird booth-thing, Ragna assumes somebody must have a "make the most ridiculous-sounding booth and convince people to pay for your services" space on their bingo, but after listening closer to the woman's speech (weird as it is), he figures that isn't exactly the case. In fact, that sounds somewhat useful. He could use some help with his own bingo, too, and it looks like he can't avoid cooperation with others for it... even if he's a little wary of that.]

... Let's assume I'll take you up on that. You're not gonna feed me anything weird if I agree to it, right?
