WHAT: The log for the blind dates event! Awkward dates and disasters within.
WARNINGS: None!

It’s finally the fated day: Valentine’s.

Some of Recolle’s citizens might be going out, spending the day with their loved ones, while others might be sitting in bars, crying into their drinks. For a number of “lucky” ones, they might have gotten dragged into a blind date!

The Narukami twins have done their jobs. All the matches have been released. Partners have been assigned. Messages have been sent out. Now all that needs to happen are the actual dates. So, run free, everyone. The entire city is there to be their playground. They can go on their own respective dates, join up with other couples, spy on others, sabotage some, anything is fair game. After all, it’s not really fun if someone’s not crashing on another person’s party, right?

This is an open mingle post, so multiple threads can happen anywhere and everywhere. Indicate if the thread is closed if you’d like to keep it private, however! [It is a date. And there's no harm in hand-holding. Her fingers tighten just a little bit when she feels the warm weight of Honoka's hand on hers, head bobbing in a polite acknowledgement. Mentally, she promises that despite this being unexpected, she was going to put her best foot forward because Honoka presumably did sign up for this and it'd be very wrong to disappoint her.]

That sounds good then. Let's go.

[Turning she starts off to the car, adjusting her bag and pulling out her keys with a jingle.]

You know, I don't think I asked. Did you actually sign up for the blind dating thing yourself?

[She's curious, mostly. No reason, not at all...]

Oh, totally! It sounded like a blast and it's not like I had any other plans for today. So I thought, why not! The worst that could happen is maybe I get paired with someone I don't super get along with but it all worked out in the end, right?

[ And saying "I have a date already" is an A+ excuse for getting out of work at Homura Bakery today. It's a good job Honoka likes sweets as much as she does or she'd be sick enough of the sight of that counter to scream every time she goes in. ]

So you don't need to kick Yosuke's butt for me too. But you totally should.

[ SORRY, YOSUKE??? ]

That's true enough. We know one another. That makes it easier, I guess.

[It's not like Yukiko really ever bothered with dates and such, but she imagines it might be nice with the right person? Or, well...something like that. She just didn't have the interest in it, normally. But hey, maybe this will change her mind. It's possible.]

And believe me, Eleanor and I are going to. We've got our plan figured out, and you'll get to see the results tomorrow.

[Arriving at the van, Yukiko unlocks it and opens the door for Honoka.]

He's lucky we got paired up. If I'd gotten stuck with some creep, he'd be paying with blood.

Man. Yukiko, has anyone ever told you you're crazy scary? Like, in a good way. But still.

[ she clambers into the van and plops her bag onto the floor between her feet. It shouldn't get kicked around too much (unless Yukiko's a crazy initial d driver) but she'll keep hold of it anyway once she's got her seatbelt clipped on. ]

I guess I gotta wonder what you would've done if you got someone else though -- would you just be like "sorry, got plans"?

[She doesn't think she's any more frightening than any other girl. And while she definitely can and has taken this van running in the 90s, with a passenger she takes her time.

Nodding at the question, she answers and starts the drive. ]

Yep! I wouldn't go out with a creep or anything weird. But you aren't.

[Truthfully Yukiko is just less guarded around girls. And maybe she agreed because disappointing Honoka is beyond her. Who'd want to make that cute face frown?]

Yeah, I do my best to keep my creep level in acceptable ranges.

[ she's grinning like a fool and flops back comfortably in her seat. It's still pretty weird to think she's on a date with Yukiko of all people. It's definitely not unplesant but it's not what she was expecting out of Valentine's Day. She gets the feeling it should probably actually feel weird or different since it's a date but right now it's just like any other outing with a friend. That's probably he weird part. ]

You got any ideas for what you wanna go see? Apart from a comedy flick, I mean.

Well, there was that one movie with Nick Rage? We could go see that one. I hear it's funny.

[For Yukiko, honestly, this isn't a big deal. Dates aren't really her thing, and she hadn't signed up for a reason, but since it was a "date" she'd still do her best. Because Honoka deserved that much. And really, a date with her would be fine. She was acceptable, by whatever bizarre criteria Yukiko Amagi chose her partners based on.

Or, whatever. Did she even have them?]

But if there's something you want to see, that's just something I heard was funny.
