VALENTINE'S DAY EVENT - BLIND DATING [OPEN]
WHO: Anyone and everyone! Even those who didn't sign up for the event!
WHERE: Anywhere in Recolle
WHEN: Valentine’s Day - Feb 14
WHAT: The log for the blind dates event! Awkward dates and disasters within.
WARNINGS: None!
Some of Recolle’s citizens might be going out, spending the day with their loved ones, while others might be sitting in bars, crying into their drinks. For a number of “lucky” ones, they might have gotten dragged into a blind date!
The Narukami twins have done their jobs. All the matches have been released. Partners have been assigned. Messages have been sent out. Now all that needs to happen are the actual dates. So, run free, everyone. The entire city is there to be their playground. They can go on their own respective dates, join up with other couples, spy on others, sabotage some, anything is fair game. After all, it’s not really fun if someone’s not crashing on another person’s party, right?
( ooc: As promised in the OOC sign-up post, here is the IC post for all the blind dates and related events to occur. This is an open mingle post, so multiple threads can happen anywhere and everywhere. Indicate if the thread is closed if you’d like to keep it private, however! Feel free to use the post as a general mingle as well. Anything is free game here! For any questions, please direct them over here and we’ll try to get back to you ASAP. Have fun! )

He is. He's been playing professionally for longer than I've been alive--so I play too. He used to give me piano lessons during sound checks.
Dad plays a pretty wide range, but I know he's got a soft spot for Scarlatti. Italian, but just out of the Renaissance, if I'm remembering right.
[He notices the difference in her tone when she talks about her father. Maybe this is a chance to get her to open up?]
It sounds like you've got a lot of respect for your father. What sort of a person is he?

[She smiles warmly, though a part of her makes a note to brush up on her own playing so she doesn't seem too far behind.]
My father is- well, he's a brilliant man. He's the type of person who seems like he knows everything, at least it felt that way when I was younger. He's incredibly diligent and focused as well. He puts everything into his work. He doesn't waste any time on useless things. I... I should probably call him later, after this. Although then again the time difference is- I'm sorry, I'm rambling.

I'm all right, but I'm nowhere near my father's level. Still, if you're asking, I'd be happy to play for you.
[Little does she know he's making the same note to himself. He still plays here and there, enough to be a snob online to amateurs and then show them up when they accuse him of trolling, but if he's going to actually play for somebody, there are no do-overs when he messes up.
Apparently, though, asking about her father was the right choice. Dante's got a smile on his face as he listens to her talk about him, shaking his head when she cuts herself off.]
You're fine. I can tell he means a lot to you--I mean, we may not know each other very well yet, but I can see some of the things you mentioned in you, too.
So what's the time difference between here and there? Five hours for England, right?

Thank you. But um, yes... he lives in Crawley, which is close to London for some reference. My family is English and Welsh, though.

My dad wasn't about to give me an excuse to quit practicing. If, after dinner, you're not tired of my company yet-- [a slight smile to let her know he's joking] --we could see if it's still in tune. Just promise not to tell him I've been slacking.
[It's definitely in tune, he still practices, and Dante is a dirty liar. But he wants to make her feel comfortable, so that's okay, right?
By this point, the restaurant is coming up on them. Dante's just going to take a couple steps forward if he can to try and grab that door for her. Ladies first?
