WHAT: The log for the blind dates event! Awkward dates and disasters within.
WARNINGS: None!

It’s finally the fated day: Valentine’s.

Some of Recolle’s citizens might be going out, spending the day with their loved ones, while others might be sitting in bars, crying into their drinks. For a number of “lucky” ones, they might have gotten dragged into a blind date!

The Narukami twins have done their jobs. All the matches have been released. Partners have been assigned. Messages have been sent out. Now all that needs to happen are the actual dates. So, run free, everyone. The entire city is there to be their playground. They can go on their own respective dates, join up with other couples, spy on others, sabotage some, anything is fair game. After all, it’s not really fun if someone’s not crashing on another person’s party, right?

This is an open mingle post, so multiple threads can happen anywhere and everywhere. Indicate if the thread is closed if you’d like to keep it private, however! [She'll step closer, eyeing the car with the sort of contempt only a university student can muster, which is to say it's not as bad as an art student's contempt, but it's there.]

Where... are we going, again? I can't recall if we ever picked a spot.

[Not that she'd have many suggestions.]

[ If Victoria still had those beads, they'd surely be glowing green... On the bright side, she gets to ride in it. Besides, Émi is a University student herself, just... from a rich family. ]

There's a nice little café I know, where thy make the most lovely tea...

Oh? [Green maybe. Thankfully those beads have also found their way into Victoria's closet where they may never return.

But she's finally in the car, and settled somewhat awkwardly into her seat.]

How nice. I... guess I could have expected something like that. hehe...

[ And at the same time, Émi settles into the driving seat. And hey, there's plenty of creature comforts in this car... which is a hybrid, as it turns out. ]

Given your... demeanor, I thought somewhere quiet would be best.

[ Seatbelt on, and she'll be ready to go. ]

[Huh. Sporty.

Her seatbelts done up. Ready as she'll ever be, here in the passenger seat.]

Well I'm flattered you thought so?

[she wouldn't have really thought about doing that for herself.]

[ Well, she better hold on, because the car can get up to 30 mph in a second... and Émi does just that with it.

At least she slows a bit and keeps to the speed limit afterwards? ]

Right, it should take... ten minutes to get there.

[Sorry, did you think Victoria wasn't going to keep a strong grip on her seat? Because she wasn't. But they they suddenly jumped forward at a rate that pushed a breath out of her lungs.

...Nice, er, car you've got.

[ Whoops. It could be worse.

She giggles a bit. ]

Thanks, it was a gift. I've not even crashed once.

[A gift? Really? It's not in Victoria's nature to be jealous of others. But.

Well, at least the ride from now on is smoother. She can sit a little more comfortably now.]

Victoria keeps her eyes on the road for the most part, slowly going from awkwardly seated, to somewhat relaxed. That's the most she can hope for right now.]

...So. [Uh. Hm. She'll need to start the conversation eventually.] How... far is it now?

Oh, we should be there soon.

[ Indeed they were. Not long afterwards, they arrive close to the café... Émi then parks, hops out, and opens the door for her friend. ]

[Excellent! The cafe is in sight, and Victoria is actually rather excited to get out of here.

She steps out with the grace of a shaky deer, nodding to Emilie as she heads over to find a seat.]

Now then... [ Émi says as she closes the door and locks the car before following... ] What do you fancy? The tea here is excellent.

Hmm... There's so many? How about one of the simple ones?

[She does enjoy chamomile sometimes.]

[ Émilie is fond of chamomile herself, and Victoria looks like she might benefit from its calming effects... so she'll order that for her. ]

Chamomile, perhaps?

[Boy, the least Vic can do is find a seat for the both of them? This one by the windows seems nice.]

[ Well... a bit risky, given the heiress' fame, but it sounds nice. ]

I think I'll get black tea for myself. Pick us a seat, I'll be back in a moment.
