[Now that Shouto's main focus isn't the fact his arm is on fire. He notices that Souji... isn't on fire? And seems bewildered.]

No, fire... doesn't hurt me.

[ That's the simplest way to put it, he thinks. ]

It doesn't seem to hurt you either.

[Shouto just accepts that at face value. Sure, Souji can't be hurt from fire.

Makes sense. Look, he can set himself on fire- it's not the time to question the world.]

... The fire I produce doesn't hurt me. I don't know about other fire.

What about the time I accidentally set your coat on fire?

I didn't have my powers then.

[So he shrugs. He doesn't know anything for sure.]

[ So they can't use that scenario to help determine anything. Hmm... ]

... why did your arm suddenly catch on fire though?

... I didn't want to get hit in the face.

... so it's a defensive reflex?

I can also turn it on and off if I try. [He'll demonstrate- a little fire dancing across his left hand for a moment before he turns it off.]

It also happens if I'm too cold.

[ Interesting... That definitely seems a lot more useful than Souji's fire powers since he has to summon a giant monster every time he wants to use it... ]

When did you get your powers?

[He's pretty sure he doesn't have any giant monsters living with him. His double had ice and fire, but here he is with just half of it.]

I've burnt a lot of shirts.

Maybe you should start wandering around shirtless then. It'd save you the trouble of burning any more and also save you a lot of money.

That sounds terrible. Aren't there already shirts without sleeves?

Like tank tops? Those would work.

If you want to rip off your own sleeves you should do that.
