Derek had known for a while that Draco Malfoy, the boy he had seen in the memories, was loaded. But he never expect to see any of that money. Retrospec wouldn't be that kind would they?

I. The Blue Mailbox

[Derek is standing in front of the blue mailbox in Tisse staring at the bag that is inside the box.]

No way...

[Derek reaches in a picks up the bag. It's heavy and there are definately some coins inside. Derek pulls open the bag and peers in.]

HOLY SHIT!

[Inside are gold, siver, and copper coins! Derek looks arond to see if anyone has noticed his reaction.]

II. The Pawn Shop

[After thinking about it for a few days, Derek decides to take a few of the coins to a pawn shop to see how much he could get for them. The coins were solid gold, silver, and copper so he was pleasantly surprised to find out how much they were each worth. He tells the shop owner he won't sell them just yet, and pockets them. He exits the pawn shop with a slight bounce in his step. This money could really turn things around for him, Noah, and Sakura. His mind is reeling with the numbers of how much he could possibly get out of selling the coins that he doesn't realize that he runs into someone when stepping out of the shop.]

Oh, sorry. Didn't see you there!

[This is Tatsuo, looking at Derek with some concern because he just exited a pawn shop.]

Derek. Are you okay? If you're having trouble, you know you can talk to me, right?

[It was pretty difficult not to notice! Roji was just passing by, but Derek's shouting has caused him to come to a screeching halt, complete with a deer in the headlights sort of expression aimed right at Derek.]

A-Are you okay? Is everything okay??

[ oda's was going to continue his life as normal until he heard derek's loud reaction. but now, with a mix of curiosity and concern, he's going to get a little closer to derek. ]

_{[ Yogi lets out a loud oof when he hits something solid, gripping his phone tightly to keep it from dropping. He really didn't need a cracked screen, or worse to have to replace the device! Not on his college budget! Okay, he shouldn't have been walking and texting, but it was Kasen...

Anyways, he blinked when he heard the voice, looking up and smiling when he saw a familiar head of blonde. ]}

No, it's okay! I wasn't looking where I was going. How have you been, Derek?

_{[ He looked up at the shop and back at Derek. ]}

Everything okay?

[Derek notices this college age student looking at him. Shit... how does he handle this? Derek holds the bag behind his back and does an awkward wave.]

Uh... hello! Lovely weather we're having aren't we?

[Derek... why do you think this will work?]

Uh, yeah...

[It’s enough to momentarily stun Roji with confusion at least. But soon enough his gaze wanders toward whatever Derek is unsubtly trying to hide.]

Are...you okay? [The question bears repeating.] I heard you shouting, and...

[Derek looks at Oda and starts to panic. Shit, is this something he should let others see? Derek starts to fumble with the bag to move it behind his back when it slips from his grasp and fall to the ground, coins spilling out.]

Shit!

[Derek kneels down and starts desperately shoveling the coins back into the bag.]

[Derek gives Tatsuo an amused look.]

You expect me to turn to you if I have money problems? I know you currently make more then me mate but come on...

[Derek looks at the person he bumped into. Oh, it was Yogi, Li-Na's friend.]

Yogi right? Uh, yeah, I'm doing pretty good. Better than good really. You?

[Derek quickly interrupts the guy]

Oh... THAT... uh, I was just surprised by the item Retrospec gave me in the mail box. It's really nothing... just a bunch of pieces of metal.

[PIECES OF METAL! DID I REALLY JUST SAY THAT!?]

[Derek reaches into his pocket and pulls out the galleon, sickle, and knut and shows them to Tatsuo.]

S-Seriously? I would’ve never expected that to happen so often! [Or at the very least, more than once.] It was pretty crazy finding a place for her to stay in the apartment for a night, but she was a sweet horse.
