[Maybe you weren't even in line of sight of Shuji. Just about everyone has a reason to be out and about on a Saruday afternoon, and nobody wants their day interrupted by the ground falling out from under them. Maybe you don't even instantly recognize that the library entrance you fall into would be part of Shuji's subconscious and not anybody else's.

This is how things ended up for you today, unfortunately. Might as well take a look around and see if you can't spot the man himself.

[Well, this is certainly different. Winding up somewhere unfamiliar is something Jaeger's getting used to, so his first instinct is to check and see if there's anything that might be immediately a threat. His second instinct is to check for his weapon, since he usually carries that with him wherever he goes. Does he still have his briefcase or are we doing this without weapons?]

[No immediate threats, unless you're terrified of paintings or stairs! Shuji wouldn't judge if you were.

Jaeger still has his briefcase, and it still does that transforming thing.]

[Excellent on both counts! The last time he woke up somewhere unfamiliar he didn't have it and got shot, so you know. Always good to check.

Now then! Since there's nothing immediately threatening to kill him and he's still armed, he'll head on up the stairs to check out the paintings. He loves the arts! He is totally here for fine paintings. What's going on in these?]

[Jaeger's priorities are definitely in the right place.

A casual glance suggests that most of these depict milestones in Shuji's life - Shuji graduating from college, Shuji signing the cover of his first published book, and so forth. If Jaeger happens to touch one, he'll be filled with a feeling of accomplishment.]

[Well of course he's going to touch one, what do you think he is, a person who wouldn't touch the artwork?? Honestly.

That sense of accomplishment is nice! But it'll also get him to draw back immediately because having feelings from other people in his head is weird and suspicious and also the last time that happened it was terrible. So! He'll just look at the paintings.

Are these all happy moments from Shuji's life?]

[Mostly they're what you would consider milestones. Moving out of the college dorms finally, first kiss (it's a tasteful painting and no one Jaeger would know), that sort of thing.

There's definitely nothing upsetting here, at least.]

[Nothing upsetting is good, at least! One last question before he moves on, do all of the paintings look similar in terms of quality/coloring? There's nothing that looks completely out of place or destroyed or anything like that, right?]

[Some of them look newer, but those are the ones that happened more recently! So, for example, 'first vacation with the family' is pretty faded because Shuji's a little kid at the beach in that one.

Nothing looks damaged or out of place.]
