[Maybe you weren't even in line of sight of Shuji. Just about everyone has a reason to be out and about on a Saruday afternoon, and nobody wants their day interrupted by the ground falling out from under them. Maybe you don't even instantly recognize that the library entrance you fall into would be part of Shuji's subconscious and not anybody else's.

This is how things ended up for you today, unfortunately. Might as well take a look around and see if you can't spot the man himself.

Haven't they gotten a chance already? Seems to me Shuji's been forgivin' 'em for way too long.

[She gives a nervous laugh and sighs.]

...he really hates our memories, doesn't he? Or the idea of becoming the same person.

I want to be the old me because I want to be a better person. Mr. Tsushima tried to tell me once that I couldn't, or -- or shouldn't. And now there's this new version of me he remembers, who's scared and sad and -- and a total mess! But... I mean, he's doing his best, right? He hasn't become a bad person at all.

Don't get me wrong, if anybody can keep from turnin' into a scumbag just because their past them was one, it's Shuji.
