Izakaya Drunkenness [OPEN]
WHO: Derek, Tatsuo, and Anyone else who is sad Japan lost Asia Cup 2019
WHERE: Some low key Izakaya in Tribunal Terrace
WHEN:Early to late evening (after 5pm) Feb 1, 2019
WHAT: Japan lost Asia Cup and Derek is being a supportive friend and helping Tatsuo mourn
WARNINGS: Drinking, alcohol, drunken crying, which will probably carry over into the Retrospec post

Derek, like any other ardent soccer fan, was following Asia Cup very closely. He check in on the game during lunch and was later sad to find that Japan lost. Due to Tatsuo being one of his close friend, his only choice was to support Japan and he was really hoping that they would win. Sadly, his hopes were replaced with disappointment. Of course, no one was a sad as Tatsuo. The look of forlorn sadness made Tatsuo look like a puppy that had been kicked multiple times. This only meant one option: Cheer Tatsuo up by taking him out for sake and food. What else was there to do? Tatsuo was there for him when Japan lost and then France's win in FIFA, so the only logical solution was to do the same for Tatsuo.
Instead of doing work he looked up an Izakaya, and sent out a text through all of Retrospec:
Due to Japan's loss in Asia Cup today, I mourn in the solemn moment for anyone else that was supporting Japan in hopes of a victory. I, as a supportive friend, am dragging Tatsuo to [insert name of place] Izakaya in Tribunal Terrace after work (after 5pm) and will probably be there for many hours. All others heart broken due to the result of the cup are welcome to come and join us in drinking sake, eating various food (yakitori, curry, omurice, yakisoba, etc.), and supporting each other in this sad loss. May Japan win next Asia Cup!
A bit of a dramatic text, but when is Derek never dramatic?
When 5pm hits, Derek drags Tatsuo to the Izakaya and starts ordering food. The establishment is small and quaint, but Derek heard the menu selection and food was excellent. And the place had good ratings on google.
If you come by, you will see Tatsuo and Derek probably on their 2nd or 3rd bottle of sake with various plates on the table. Join them and experience what it will be like to be around two very drunk CSI. Not there yet... but they will be.

Haven't been since the end of October, actually.
[ Because you know, 3-4 months is a long time to be a Legal Adult, and being a Legal Adult and actually being An Adult are totally the same thing. ]

[Derek picks up a yakitori and then slides the plate over to Bakhura.]

[ He'll snatch a few yakitori for himself before Derek can take the plate away. ]

[Derek takes a drink of sake and then coughs.]
It makes me a proper adult. Done university, graduated with two degrees, I have a full time job, paying off my loans, I rent my own apartment, and I own a cat AND an owl. You?

But if being younger than you is enough to mean that I'll always be a kid to you no matter how old I get, then being older than me is enough to mean that you'll always be an old man to me no matter how many accomplishments you have.
Meanwhile, I still have plenty of time to worry about all of those things even though I'm legally an adult, at least two of which aren't going to be on my list once I graduate.

A kid a kid. Accept your fate. Call me Sensei!
[He then swings an arm around Bakhura's shoulder. With is free hand he grabs a piece of Tamagoyaki and attempts to shove it in Bakhura's mouth.]
Eat, eat, eat!

Not if you're going to call me a kid, عمّ.
[ No, he's not going to translate that, because his mouth is full right now and that's rude. ]
no subject
[That's what that sounded like to Derek.]
Don't you mean Nom?... But yes, it is yummy isn't it.
[Derek reaches over and grabs another tomagoyaki.]
Here have another.
[He places it on a plate in front of Bakhura. He then grabs a stick of yakitori and places that on the plate too.]
Oh you should also tries these...
[And then Derek just keeps placing pieces of food on Bakhura's plate... yup... he's getting pretty drunk...]
